    Can 1 Metro card work for 2 persons travelling from JFK to Manhanttan ?

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  19 дней назад

      Yeah, you just have to swipe twice and be aware that the unlimited card won’t work for air train and is limited to one person - so best to load your card with cash if youre sharing 😊

    Do i have to pay for each companion that is traveling with me in the airtrain? Or can i just pay the 8.75$ for two people

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  Год назад

      Yes, everyone needs to pay to ride the train.

    Does getting the metro unlimited card also cover the Airtrain or is it separate?

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  Месяц назад

      Unfortunately it’s separate. But the good is you can just tap to pay with a CC, so you won’t need wait in line to load extra onto your card

    If traveling with around a 20kg luggage, and hand luggage, is a taxi the best option for me

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  10 месяцев назад +1

      If it were me traveling with that much, I’d say it’s worth it, especially if it’s after a long-haul flight. If it’s after a short flight, or I’m on a budget then I’d prob take public transit (just make sure to use the elevators to avoid having to carry your bags up and down the steps)

    Take an E subway may be a suitable ride during daytime. Typically you don't want to take the subway at 2 am due to weird people around. A subway ride I don't think proper when the cars are packed. A LIRR ride is better service; no strange people, an overhead rack for your luggage is always there.

      @@allytravels I have seen too many people taking subway with luggage that they have to have the luggage going over the turnstiles while they can just first slide the luggage under the bar before swiping the Metrocard for yourself 🤔

    • @darbas57
      @darbas57 7 месяцев назад

      E train goes to forest hills and kew gardens, which are some of the richest neighborhoods in New York.
      Of course, if you have lots of luggage that is a different story.

    Worst connection from international airport to the city. Only taxi can help. But it's expensive

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  10 месяцев назад

      Sounds like you had a bad experience. It’s def not the easiest, but it’s way more affordable than a cab, and compared to other places I’ve traveled, it’s not the worst 🤷‍♀️

    Is the AirTrain free? It is from Newark APO to the NJ Transit stop. Thanks!

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  8 месяцев назад

      This video is for JFK to Manhattan. That AirTrain is $8.25 on top of your subway or railroad fare - at Newark Airport you just have to hop on NJ Transit it’s about $16 a person I think

    • @allytravels
      @allytravels  Месяц назад +1

      There’s crime everywhere in the world, some places it just gets reported on more than others - I’ve lived in the city over a decade and never had any issues 🤷‍♀️ I’d say just be aware of your surroundings, and don’t leave your things unattended
