Swearing is a changing game. I teach 2nd grade (7 year olds). They think shut up, crap, and stupid are vile swears. When I taught 3rd grade, I literally sat down with a child to make "not at school" list because his family was ok with swearing at home. He memorized the list, then we destroyed it. As the year went by, I would just say, "Add that to the list," if he found a new word.
It's hilarious to me that Swedish children would be swearing at school.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are still extremely popular games. They are based on real-world maps, the driving times are condensed, and sleep time works like minedcraft sleep does except you literally crash as your eyelids droop if you dont park up to sleep. There are 2 live radio stations, one called Simulator Radio, the other called Truck Sim FM, which anyone can tune into and send song requests to listen to and these have ads for multiplayer convoys!. I play Farming Simulator and have have the Tobii Eye tracker to look left/right without taking my hands off the steering wheel, if I had 2 extra monitors they would be my side windows on the truck. I have a joy stick because there arent enough keys on the keyboard. I have ETS2 and have had it for years, it's a lot of fun delivering cargo and trying not to damage it.

Also, Iskall ever since Season 7 has missed SUBSTANTIAL periods of time, and nobody got a heads up. Plenty of other Hermits actually care about their viewers and let them know up front that they’re taking a break, or will miss a stream, or videos will be slow for a little while. Shit like that takes 5 mins to convey. Anything updates that Iskall would eventually give, would be buried in a 6hr Vault Hunters stream. @@josephcraig8097 This! I remember when Mumbo took a break. He was completely sick of YT but still took the time to inform his viewers he won't be posting for a while. And his comment section during that gap? Mainly people being supportive and saying they miss his videos but that he shouldn't pressure himself.
Meanwhile iskall has stopped posting multiple times now and not once has he bothered informing his viewers. The result? People constantly asking what happened, where he disappeared and if he has plans to continue the series with comments looking more and more frustrated every time it happened.
Stress takes breaks pretty much at the same time as iskall does and yet she always makes a post about it and the fanbase is much more underatanding as a result.
Iskall doesn't owe anyone videos and he has every right to abruptly stop a series if he doesn't enjoy it anymore. He, however, doesn't get to complain about his fanbase having questions when he has continually refused to comunicate with them. The creator dictates (to an extent) how the fanbase will behave and right now iskall is failing at that aspect of his job.

facts! nobody is born with a talent. people have things they have some kind of affinity for that they pick up easier, but if that aligns with their passion is a different thing.
I never had the affinity to draw. for me it was more learning and hard work than it was for a lot of people I crossed paths with in different art communities. even seeing people years younger than me and way less years of practice posting masterpieces compared to my silly little doodles didn't deter me. there is still a lot I can't draw well, let alone draw at all and work life kept me so busy and exhausted I only drew maybe 3 things a year for the last 4-6 years. which stagnated any progress, but I think my drawing skills are decently good. example: my pfp is a relatively recent doodle.
I mean if I was able to get that far in 17ish years with a lot of breaks in between, then what stops others from learning the skills for what they're passionate about, even if they don't have an affinity for it?

On Impulse and Skizz not getting why driving a semi-truck or for me personally, a bus (yes a bus for public transport), in a game that simulates stuff:
As kids we all grow up and have something we find verry cool, im talking when you are 5-12 years old. This can go from busses to semi-trucks, firefighters, policemen, big ships, airplanes, trains, what not. Sometimes it is a kind of thing where one of your parents has a cool job you want to do later. I remember back when i was verry young i loved old clocks because my grandparents had some clocks that for one example dated back to 1901 or so. (It never worked correctly, but i was facinated by it) My other grandparents had an apartment at the coast (I Live in Belgium, important note) where we would go often in vacations or weekends, and they have there the longest tramline in the world and to this day I love trams but I am verry likely never ever going to drive one, allbiet it be a cool thing. Then I turned 12 and got to middle school and i took public transport there and back. The line was operated by one depot, that only served 2 lines and had only something like 15ish drivers employed, and as it happend, the busses were verry full each day, but verry soon I learned there is usually some space open at the front door, next to where the driver sits.
    I get sidetracked from here-
And a couple of days later because of some other people who were older and been bussing longer, I got to know all the drivers. And I was kind of curious about the things they did while operating a bus. To that point where I got to know some of the qircks of individual busses. I remember there was this one bus that was a couple of years older than the others, and to open it's back doors you had to manually activate this brake where as with the other busses that happend automatically as you opend its doors, but if you waited to long after the bus had come to a stop (like 5 seconds or something), the bracke wouldn't activate. As new drivers came in and drove that bus for the first times, they would struggle with those doors, but then when I got to tell them that brake wouldn't activate anymore. I comes a thing I observed this one driver doing one time: He hadn't activated the brake (out of habbit from the other busses, probably) and the doors wouldn't open, so he just gave some gas, and the bus rolled slightly forwards, where he was able to activate those brakes and open the doors. So I told that new driver the trick i saw and ofcorse they be sketchy doing something 14y/o kid says, while its their job. But the driver did and it worked and I remember when in a bit of traffic that same driver practicing to activate that brake. But apart from that, I got to know nearly every bus driver that worked that depot, even being suprised when i got on and a teacher/safety coordinator who worked AT my school was behind the steering wheel. I knew from other drivers he worked there on occasion, but still that was a bit of a suprise.
Now 10 years on from my first trip with those busses, I'm certain that some time during my life, I'll be working there as a bus driver in that depot at some point in my life, or even as my full time job, depending on collage results. (Even a driver with something like 37 or so years experience, has been saying i should go for my bus licence and become a bus driver, and honestly, there is a lot of demand for bus drivers where i live)
    - To here. I totaly got sidetracked, whoops!
But as a 12 year old kid I really wanted to drive busses, so at first I improvised, playing an older Pixar Cars game that had an open world to drive in and I just drove as mcqueen pretending i drove a bus on the route i rode to school. Then a Bus simulator came out for ps4, had realistic busses and had the busses i had ridden on, so i got that and sadly, those 2 (there was a sequel) ended up way to buggy, but those games had me down for hours on end. Those simulators that is about driving trains or busses or Semi-trucks, are a means for people to go and get a taste of what they dreamt of as a kid, even if they are an IT big head who makes tonnes of money, or just a person who cleans toilets for a living. On train games, with some brand new developpers, headed by people who have actual hand on experiences, it is even heading into a space where they are making a game that tries to simulate old designs of locomotives that are never going to run again or even didn't get preserverved but srapped all together. It a way to experience those things even if you are not quallified to do so, are to young, or even if you want to do geek out about busses or trains or whatever, even if it is your day job.

Yeah as a Swedish speaker, I was immediately starting to suspect something was up when Iskall was using the British English version of chips/crisps, despite them being called chips here too 😂 he is such a troll!

I wish Rendog was there for the chips debacle. In South Africa crisps are chips and fries are also chips. We do sometimes refer to crisps as Simba chips.

I'm really enjoying watching the current season of Vault Hunters, especially the newer players who are learning the ropes. I love hearing the excitement in Iskall's voice when he tries to explain his latest idea to everyone, even in the middle of a dangerous vault run. This podcast has really tipped the scale and I'm going to have to play it myself!

Season 8 or 9 experienced such impactful decisions moving forward. The loss of TFC from the server created a transformational impact for the entire community. His death triggered several members' realization of what it meant to lose a fellow gamer/Hermit. When Mumbo Jumbo followed with his decision to take a few months off from the game due to the "pressure". Everyone took a step back in their playstyle/life behaviors/priorities. Grief has a different effect on everyone.

Regarding the vibe: Just reminded me of Colin and Samir’s interview of MatPat and Stephanie. In the back half of the video, Stephanie references “the opposite of happiness is interestingness”, and they go on to discuss the latest “generation of RUclips”, which shares a lot of the same vibe you all have been discussing regarding the trajectory of Season 10. Balance is important, and you don’t need to kill yourselves to be successful. I just wanted to thank you for how open you have all been about this conversation.

As long as they're not directing them at people or being mean I allow my kids to cuss, they stub their toe before I allowed them and their first instinct is to cuss and we don't even do that, I make noises when I hurt myself so I know they didn't learn it from me 😂 but if that's what they want to do I'll allow it, it's just language, I wouldn't allow them to hurl regular words at people so why stop them from using certain ones just because some people find them inappropriate
