    My wife had a min pin when we got married. I had never owned a dog before in my life so I was hesitant. After spending 5 minutes with him he jumped in my lap and he has been at my side every day for 4 years since. He's my buddy and a true joy on my life. He makes dark days better, and great days amazing.
    He's true to his breed characteristics and is a very stubborn and independent 7 year old.
    I'll own min pins until the day I die. They are a gift to the families that own them.

    Watching this video with a smile on my face bc my min pin is everything you describe and more... He wants to be kissed, hugged, and cuddled with 24/7. Wants to be next to me every min. I go to the bathroom he goes too. But he is also very independent and sociable. Loves people, especially little kids. I take him places and everyone falls in love with him. I fly with him and he just sits quietly. You wouldn't even know he is there❤

    The love of my life was a Miniature Pinscher. I had gotten her from a breeder when I was 11 years old. She was a gift from my parents. At the time, she was 4 months old. I had her for 17 years and a few months. I lost her the day after Christmas two years ago and I miss her all the time. She was my best friend. I loved her with all my heart (and still do)!

    My daughter has a Min Pin but never spent time with him. I didn’t like him at all, he had bad manners (getting into the garbage, 1 & 2 in the house, not listening) he annoyed me but he was crazy about me. I started taking him on walks, beach, trails, downtown and he won my heart. His behavior improved dramatically-that was the problem all along -he just needed attention and lots of loving! I’m now his official Dad and I couldn’t love him more if I tried! ❤️❤️❤️ he is such a blessing and he never gave up on me!

    Nice video. I found a mini pinscher running into traffic here in Philly a couple months ago and decided to take him home with me, deflea him and find him a good home. Well, he's the best dog I've ever had and I fell in love, so now we're forever partners. I can tell whoever had him abused him so he gets a lot of TLC, but I've had to be very firm and consistent with the training. He pretty much came housebroken, but he's fearless and has a tendency to run away if he scoots out the door because he loves to chase other dogs and cars. Today he jumped out the damn car window through a small opening while we were at a light so he could chase a terrier and smell its butt. But he's great with kids and I've never seen him snap or bite anyone. He's good with the cats but is very possessive of me and my affection and will bully the cat off of my lap so he can have me all to himself. He's also greedy with his toys. He's definitely the most affectionate, sweet dog I've ever had and he comes everywhere with me and even sleeps under the covers in the bed. I love my Tito, my lil German guy with a Mexican name. Dogs truly pick their owners, because I'm also a domestic abuse survivor and needed him probably as much as he needed me.

    We had a min pin as a family pet. He passed away at 13 years old, 2 years ago due to liver cancer. He was the best and sweetest dog. We were lucky with him cause he was the calmest dog and would sleep all day, everyday. He was stubborn at times, but overall a good dog. We recently got another min pin puppy. He will be a year old in January. He is so different compared to our other min pin we had before. When we first brought him home, he was so hyper, jumping on everyone and just an energizer bunny that wouldn’t turn off. We took him to obedience training and been training him for 3-4 months now. He is more calm and sleeps most of the day. He loves playing with other dogs, and loves squeaky toys! He also likes to lay by the heat vent underneath the blanket , loves to burrow underneath his blankets too. He thinks he is a big tough boy. He is very stubborn but also very smart. So first time owners of this particular breed maybe should rethink of getting a min pin. This breed is very high strung, very active and needs a lot of physical and mental stimulation for them to be happy. So if you work full time and putting them in a crate for 4-8 hours a day, (which you shouldn’t have any dog be in a crate for long periods of time anyway) isn’t going to work. That’s when you get the unwanted behavioral issues. As far as training goes, the owner needs to be confident, consistent, and make sure your min pin knows your the boss, or this breed will take advantage. Min pins aren’t for everyone. If your looking for a lap dog, this breed wouldn’t be for you. yes, they do like to cuddle, but only on their terms. Every min pin has their own unique personality. This breed is big dog in a tiny body with huge personality which make them great companions.

    I don't usually comment but I just had to share my story with my little boy Mickey, so named because he has very large ears. He was originally my sister's dog, who was 16 at the time, but she quickly grew tired of him and I took over his care and training when I was around 10. It's been thirteen years since then, and I adore him (this is saying a lot since I am very much a cat person). He knows how to sit, lay down, jump, dance, and roll over. He will follow me around the house, sit at my feet when I'm at the dining table, and wait outside the bathroom door for me. The part about them covering themselves in blankets is very much true, and I always wonder how he manages to breath when he sleeps under the covers with me but I love it nonetheless. He's like a cuddle buddy who is always there for me. The part about not liking being picked up is partially true. He will nip and bite anyone he isn't familiar with who tires, but often begs for me or my other family members to be picked up. He hardly ever barks unless someone is at the door. He is almost entirely blind now and can't dance or jump much anymore, due to his old age, but I love him regardless. If you're looking for a very affectionate, alert, smart, easily groomed, small, loyal dog, then a Miniature Pinscher is definitely a good fit for you.

I sadly lost my best friend yesterday 😞 He was super affectionate, really cuddly, really great with children and set me on a schedule to wake up and workout since he was active. Just adopted a morbidly obese 8yo min pin that an older couple gave back to the shelter after 10 months of overfeeding because he didn't like their grandchildren. It's really hard to feed him anything now because he's so unhealthy and used to human food that every dog food makes him throw up at least a little bit. I wish they'd looked into the breed a little bit more before taking him on... He's 18 pounds and even normal breathing is difficult for him. He's very shy and always on high alert but incredibly loving and protective once he gets to know you. We also discovered that he hates anything even remotely violent happening to his owners, even if it's playful. He'll even growl and snap at you if you pretend to hit yourself, so I know he really cares about keeping us safe. Love this dog.

But he is so cuddly and adorable and so much fun. And a very fast learner. Very smart. I Was out with my Min pin About 2 hours ago. All the sudden, i see her bolt towards something about 30 yards from where i was. I thought it was just another bird she usually chases around. So i didnt think much of it but i was wrong. She ran so fast she got about 100 yards out and i heard the cry of bloody murder. Thinking the worst i ran as fast as i could trying to catch up to her. once i finally got close enough to see what was going on (it was dark) i noticed she was trying to size up 3 coyotes surrounding her.. When the yotes saw me running towards them they scrammed along with my min pin close at there tails trying to take a chunk out of their tails! No matter how i loud i called her she kept chasing them full steam ahead.. i was finally able to grab here while the yotes being about 15 yards ahead. no joke. Not a bone in her body was afraid or shaking. She was calm like she was about to own these 3 coyotes. Im thankfull shes ok. The last thing i want is my min pin getting hurt. This Min pin is fearless and tough as nails. Always playing with the big dogs and leading the small ones. These Min pins are very loyal dogs and will try to protect you from just about anything(take it from me).

    I love my minpins. We have had four. First was Ellie May. Mean as the devil, tough as nails! Lived to 17.
    Then we got Gunner (Sharpshooter) and Gwendolyn. Gwenny was such a little baby. So sweet but full of big spirit. The two of them always broke into the garden and stole vegetables. She sadly had a stroke and passed away very young. We all were heartbroken.
    Now that Gunner is getting older, we got Gracie. She is keeping Gunner young. Her favorite thing is to chase!
    Make sure to check your blankets before sitting/lying down, because there is probably a min pin in it!

    They are wonderful companion dogs. I have a min-pin/papillon and she brings the best of both breeds to her personality. Her coat is short white and peach, with accented tuffs and has the papillon stripe up her nose. She is bossy, smart, and independent but also loves being carried around and cuddled after a long day. I treat her like a working dog when we go out and her social skills are great with big and small dogs. I plan on training her in agility. Thanks for making a video about this wonderful breed.

I ca hee and she will ever so often listen to me. Lol most breeds have a few sassy ones and then they have the ones that want love. And it's great seeing them both.

      My min pin is definitely a cuddle bug. She does prefer to be my magnet dog but she is so gentle with our entire family. I just love this breed and their quirky personality. She's such a good dog in general. I never thought I'd have a small dog but she has definitely changed my mind. I like how they think they're bigger than they are. She's chased off big deers out of our yard to protect us. It's funny to watch her act all tough even though she's such a big baby.

    I have a min-pin 10 years now. I chose this breed at first cuz I liked their look and size but turned out to be the ideal breed for me. She is such a sassy, bossy, cuddly, smart, loving little devil and I love her SO much. She is great with humans but a bit naughty with most dogs, but that's because I didn't socialize her enough when she was little. Her favorite thing to do is being covered up with a blanket and have belly rubs. Oh, and she loves eating, she could eat all day if she could

    Hey tbere young ladys! Really luved the video. Im disabled and getting better. Once im able to care for a lil girl doggy. Its a min pin. I was in a situation after a nursing home stay. I had to live/ rent a couch in a nice home. Lil Gracie, sweetest 15yr old female minnie. She gave me cuddles and luvzz unconditionally. She passed in her 16th year. But someday, my dream is to have a lil puppy of my own. 2 yrs have passed and my reasearch is abundant and my resolve is only strengthened by that. I started to save. 10 a month for my sweety girl. It will take time but, spoil her i will. I think i love min pins as much as you do. My health will improve while raising her. Thank you. THANK you for this video.

    I have one that my ghetto neighbor let run loose and almost killed by cars many times. I keep him now with my deaf pitbull. This lil min pin is hilarious. I had to keep a leash on him to catch him since he loved being out. He loves me a little more and now sleeps w me. He pushes his nose and cuddles under my blanket all night. He sleeps on top of my pitbull for naps. He leaps like a reindeer and loves to catch flies and other bugs. I catch him all the time. Hope he likes living here with Leia and I.

      Pinscher is exclusively American doberman. The European version (the original) is simply the Doberman.

    • @brittakriep2938
      @brittakriep2938 4 года назад

      Erika SCWTA : Unsinn!!! Absolute nonsense! In Germany we have the Zwerg(dwarf)pinscher which is in this video called miniature pinscher. Then there is the Deutscher Pinscher (middle size) and the Dobermann , which was up to 1949 called Dobermann Pinscher. In the same breeders club is also the Zwergschnauzer, Mittelschnauzer and the Riesen(giant)schnauzer. In 1949 the Dobermann breeders leaved( or left?) the Pinscher und Schnauzerclub and formed their own club.

    • @brittakriep2938
      @brittakriep2938 4 года назад

      Erika SCWTA : Forgotten: Louis Dobermann, the creator of the Dobermann dog was a german tax collector who wanted a good protection dog, sometimes you also can read, that this man also was a nightwatchman, but i do not know, if this last fact is true.

    Our 2 love blankets so much. As soon as they see me put one on me they both come running & push their way under the blanket. We have a 2 yr old black & tan (hazel) & a 7 month old one that's brown & tan (Oakley). They are wild, crazy, lovable, protective & so loyal. I will never get another dog bc these 2 are like adding 2 more kids to our family but we love it so much. You can never be sad if they are around bc they will do something goofy. I've owned so many different breeds & these girls are my favorite! They stole our hearts. Worse thing about them is training. They are very stubborn but pick up things fast. We are having issues with potty training the 7 month old. She hates going outside but little by little shes starting to like it.
