    Excellent vid my friend!
    You did an excellent job. Good background music 🎶. Not so loud that I couldn't hear you. The dialog came over loud and clear. Good coverage and organization of your thoughts and observations concerning the S/P overall. If I hadn't been researching for the past 4 or 5 years,all the different products out there. Your vid would be my benchmark. I've been watching S/P product videos for along time now. I am quite familiar with the product line. Even though I haven't gotten mine yet. So once again. Good job. Glad you're out there enjoying the beauty and elegance that is our world 🌎. Nature is a wonderful place to be. Take care.

    Awesome review, man! I went to the overland expo PNW last month to check them out in person, then I saw Pack Out Camper. I ordered mine on the spot after the demo. I was sold on how modular the camper was and the gas strut-assisted floor, bike mounts on both sides of the camper, and tons of accessories. the owner was really cool. check them out

    Appreciate the thoughts, some great footage. I too, spent months and months and maybe a year researching options, and production is underway for our X1. Pickup just in time for upland season, we'll head down with the dog for the road trip. Second dog coming home shortly after that. Going to be cozy up there!
    I'm also in a half ton with oversized tires - 33's on a Tundra. What kind of mpg hit did you notice after install? Considering any rear suspension upgrade?

    • @TRUTHproJects
      @TRUTHproJects  Год назад +2

      I've had upgraded suspension already installed before the camper was put on. I went with a heavier leaf pack. I have no squat with my truck fully loaded, so that's nice.
      As far as MPG, I saw a small hit on fuel consumption. Just 1 MPG lower with the camper on vs off.

    Nice review. I have the same truck with the smaller ecoboost. It sounds like you use your truck as a daily driver as do I. Can you comment about how your MPG changed after installing the camper. I do alot of highway driving and the impact on MPG is a concern as I would keep the camper on all the time. Thanks

    • @TRUTHproJects
      @TRUTHproJects  Год назад +1

      I'd say I lost a little bit of efficiency due to the wind resistance. Maybe 0.5 MPG. I average my truck at about 16.5 MPG now. That's a mix of city and highway.

    Well done. I’ve researched every similar product on the market, foreign & domestic. I’d rather American (even over Australia & S. Africa). Just me. I live in Montana, so Oregon is just a day trip away. I’ll be picking up a P⚡️N this summer. Don’t have a girl, don’t have a dog, my cat just passed away, and I can pick up a hat & a Rockstar while I’m in Oregon. 🤣

    My X1 (Jeep Gladiator) Jordon, is PITA to latch up, the mattress is just too thick. The Exped pump I got with it from SP is great for filling the mattress, not so good for vacuuming out the air. I see no great way to hook up the discharge side of the pup to the mattress. Bottom line is the camper just doesn't supply enough room for the mattress. One more inch of space would have been worth the increased profile size. Forget about leaving a blanket on it, no way. You made closing yours seem easy, must have removed the air in advance...

    No one seems to mention the weight/ truck load limits. With 350lbs. and all the gear we tend to carry, It would be nice to get some capacity numbers. I have a 2015 Tundra with an Ironman4x4 suspension. I opted for the medium duty rear leaf pack of 0-440lbs. I have an ARE camper shell/Rhino Rack Pioneer platform and Ironman Delta awning. All that brings me in at 340lbs and giving some padding for gear.
    I'd like to know if anyone is adding leafs/air bags or ??

    • @TRUTHproJects
      @TRUTHproJects  Год назад +2

      I have an upgraded rear leaf pack from Deaver. Specifically, it's the L84HD, which is rated at 500+ pounds of additional bed weight (beyond payload). This setup allows me to run a full load with no squat and still have an amazing offroad ride. Hope that helps.

    • @TRUTHproJects
      @TRUTHproJects  Год назад +1

      I did look at them. They are impressive and very high quality but ultimately much heavier and almost too much for my taste. I wanted something simple and light which is why I landed on this one.

      @@TRUTHproJects What does the SuperPacific X1 weigh? I cannot find that stat. I know what the weight is of the ACCC and subtracting the weight of the tailgate for the true base weight. I am trying to decide on which one I want for my Gladiator Rubicon. The base price for both are about the same, but there are the added-on costs with the ACCC make them just a tad bit more expensive, but not much. I like the idea of a sealed door with regards to dust and the bug net for the rear door. Where I go, from Alaska to the Florida Everglades mosquitos, gnats and biting flies are an issue. How is the dust with the tailgate system and is there a fix for bugs with regards to the rear entry and the windows on the lower camper body?

    • @TRUTHproJects
      @TRUTHproJects  Год назад +1

      350 pounds on the base weight. Sealing the tailgate depends a lot on your vehicle. I can say that dust will get inside but I've managed to seal the tailgate fairly well so it's minimal.
