Tipper you truly inspire me to be kinder and see the small joys in life! I hope you had a great time with friends. Love the homemade gift idea. It’s sooo sweet and heartfelt. Best wishes to you and the family for 2023 🎉
Thank you so much!! 😀
Friends who meet up every year, awesome treasure!!
My grandmother taught me how to make yogurt in the 1970s. She was born in 1887. I treasure the recipe card she wrote out and I have shared copies with my cousins. Your video brought back great memories.
My friend and neighbor’s husband is from Turkey and makes homemade yogurt and after eating it , l can’t eat store bought . I used to buy the yogurt full of the syrupy sweet fruit . Now l just drizzle honey on it and walnuts. It’s so delicious.
Tipper, you should do a quick video showing us the gifts they made also so we can see them. Also would love to see a compilation of the pics y’all have taken thru the years. I love a good story. 👩🌾♥️
🎉Happy 2023🎉have fun with your friends 🎉
I had never even thought you could make this at home, what a great idea!🥰. It looks delicious!
😀
Thank you Tipper for the recipe. I have never thought about making yogurt. This afternoon I paid $1.69 for a 6 oz container. Making your own would definitely save money. I will have to try half a batch sometime. Meeting with girl friends is so nice. I have two cousins from out of town that visit with me for four days about every three months to just shop at yard sales, cook our favorite meals, and spend half the night reminiscing about growing up together. It makes for great memories.
Looks like a fun group of girlfriends. I’m sure there’s lots of laughter and good times making memories. Thanks for the recipe for yogurt. I did not like yogurt when I was younger but I do enjoy it now, so I think I could make this recipe like you do.
Thank you Rhonda! They are great friends 😀
I make yogurt in my InstantPot. So easy. After swirling in the sink of cold water (takes about 4 minutes} it goes back in the pot in the low setting with the starter for about 8 hours. Then into the refrigerator until the next morning when I dip it into cheesecloth lined strainers and turn it into Greek yogurt. I get 3 qts. that way. Big savings.
Thank you so much for your recipe. Doesnt look as hard as I thought. I love yogurt with sugar & vanilla. I add peaches or granola. So good! I know your friends enjoyed it. 💖
Thank you Tipper! I keep putting off trying to make yogurt in my instant pot. This looks so simple and the finished product looks creamy and delicious.
Thank you I agree I never trusted myself making yogurt but I try
Thank you for watching 😀
That yogurt looks like a perfect texture.
What a lovely tradition with your friends. Thank you for sharing Tipper.
Glad you enjoyed it 😀
I make yogurt in my instant pot . It is so much better than store bought .
I remember my mom making yogurt in a yogurt maker that sat on the counter and plugged in the 1970s. It made 6 individual serving size containers. Back then grocery stores issued trading stamps, and I expect that’s where the maker came from. Mom saved the stamps up in books and exchanged them once full for a lot of household items. We eat a lot of yogurt today, so I think we’ll give this a try and get back into making it.
Love those memories 😀
Green stamps. I licked plenty of those as a child. Sweet memories.
That’s the first for me. I’ve never seen anyone make yogurt before thank you. I like raspberries in my yogurt.
Fascinating!
I have lots of wooden spoons like that . My daddy loved to sit on the porch and whittle. I have all sizes. That yogurt looks yum yum.
Love it
Miss Tipper, you're still making me hungry, have a good day.
😀 Hope you've had a good day!
I love the photo! It's almost magical the way yogurt comes together! And it's sooo good and good for us! Thank you Tipper! I've never seen yogurt made before! You make everything look easy and delish! I hope you had a great time with your friends! Happy New Year!
You are so welcome!
I've been making yogurt for years, starting back when I lived in Colorado and used a light bulb in a cardboard box to create to warm place for the culture to grow. You're right - it's so easy and good!
My wife used to make it and wrap the pot with a blanket and placed it on a heating pad set on low, overnight. Now she uses the Instapot. She also strains a portion of it through cheesecloth to make Greek yogurt and Lebanese yogurt.
Love this, Tipper!🥰
Glad you liked it!!
Thank you Tipper 😊
Yum 😋
I'm gonna try it!

I’ve always wanted to try my own yogurt. You’ve inspired me to actually try it. Thank you and Happy New Year.🕊
Very nice.
I make yogurt by heating the milk in a double boiler. I used to have an electric Dannon Yogurt Maker which made six or eight individual cups of yogurt and was a huge waste of space. The best thing about it was the spoon thermometer, which I still have, that it came with which says "Add Starter" when the milk temperature cools enough. My husband had the idea to keep the temperature steady while it yogged by putting it in a thermos. Seems like a no-brainer but along with the other complicating supplies I had "The Yogurt Book" which went into the history of yogurt yogging in yak bladders while Arabs rode camels across the desert or something (details may be off.) I was really worried about where to put my yogurt out of a draft and how many blankets I should wrap it it in.
Turns out, using our old thermally insulated coffee carafe worked amazing and that is what I use to this day. When it's done I switch it to a normal container.
That's a wonderful way to do it 😀
Thank you so much for your yogurt recipe. Glad you will be enjoying time with friends.

Thank you 😀
I've always thought making yogurt was a lot more complicated. Looks easy enough and I know my daughter would love to have this recipe. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
I make yogurt like this, then I drain it through a cheese cloth lined colander that sits over a pot, so that the yogurt will be like Greek yogurt which we love. 😊
Thanks for that tip 😀
Thank you, great video
You are welcome!
YUM.
Thanks for sharing this recipe. I'm looking forward to making it for my grandbabies. The spoon is a treasure!!! Always wonderful content from you and the girls. Thanks again for your time and effort. You ladies are such gems

One great video. Thank you so much.💙
Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
Tipper like you I used to make yogurt all the time for myself. After getting married I just got away from making my own. You have inspired me to start making my own yogurt once again. I agree the taste and texture of the homemade is so good.
I love it! I’m excited to try this ms. Tipper…..your always inspiring me. 💋✝️🕊hope you have a blessed new year.
Thank you!!
So sweet of you to make them yogurt.
Thank you Linda 😀
I saw a simple recipe for yogurt years ago, which is very similar to yours. Store bought yogurt is expensive and we make it by the gallon. I leave ours plain because my husband likes to put preserves in his. It is the best yogurt.
It is so good 😀
Tipper,
Such a perfect example of KINDNESS. The SIMPLE thing in life always mean so much more. Love this video.

Tipper I made some with Maple Syrup here !!! That takes the place of vanilla and sugar both !!! I made the syrup myself tapping the 3 trees for it and boiling it down !!!
I found some sugar-free maple syrup (not as good as yours), and I added it to homemade yogurt for my husband because he’s diabetic. Delicious flavor!
I need to try that 😀
I do enjoy your videos. Especially this one.
I love yogurt. Its really good
Thank you so much 🤗
