I'd love to see those hardware prototypes, not that I'd ever make it there. The designs that never get to market can give a lot of insight into the thoughts of those who worked on these products.
Thank you!! I'm extremely excited to watch this! It's really cool that they have the scaled down architectual model of the building on display! I have a t-shirt with that Zelda stained glass, it's the actual best. Ty
I have finally got round to watching this, and......the inner child in me is so, SO happy!!! The Nintendo Museum is going on my bucket list. My brother might put this on his bucket list, too! Thank you Ian - You Are A Legend. 🥰🥰
Thank you Ian, that was such a treat! I doubt very much that I'd be going to Japan one day, but thanks to you, if I do go, I'll make to visit this museum!!!!
That's pretty cool. I'd love to go to Japan again at some point. I went there in 2010 and had a lovely time. Kyoto has a bunch of cool sights I didn't get around to (or completely forgot about) at the time, so if I go to Kyoto I might add this museum on a rainy day. If the weather is nice I'd much rather just rent a bike and ride around the streets, visit temples, castles, and gardens. The cemeteries on the hills in the eastern bits of the city have some nice views over the city, which is pretty flat.
When I finally get my tickets I will be beating a link to the past on the 7 minute game thing. It's honestly quite easy to do but I doubt anyone has yet lol
Are you planning on visiting the Nintendo Museum? What are you most looking forward to seeing and doing when you get there?! - Ian

There was even a super early N64 controller design prototype that was molded out of clay!
@@eurogamer Noice; an early mould blank perhaps.
We're dying to see the display showing the history of the Game & Watch. Anything you can tell us about that?
Thank you!! I'm extremely excited to watch this!

Can't help but notice that you've rounded the tip on one of your playing cards there, Ian.
Ian in the wild videos are always a treat.
Nice video. Loved the use of Nintendo music to set the atmosphere
the “yoshi egg” next to pikachu’s tail is almost definitely a pokémon egg

I think I'm going to cry, I really want to go now
3:00 ah yes, any square-grid pattern is exclusively a Tetris reference.
Thank you Ian, that was such a treat! I doubt very much that I'd be going to Japan one day, but thanks to you, if I do go, I'll make to visit this museum!!!!
2:09 Actually, that's Donkey Kong Jr., not Donkey Kong.
That's pretty cool.

Someone NEED to take photos of the prototype section oh my god 😭😭
Honestly I was gutted I couldn’t! There’s some insanely rare treasures in there!
I'm trying to convince myself that my desire to go visit Japan for this is because my kids would love it and not just me really wanting to go for me.
Damn I really want to go
Loved it!

I hope you had an amazing time in Japan, Ian!
Thanks Ian!
0:33 What a pleasant surprise!!! I can't wait to be there late this month! (Yes, I won the lottery!)
I think you forgot to mention that Lloid from Animal Crossing was somewhere in the cafe
2:36 where did the first manhole picture come from? I can't seem to find it in any prefecture online, and it looks kinda AI generated
I wonder if there any Splatoon references:o
Fun fact: Mario is in the museum
Pff, there's no way they could afford to license the actual Mario.
I want a nintendo museum video game!!!! Nintendo should make one for those who can't go!!! I'd pay 100 USD for it.
I thought Hatena was from flipnote studio
I want to go to Japan again!
😯😯😯😲😲
Is Nintendo still popular in Japan?
They have a taxidermy of the first lawyer they used to sue a 12 year old girl who emulated super mario sunshine!!
That's not how things work.
@@user-be3qc7re9o You're fun at parties.
