I also thought it meant ALL phones. plus another guy asks, and GOM dude says to use 'unofficial' but no other indications of where to get it bc I sure cant find it, esp not on the Lineage site. this GOM dude takes for granted ppl's experience and come here for guidance. he just confuses ppl that are trying to learn. #chumpion

Unofficial doesn't mean it is insecure or unstable. Unofficial simply means the rom is not patched by official team members , which is usually done by devs who want to make their own flavor or want to join the main team.
Sometimes unofficial builds are equal or more stable and featurefull than official ones.

While people download from untrusted places and brick their devices is also common. That's why everyone thinks unofficial ROMs is not safe !!
Correct. Almost a decade ago when I started flashing ROMs on 1+1. I used to think Official means it's approved and developed by the mobile manufacturer only😅😂

I last used a custom ROM in 2016 I guess. I started using custom ROMs in 2010, when I had a Sony W8. My last try was when I brunched Cyanogenmod Lollipop for my Taoshan (Xperia L). It was my first and last try. Yes, it's good to see where Lineage OS (formerly CyanogenMod) is now, after being the official OS provider for OnePlus for a couple of generations.
I remember flashing ROMs on my old Xperia X8 back in the day I loved coming in from work and downloading ROMs Gingerbread then Jellybean & Ice-cream amazing days then I got a new Samsung & bricked it first day I couldn't believe it untill I found Odin & just reflashed it I thought all this was dead but now I no it's not I'm gonna buy myself a nice Xiaomi handset from eBay & start flashing again I love all this tech stuff lineage os 20 looks fkn great 😃

I have updated to linageo s21, Xiaomi 5plas. I have a question why telegram x can't jump to the verification code interface when entering the mobile phone number. The xda developer said it was a VPN problem, but the web page can log in. The app doesn't work. This problem exists in apks in European countries. How can I solve it?
Lineage OS devices will not get all the android 14 pixel exclusive features like Ai wallpapers and others. Maybe through a 3rd party app but not out of the box. Also the unlimited storage in google photos was only Pixel 1/2/3 exclusive so not even the newer pixel devices have that.
Edit - If this rom has unlimited storage moded into it then google will recognise it as a google pixel 2/3 device.

There are obvious bugs that have NEVER been fixed! This has been reported by many people!
1. camera does not work, only black screen.
2. Camera LED. lights don't work.
3. Rooting does not work in lineageOS so you must first install original factory rom before you can install anything else.
4. wifi does not work as it should. Slow wifi.
I tried an android 7 build and everything worked!
but youtube and other apps only work with android 8 and newer!

well the only con I can think of is maybe unlocking the bootloader which does void warenty in SOME brands, like Motorola.

I have a Moto X Style in my drawer I use as a backup that runs Lineage os 14.1 still. Still works alright, and I can't go back to the stock ROM even if I wanted to cause Motorola removed the page where you could download the factory images lol

Hello. Did you know that Android 14 and later only has 64bit support? Which means that older tablets and mobile phones with 32-bit CPU processors cannot run Android 14 or later.
On 32bit devices, there are many apps and games that you cannot use.
so older 32bit devices will have problems in the future

There isn't any Custom ROMs since 1+ 9 because OPPO doesn't allow it.

I have downloaded this rom and installed on my redmi note 10 pro & it works just fine but just few bugs like bluetooth connection not wokring properly there is delay and lag. I am waiting for an offcial rom. The kernel Su is not wokring in this, is there a chance we will get an andriod update in future? Thank you.

Yeah sure
Depends on which model phone you install LineageOS onto. If it's a Pixel, then you can reinstall GCam along with GCam Services Provider, disable the internet permissions and the camera works as it did before.
Other models, such as Sony Xperia aren't as simple.
About fast charging, I've seen it ported across to LineageOS for some models such as Samsung Galaxy S10, but I don't know if all officially supported models retain that feature. A good place to check is XDA forums and read through the posts there.

i am using lineage os 20 . my device is sony xperia xz3 and its having issues like whenever some one call me it aumotically ends. is it network issue or rom issue . i think i should go for lineage os 21

Assuming you're using the official version, you might have a VoLTE issue. There should be a custom menu in the settings for that particular model called Xperia Parts where the developer has collected various modem firmware depending on which country and telephone provider. Maybe changing that setting to one which matches your country and/or provider will get VoLTE working (assuming that is the problem in the first place)
