Helpful. I used a pipe from an old shelter garage to help knock the new bwaring down in. I used wood too. The pipe goes around the whole rod.

might use either a "metal" or "pvc" pipe with inside diameter sized for steering rod to make securing the "new" part easier. several other RUclipsrs are using multiple tools to do this and looks to be very difficult & somewhat frustrating as well. just a small FYI to help.

After removing the old bushing a little WD-40 on a piece of steel wool cleans the area where the shaft contact the new bushing inside nicely, and grease or oil up that shaft area before installing the new bushing, every once in a while I'll lube it with a shot of WD-40 or oil from under the hood just above the bushing area and let it run down between inside the bushing center and shaft to ensure a longer life span.

Those black replacements are complete garbage! Only buy replacements from Husqvarna. The black cheap 3d printed pieces have waaay more play than the worn OEM.

I Very much agree, they are just cheap plastic and don’t even fit the shaft correctly
      OEM parts only 😊

Was this to correct a loose drive shaft or loose steering wheel? My problem is the steering wheel so loose it nearly makes a full turn before the wheels turn

The plastic bearing was badly worn so the steering shaft did not stay centered. This made steering very unresponsive. Replacing the bearing made steering more responsive.
