I am an outside vendor that goes around different schools in the city. The worse
1. Bronx
2. East Harlem ( I had materials stolen by children & excused by teachers)
Areas to avoid: South Bronx, East New York, Times Square, some parts of Alphabet City-eastward of Avenue C, Washington Heights, Sunset Park-east of 8th Avenue, some parts of Bedford-Stuyvesant, & any poor section of Harlem NY.
A lot of neighborhoods were left out. 1. Bronx: Crotona, they have a big park & The Bronx Zoo. Stay in those areas. Tremont, very cultural neighborhood. Mostly Hispanic but has Little Italy in The Bronx. Proceed with caution. 2. Manhattan: Lower East Side is rough. But they have spots like The Tennement Musuen, Ube soft serve ice cream, & The Williamsburg Bridge. 3. Queens: Avoid the Queensbridge section of Long Island City & beware of Jackson Heights. 4. Brooklyn: I don't care what anybody says, Flatbush & Coney Island, the neighborhood are the worst. Church Ave never lives up to it's name & stay in the amusement park area. Don't pass W 20th St. Use the boardwalk to get to Sea Gate on W 37th St
Thanks, man that really helped. I recently moved to Westchester and want to learn about the city for exploring, especially after hearing all the news about the rising crime rate.
But the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Park Slope and Brooklyn Heights are beautiful. Actor Matt Damon either has, or had, a home in Brooklyn Heights, and Senator Chuck Schumer and former NYC mayor Bill deBlasio have homes in Park Slope - so that shows what lovely neighborhoods they are.
WEST FARMS IS THD BEST PART OF THE BRONX WELCOME TO THE 10460
@@bkdopeboi No - Riverdale is the best part of the Bronx - one of the FEW good parts of The Bronx. Not many.
@@kingsilver1610believe half of what you hear and all of what you see NYc tends to be a different experience for each and every individual in its own. Many will venture few will fit in and the last thing you need to know is that NYC is a place where some people make it or break it it’s not for the faint of heart nor the most fantastic b-tch however those who can croon to the aggregate without being semantically disheveled belong in Yonkers trust the Bronx may give crazy but the other 4 Borough’s are BONKERZ!!!😂😂😢
……oh and WELCOME TO THE BRONX! 🎉
About Staten Island what the narrator's talking about is Richmond Terr & Bay St. Those are the 2 most dangerous going along.
Used to deliver all over port Richmond, and Brighton in the projects nd never felt unsafe Staten Island is fine if you mind ya business
one data point could have been used to say where to go, and where not to go....
Good thing is New York City is nothing new to me because I never traveled to the Bronx and I’m going to Brooklyn in October and I don’t go near Brownsville so Brooklyn is nothing new to me.
Not the whole of the Bronx only the south Bronx
What areas are considered south Bronx? Gunhill? Pelham? Tremont?
@@ericfarrar9185 google the south Bronx. Wikipedia has an article on it along with a map to show what areas are the south Bronx
As a native new yorker you aren't wrong. There really isn't a reason to visit those places as a tourist. Yankee stadium and the Bronx Zoo are the only places in the south bronx for tourist
Not even the grand concourse?
Also the Botanical Garden in The Bronx - better than the botanical gardens in Brooklyn and Queens.
The Bronx Zoo isn’t in the South Bronx.
@@mrmrso228 Only "trouble" is in the South Bronx. Further north in The Bronx are the wonderful Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx Zoo, the Botanical Garden, and some nice residential neighborhoods with lovely architecture. Lovely places.
@@cathynewyork7918 yes I know. I’ve lived in the Bronx for last 32 years.
I was there in ‘92 and I am going to be interested to watch this
Everyone would be curious of what you notice different from 92’
Areas to avoid in New York.
1. Manhattan
2. The Bronx
3. Queens
4. Staten Island
5. Brooklyn
😂😂😂
This is a terrible comment. New York City is a very exciting place. Yes, there are some neighborhoods that are bad, but so much of this city is exciting and world-class.
Watch your mouth comment
@@davidgivins4203 'RUclips comment section tough guy '
Laughable, man.
@cathynewyork7918 Obviously I'm joking, although crime is a big problem in all the boros but that doesnt mean there aren't any nice areas in NYC. Anyone that comes here to visit should just be vigilant of their surroundings, and they should be fine (maybe).
Haha. Just messin' around again(or am I?).
Broken, Glass, Everywhere, People, Pissing,, On the Stairs, Like They Just Don't Care.!.
😂😂😂
@@savvyrickbrown "It was All Dream like" biggie said too as well as my Grand Master Flash and furious Fives "The Message"
That is only in a few places - most of NYC is NOT like what you describe. Be fair.
@@cathynewyork7918 very true his data is definitely 100% outdated material. But he's describing as something from 20 and 30 years ago. Definitely not 2024 NYC we got much bigger problems and neighborhoods for the most part have changed citywide even as far as the demographics.
@@michaeldoldron8444 You're right. His video script reads more like a Disneyland public relations release, NOT "real world New York." Wow.
Great suggestions . We shall add maps . I appreciate you. Keep the comments coming . I’m real :)
Yes, add maps. I somewhat know NYC, but would very much liked to see the maps too.
all of the bronx, northern manhattan, and east brooklyn
😂
Born and raised in NYC, I never venture into any of the areas on this list for a reason, stay away ! There is no culture or history you need to experience in any of these neighborhoods ! do not be misled by the “not everyone is bad and they are working hard to make it better” narrative. He is not wrong, however the reality is stay away, the bad actors can spot tourists from space and you will be targeted, being vigilant will not help you !
The street scene at 2:00 is Brownsville?! 😮
I doubt that the street scene is Brownville. Brownsville is NOT that nice!
Atleast Canarsie isn’t here because real ones know people who live there wannabe hood real bad 😂
the whole city & 5 oros
truth be told you can get got anywhere in NY if you stick out & you will if your not actually from NY bottom line stay in the general area of your hotel and don't venture to the boroughs without a trusted! guide(as in someone ypou know that from one of those areas mentioned..
At least show the areas you are talking abut in the video. Bring Back White Flight!
The subway regardless of boroughs is #1...,just use common sense & u should b good.
Not even Central Park is safe.
Slander❤😊
English school teacher! "Bravo"
Better to show it on the map
This video contains outdated footage.
As a tourist, I would only be interested in Manhattan
It’s understandable. But so many places to see
Brooklyn also has some very interesting neighborhoods, especially North Williamsburg.
Well, I'm a bit too plain and old-fashioned for North Williamsburg, which is considered a "hipster" neighborhood, but I enjoy walking through there sometimes. Avoid South Williamsburg - it is a very religious home of Hassidic Jews, the people who wear the long beards and long top coats and top hats with the long wavy curls hanging down, and very few women on the street, mostly men - you would not feel at home there.
Actor Matt Damon either has, or had, a home in Brooklyn Heights, so does that give you an idea of what a lovely Brooklyn neighborhood it is? Senator Chuck Schumer has a home in Brooklyn's Park Slope - also a great neighborhood to visit.
You not even from here.
Who?
Practically useless video without statistics, examples of crimes and map view. I guess it is AI generated script.
@@christopherstewart9874 that is exactly what I was expecting. However from the video it seemed more like occasional pickpockets.
Areas to avoid in new yawk city, avoid the entire city lol
Doh!😂
Why don’t you just say all the black areas. WTF
Are you ok ? 😮
Yes are you ok. I’m not prejudice unlike you. I feel sorry for you. You are a fading minority of prejudice people who still exist but is getting smaller by the minute.
@@christophercox936the neighborhoods he mentioned aren’t only black but also latino. Like east Harlem
Just avoid the LOW INCOME areas of the city.
What a generic script haha.
