Right now, I'm in a mix of if it would be a good thing for him to join Hermitcraft, because he was kindof "bullied" by Grian when he was on Timmy's server in the crossover. But Timmy's energy would be invaluable to Hermitcraft. But then there's also the life series where he for the most part lives in piece from Grian Further edits: I forgot Timmy teamet up with Grian in Limited Life. What a great dinamic!

I find it interesting that Jimmy often plays the "fool" so to speak. Like, he'll get pranks pulled on him and get made fun of, but he's always the best sport about it. Not many people could do that.
I love how Jimmy double checks that his video was PG. He might not have meant it this way, but I felt like it was a nice acknowledgement that he has a younger audience that he cares about.

I just want to emphasize how good Jimmy is at this job. Like, on a professional level, Jimmy is an all-around excellent content creator. He has really good creative/comedic instincts, he's (despite popular jokes lol) very quick on the uptake, he's willing to and really good at playing the butt of the joke, and as Grian conceded in the escape rooms episode from about a year back, he has very good work ethic. He runs his community really well, his production value is always really high, and he's constantly engaging with his community in small and large ways. Jimmy is just a really good content creator.
Listening to Jimmy say that one event that he didn't even want to go to sparked everything that lead up to his success reminds me of something my late son said. It was this: "Every good thing that has ever happened to me, happened when I said "yes" when I really wanted to say "no.'"
I found Jimmy through 3rd Life like many others here. I actually started getting peeved at Grian and Joel at “bullying” him for a while, until I realized that Jimmy was loving it and egging it on and encouraging them to do stuff like that. I watched his videos and saw he was grinning ear to ear when it was happening. I’m rooting for him to win a Life series 😉 I love his interactions with his followers and fans and doing video reacts.

I really like Jimmy, somebody else in the comments already said this but Jimmy made his channel really all about his fans and I think that is the real reason he soared in subscribers. He just did the thing he was already doing but he hit a niche in the current (then) climate of the internet which was Barbie. But because Jimmy is always so much about his fans and the people who support him, it really truly worked. I don't think he should feel like he cheated the system in some way.
I was so happy to hear that Jimmy was going to be on this week. I found Jimmy around the time that I was rif'd from my job and went back to school. He was on X Life with Joel and Scott. The first episode I remember watching was that he was so excited to get a ship built by Joel, aka Smallishbeans. It was a small sunken ship, but he was so grateful. I continued watching him after that, and he helped me through Covid. Being stuck at home and having that 2 hour escape was everything. I even tried Minecraft Manhunt and looked forward to Fridays to play. (I was the worst player ever!!! lol) Jimmy is such a sweet kid. Because of him/other Empires people is how I found Skizz and Impulse, and now I am here. I can't wait to hear the rest next week. I got a job now, but i still try to support him when I can.

Your perspectives of the life series and/or different smps (most recently SOS) are always my favourites because I love watching the way you interact with other members of the server and the humour you bring to every episode. Not only that but you also have a great relationship with your community whether that be on your streams through the week and how you get the viewers involved or your comment sections or your community servers, you make everyone feel welcome and I’m definitely not the usual target audience but I watch every video and stream. Impulse and Skizz are definitely right about your energy it is so uplifting! Here’s to the next million :)

I've very happily been subscribed to Jimmy's channel since 2017. I made some of my dearest friends on his subscriber server. He has cultivated such a wonderfully positive and welcoming community. I'm glad this podcast can show more of the human behind the entertainment.
I remember Skizz in one of the first or the second episodes of Limited life mentioning that he didn't even know who the 3rd Bad Boy was, he was like, is it Jimmy or Timmy or whatever ...and soon enough we see that Skizz has developed such a liking for Jimmy jiggles. I personally go with Jimithy hehe I know hes got an interesting story cause hes got that clickbaity style but also is clearly humble and had less subscribers but really professional look and tries to keep others family friendly while also leaving those parts in... an interesting style of seeming contradictions
Jimmy's channel isn't in my core watchtime (I'm a bit old compared to his regular audience, lol), but I respect his hustle and he's a delight to see in other people's videos, or reacting to animatics and such.

Hey Imp and Skizz! Just wanted to tell you thank you for giving me some chill and peace, writing this as I've watched the ep with Doc, and this one with Jimmy. Have been struggling with some things still, even after I've moved from Asia to the UK, so this is my first hello from the UK! A lot of things, new and old ones have been daunting for me, even ones that I've loved doing before or meant a lot to me... Even youtube videos and podcasts.... It probably is some weird psychology i have that a podcast is formal and scary.... But hermatcraft isn't xD. So it's good to be back here! I don't usually have autoplay, but this tv was, and it played you guys after a doc's latest episode while I was knitting (a source of frustration despite it supposed to help clam me down). Wanna say thank you for making it such a chill space to come back to... you guys are like this old friend that I'm scared of catching up with for fear of seeing how far I've been left behind... but your videos and voices are timeless, so I may not catch things as soon as they come out, but it feels like you guys are still there where I am at my growth.. I’m a Smallish Beans subscriber who was already finding the “I’m not a toy” gag hilarious, but the “Ken challenge” is what made me press the button to subscribe to Solidarity. I’ve really enjoyed being a subscriber with all the crazy posts. I can definitely imagine Jimmy on the telly.

I loved Jimmy’s story about Minevention. I learned about Jimmy from watching Nettyplays and she used to laugh hysterically telling her fans about that story. Real nostalgia hearing about the old gang I used to watch. It’s super cool seeing how far Jimmy’s come.
I'm glad you said you don't work weekends. When I left the Restaurant industry to teach, I told myself that I would maintain my Monday - Friday schedule, even if my Online Instruction went into the 7-8PM local time for my classes. The 7-8pm time slot is the latest (EST US) time that I teach, which allows for Pacific Coast students to take my course between 4-5 PM Pacific Standard Time. (Just before they have dinner)
12:10 i love this, it’s so true. it’s crazy that i met my current partner online through social vr (and a lot of friends) and we were coincidentally local. now it’s 2 years later and we’re moving in together . it’s always funny trying to explain it to offline people that the friendships you make online are just as real as irl friendships, sometimes almost more real since you spend so much time just being together and getting to know them. and just the fact that you wouldn’t have ever met those people if either of you had never picked up that specific game or hobby within the same time frame is mind boggling sometimes
I totally understand how crazy it is to connect with someone online, i found this kid around my age about 2 years ago who doesn't even speak my language but we've became good friends and I have been dreaming to go visit him but I've never traveled internationally I just keep thinking, maybe next year. I just find it fascinating.

I love this butterfly effect discussion, but I wonder how much scarier it is when you realise that terrible things can happen from just as innocuous life events. Skizz says imagine tomorrow, as if the butterfly effect is always a positive direction, but the true terror is realised when you realise it can crash down just as meaninglessly.
Skizz, even if there’s not as many minutes in your episodes as other people, we love every single second of it. I almost cry every time I hear any of you talk about how people are going to get mad at you for not working, because that’s not true. Tbh, we need time in between episodes to get fanart out. It probably is some weird psychology i have that a podcast is formal and scary.... But hermatcraft isn't xD. So it's good to be back here! I don't usually have autoplay, but this tv was, and it played you guys after a doc's latest episode while I was knitting (a source of frustration despite it supposed to help clam me down).
Wanna say thank you for making it such a chill space to come back to... you guys are like this old friend that I'm scared of catching up with for fear of seeing how far I've been left behind... but your videos and voices are timeless, so I may not catch things as soon as they come out, but it feels like you guys are still there where I am at my growth..

I’m a Smallish Beans subscriber who was already finding the “I’m not a toy” gag hilarious, but the “Ken challenge” is what made me press the button to subscribe to Solidarity. I’ve really enjoyed being a subscriber with all the crazy posts. I can definitely imagine Jimmy on the telly.

I loved Jimmy’s story about Minevention. I learned about Jimmy from watching Nettyplays and she used to laugh hysterically telling her fans about that story. Real nostalgia hearing about the old gang I used to watch. It’s super cool seeing how far Jimmy’s come.
I'm glad you said you don't work weekends. When I left the Restaurant industry to teach, I told myself that I would maintain my Monday - Friday schedule, even if my Online Instruction went into the 7-8PM local time for my classes. The 7-8pm time slot is the latest (EST US) time that I teach, which allows for Pacific Coast students to take my course between 4-5 PM Pacific Standard Time. (Just before they have dinner)

12:10 i love this, it’s so true. it’s crazy that i met my current partner online through social vr (and a lot of friends) and we were coincidentally local. now it’s 2 years later and we’re moving in together . it’s always funny trying to explain it to offline people that the friendships you make online are just as real as irl friendships, sometimes almost more real since you spend so much time just being together and getting to know them. and just the fact that you wouldn’t have ever met those people if either of you had never picked up that specific game or hobby within the same time frame is mind boggling sometimes
I totally understand how crazy it is to connect with someone online, i found this kid around my age about 2 years ago who doesn't even speak my language but we've became good friends and I have been dreaming to go visit him but I've never traveled internationally I just keep thinking, maybe next year. I just find it fascinating.

Regarding the stuff about bridges, every time I was going away with my family and were on the motorway, we would duck under bridges. We had to do something to entertain us before phones.
You were talking about the random chances and the butterfly effect of life. But I'm sure lots of people have opportunities that fade to nothing because they don't follow through, or something isn't the right fit after all. You were given opportunities and you took full advantage with hard work, courage and creativity.
the first time i knew of jimmy(through grian's vids) i assumed his name was timothy and his nickname was timmy which can be also jimmy so this was a surprise

I love this butterfly effect discussion, but I wonder how much scarier it is when you realise that terrible things can happen from just as innocuous life events. Skizz says imagine tomorrow, as if the butterfly effect is always a positive direction, but the true terror is realised when you realise it can crash down just as meaninglessly.
Skizz, even if there’s not as many minutes in your episodes as other people, we love every single second of it. I almost cry every time I hear any of you talk about how people are going to get mad at you for not working, because that’s not true. Tbh, we need time in between episodes to get fanart out.
