I think the Rock version of Don Muraco doesn't get enough love. Dude was huge, vascular, and ripped. To me he had the best physique in wrestling at the time. When I was a kid, the Barbarian's just immense thickness especially from the back just had me in awe. One guy that wasn't mentioned that definitely deserves to be on this list was Sid Vicious. In his prime just a massive human being.
@@rickydefrosh3206 Rick Rude was more ripped and had huge arms. Let us ignore his legs, because Rude has admitted he did not work on his lower body, his upper body still didn't seemed evenly proportioned. Ultimate Warrior and Lex Luger seemed to equal out the best.
@@rickydefrosh3206 I think Rude did not have bodybuilding aspirations, so he wasn't interested in evening out his physique. Just lean and ripped with big arms. He understood what was needed for pro wrestling and his character. Yeah, skinny legs, a reason he wore the long legged tights. Kevin Nash said something similar to himself, when his pant leg was ripped and his stick legs were showing. He stated, that was the reason he will never wear shorts in wrestling.
Kerry Von Erich is one of the biggest what ifs. He had the size and looks to rival Hogan. By the time he made it to WWF, he was a shell of his former self and was actually wrestling with only one foot due to losing the other one in a motorcycle accident. It's amazing he was able to maintain that level of physique after such a horrific accident.

The Ultimate Warrior is my favorite wrestler of all time. Amazing in my 40s and when I heard you make his theme music, I started bobbin my head and getting pumped up. His intensity was insane and will never be matched.
Hercules Hernandez is so underrated. Him and the ultimate warrior snapped his chain. It was a great feet of strength. Not to mention, he look like Lyle Alzado. Warrior had the best physic out of anybody. I loved him man. He’s the only wrestler who could slam Andre the Giant when Andre didn’t want him to. Rick Rude had the best shoulders until Scott Steiner.
I'd say that surfer Sting had one of the best proportioned physiques ever. At nearly 6'3" and around 260lbs (275lbs when a Blade Runner), Sting looked both buff and athletic; he had probably the most impressive lower body. He basically looked like a more agile and sleek Road Warrior.
I was right about to type the Stinger but I read your comment. Surfer Sting was WCW back then! He was jacked, darted around the ring, executed strength and power moves as well as flew off the top rope.

I met lots of wrestlers outside Maple leaf Gardens in Toronto in the 80’s.By far the most intimidating looking guy was Hercules back when he was the masked Invader in Mid Atlantic. It was summertime and he came out the back of MLG and he was wearing a cut off white shirt and I can’t explain just how big and muscular looking his arms were. There was myself and around 50 or so other fans standing around waiting for the wrestlers. Not one fan went up to him.We all just stared at him walking across the street to his car.He was that intimidating!!!
I had family that were huge into pro wrestling, but I was never super into it. Growing up in the 90s and 2000s I did see my fair share though. This was a fun little trip down memory lane.
Mark, you disappoint me my friend. You forgot about the monster from Munster, Achim Albrecht, IFBB Pro Bodybuilder, debuted in the WWF in 1996 under the name "Brakkus". I lost count of how many issues of Flex and Muscle & Fitness that this guy donned the cover of. Not the most fruitful pro bodybuilding career in terms of victories but he was always very popular. 8 pack abs and crazy legs.
Never had a bodybuilder physique but Mike Awesome late 99 early 2000 had a great look. Especially that match against Spike Dudley at Guilty as Charged 2000. Probably his best ever!
Excellent video! There were some absolute freaks like the Warlord and Jeep Swenson. Scott Hall before he became Razor had an impressive physique. It was during the mustache days. My favorite physique was Warrior, but Tony Atlas and Steiner were probably the most jacked as far as a comparison to a pro bodybuilder.
Had a great physique in his very early Razor days, too. But yeah as Big Scott Hall & The Diamond Studd? That was his physical peak. His AWA and 1st WCW runs.
As per my comment on Rick Rude I'd also the Ultimate Warrior was super jacked, but it was help by stick by being a little crazy in the ring that sold his character. Props to them all!! 👍👏

Back in the day, I was impressed with Ivan Putski , Dino Bravo, and I remember a guy that was in the WWF for a very short time in the late ‘80’s or early ‘90’s that was 100% bodybuilder, 0% wrestler. Brakkus was his name, I think.
I haven't even started watching this yet and I'm a huge wrestling fan since the eighties! But Sid Vicious and Road Warrior Hawk had better make this list!!!!
Snuka. And he looked unreal when he first arrived, but started putting on a lot of weight. I remember the NE Patriots gave him a try out in the early 80s
The ULTIMATE WARRIOR was the best built…. He was a true bodybuilder in past. Even won Mr Georgia. He pressed guys over head way bigger than he was including Hogan and even Andre the Giant was flipped and slammed 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
More mass equals more strength, like in powerlifting (which pro-wrestling training is a lot like with tons of heavy explosive movements). Ironically, it should be more believable for wrestlers to be chunky like back in the 60s, but that doesn't make for a flashy show, though. No matter how jacked, a shredded physique will almost always be weaker than if he had more fat on him.
Prior to hogan you missed polish power and road warriors manager paul ellery but youre right it really started after Hogan. Morocco the greatest transfomation Ive ever seen in my life! Ultimate Warrior had the best physique but had the worst cardio and conditioning. Great music, too
Billy Graham should be mentioned as well
He was mentioned. Watch the video again
To me Kerry von Erich and Takanka(a competitive Bodybuilder) had the best Physiques . Also Paul Roma, Jimmy Snuka and the very jacked version of Rick Martell.
I always thought Billy Gunn had one of the best. Sculpted, looked attainable, was still able to move with it.
Dude STILL has it. He looks like a beast even now.
Scott Steiner blew all the rest of these guys away including ultimate warrior. Conditioning and size
also synthol filled arms...
Really interesting video! I just want to throw in Ivan Putski's name because that dude was yoked back in the 70s!
The ending theme tune music earned this a legit thumbs up
The Warrior was much solid and bigger when he was in a tag team with Sting in the mid 80s.
Lots of BB guys now, and gals. Jordayne Grace on Impact, Jade Cargill on AEW, Bianca Bellaire. Guys like Austin Theory, Madcap Moss, Elias, Rick Boogs, Bobby Lashley is still active, Bron Breakker, I'm sure there are more current wrestlers with bodybuilder physiques.
Damn do I love your content Marx
Love your renditions of ultimate warrior & Owen Hart's themes. ⚡⚡⚡
I met Kerry von Erich incredibly impressive physique and tremendously athletic. I got to know him well and he was a good man with a good heart. RIP good man
Marx Max Beat Box. Awesome ending!
Eddie Guerrero had one hell of a physique too!
Adorable Adrian Adonis, Buddy Rose and Dusty Rhodes had the best physiques
I was always cubby from a kid to in my early 30’s, watching Rick Rude Consistency from 80’s to 90’s he was who I looked up to and got in the best shape in my life, cause I wanted to be lean, shredded than bulk
Back in the day, I was impressed with Ivan Putski , Dino Bravo, and I remember a guy that was in the WWF for a very short time in the late ‘80’s or early ‘90’s that was 100% bodybuilder, 0% wrestler. Brakkus was his name, I think.
Ted Arcidi was stacked as well in those times...
9:35 Forgot to mention The Natural Disasters. Earthquake and Typhoon.
I haven't even started watching this yet and I'm a huge wrestling fan since the eighties! But Sid Vicious and Road Warrior Hawk had better make this list!!!!
Sorry but I have to say the guy who was a genetic freak and one of the most amazing body in all of wrestling, was Jimmy Superfy Snoka
Snuka. And he looked unreal when he first arrived, but started putting on a lot of weight. I remember the NE Patriots gave him a try out in the early 80s
TONY ATLAS who actually won bodybuilding contests.
Mr usa
Very nice Video. I love both♡
I was team Wrestling since i was 7 i think and i loved BB since i was 14 about. Thx for this🙏🏻👍💌
Big Poppa pump is my favorite!! Austin Idol is a another one!
Lot of guys today look normal, not jacked or fat. Like Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Dominic.
@@ASTRUM502 You can't compare today's flippy wrestlers to 80's/90's guys
You're so funny bro 😂. Love the videos!
Kerry Von Erich - no question. Let me invite you to look at the Kerry's segment on Wresting Bios !!
oh ya Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat actually did compete too
Prior to hogan you missed polish power and road warriors manager paul ellery but youre right it really started after Hogan. Morocco the greatest transfomation Ive ever seen in my life! Ted Arcidi and Jeep Swenson the only 2 I can think of maybe more bodybuilder like than anyone. They were both even bigger than Warlord
He missed the Polish Hammer Ivan Putski, who also competed as a bodybuilder. And Ken Patera was jacked.
