I wonder how many of world renowned chefs can chop veggies so finely by their hands. This is a skill that Malayali women from the earlier generations have mastered 👏👌

In Jaffna I learnt from my grandma and I can chop using may hands it’s quick, easy and can slice thin but I try not to do it as it will leave marks on the thump finger 😌

I have seen most Kerala (a state in India) people do use their fingers as cutting board and cut vegetables so thin and so small almost like size of the grain of sand - so effortlessly!!!

Looks so easy and good...I've seen my mom do this DAILY to feed three meals to a family that just thinks it's normal.Today I do it with a host of appliances and gadgets and help..its still backbreaking duty if you decide its your lot to nurture your family from scratch
