    in really bad weather can you sleep in the bed/truck rather than the tent?
    trying to make my mind up between Tundra/Tacoma with super pacific as that's like 14k, or a truck cap + roof top tent at about 10k, or a Jeep Wrangler 4dr with the rear seats deleted / goose gear sleeping platform for inside sleeping, with roof top tent... But that must be about 10k again for all the stuff... What you reckon? :D

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  9 месяцев назад +1

      Since I've had so many different builds, I'd rather have the 4k in fuel to travel. I'd get an RTT and cap... but that's my 2 cents. The only difference is the pass-through. I had a build-out with that goose gear system, so it was necessary. I don't own this truck anymore. I reverted to an 80 series and will be getting an RTT...

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 года назад

      It was a contender until I realized it’s more money for not much I needed. Plus the fuel economy is terrible off the lot. I’d suggest a 2500 diesel if you need a 3/4 ton

    5:45 I assume that tells you solar power generated? Curious what kind of wattage it is putting out since I noticed the panel was covered. A small amount of shade can dramatically cut solar power. Beautiful, top notch build!

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 года назад

      30 amp max, but no issues with the solar panel because it has special shade cells that divert the power. its quite efficient

  • @dawgrules1
    @dawgrules1 27 дней назад +1

    Do you operate the Joolca from that position ? I have an X1 on my Taco and was a bit concerned as to how the bed panel dealt with the heat, Option being a swing out like a TV mount

    Wow!! One of the best builds ever, from exterior to interior!! Bravo!! Couple questions: where do you mount your spare with the motorcycle at the back, which begs to ask, if you installed a dual swing away with a tire mount, could that motorcycle mount be made to work? What is your interior toilet choice? And, finally, is there an insulation layer for the super Pacific lke the ones that AT Overland has, and can a rack be placed on top of the wedge to hold some white water boats that would not have to be removed upon opening?

    • @RoamingLost
      @RoamingLost  3 года назад +2

      wow thanks man! So my spare fits a 35 deflated in the original location under the bed! it does stick down a bit but much better than a swing out which i wouldnt be able to use with the moto carrier. there isnt anything on the market for a swing out moto carrier / tire combo. I
      I have a reliance toilet. just one of those bag type ones. no insulation unfortunately. but im sure you can get crafty.

  • @FreedomToRoam86
