MiiVerse works with pretendo on both Wii U & 3DS! I didn't talk about it in the video but if you get and error code loading it, try the next day (took me 3 days) Also you can actually confirm your email now!
@@FizzyJuiceCoolhere, try these steps to resolve your issue: 1. go to the pretendo app on your 3DS and switch to nintendo network 2. wait for your console to reboot, then go onto the pretendo app again and switch to pretendo network 3. after your console reboots, go to the settings app and select “Nintendo Network ID Settings”, then try entering your pretendo network ID if these steps don’t work, then try repeating the process again. it’s common to get errors during the process, but eventually it should work. hope this helps!
If you play mario kart 7, check out the home-brew mk7 mod. Can play online with over 50+ added tracks, added characters like sonic or waluigi, auto accelerate. And best of all, you can host your own private lobby with your own settings and play with friends 😊 If you haven't heard of it I would give it a google

I wonder if they are still able to reconstruct the game's net code now after the shutdown. It's truly impressive how much progress they have already made.
Although I can appreciate what Pretendo is doing, it is definitely not anywhere near the infrastructure Nintendo had. Pretendo is a 9 person team. Nintendo has thousands employed. Pretendo has a very small fraction of the amount of servers compared to the thousands and thousands worldwide Nintendo had. With Nintendo, I was able to get into full lobbies of any of my online games any time of the day. With Prentendo? Not so much. Frequent disconnects, waiting around for others to show up, etc. But it's better than nothing. Another thing people need to do is read the fine print. This is all public beta so Pretendo can stress test their servers and see what improvements can be made. I didn't see the part mentioned in your video when you connect and the message pops up telling you that your data and information can and will be wiped once they get out of beta. Meaning at some point I see them charging a monthly fee for this.
I understand where you're coming from, but it may be that the game isn't that popular. We've been playing full lobbies in my streams. pretendo still have a long way to go, but it's huge that they made it this far already! it is similar to Wiimmfi on the wii
@@funkyscott47 I tried Splatoon and got into a 4x4 match once and it was fun, no lag, and when I went to do the second match it said error, and I tried and tried to get on for like 2-3 hours and then just gave up. When I tried playing Mario Kart 8 at 7 AM before work there was nobody in the lobby, but when I tried it at 6 PM on Friday, yes it was full. Played 4 races until once again, my character was just standing there waiting for others who never showed up, then finally got another error. Nintendo has millions upon millions of users. Only a small fraction of those have ever heard of Pretendo. And of those, there's numerous people who are intimidated to do something simple like change a DNS setting. They say they are not "tech saavy". 😂So it's kind of bad they can't handle a small number of users right now but maybe once they start charging they can afford more servers and hire more people.
@@Cyko.. If youre that concerned about lobbies, I'd suggest buying a switch. The reality of Wii online and Wii u online servers is that it's not as popular as current Gen consoles
when i insert my sd card, i do not get the pop up that pretendo is working. also i have only followed the homebrewing wii u guide you have made before this and no other tutorial previously
It don't work on 3ds dude Whenever I go into my NNID settings to update my NNID to the PNID, it prompts me with two options which are "Sign in" and "I forgot" "Sign In" prompts me to enter in the password for my NNID, and even though I enter it in correctly, it says "An error occurred" "I forgot" asks me if I want to send a temp code to my NNID's email address but when I press ok, it says the same "An error occurred" message
I already wasn't able to play Splatoon 1 since last year but the shutdown has made me think about it again. Sad since I was an active player. But whatever I just cleaned up my WiiU again and its time to try it out!

Thanks for the tutorial, it worked, but I do have one issue : It installed perfectly and everything and when I tried Mariokart 7 online I did get online with other players but when the race was about to start, the whole 3DS crashed and I had a black screen with Luma-like UI where it said "Arm11 Processor crashed" and stuff. Then when I rebooted the 3DS (I had the option to either send the error code or just shut down the console) and tried again, I couldn't get in a single lobby, it kept searching for players. It did say that I connected to Nintendo Network and I could play Worldwide, but it just wouldn't find any lobby. Could you help me with that please ?

I have successfully homebrewed my Wii U and I am on Pretendo now. Thank you for your help. Recently, I have found 100% saves for Super Mario Maker. I am wondering though, I found a file with all of the mystery mushroom costumes and one with all of the event courses. Is there a way to combine them or move the courses into the other save? It would be nice to not have to toggle between saves.

I’m having a problem. I was able to do everything perfectly. Install terimisu, install aroma, install pretendo, even transferring my save data. But I had to get a new copy of splatoon 1 since I lost my old one. And I need to update it to play online (I think). I just keep getting error code 105-4069. And I’m getting a 101-something (I can’t remember the full number) about not being able to connect to the servers. Funny thing is that I was Mario kart was working for a little bit earlier today. And splatoon was giving the same error as Mario kart but then it went back to showing 104-2210 again and Mario kart stoped working
Hey Scott, I put the file into the plugins folder, but when I turned on my Wii U, for some reason it doesn't detect the Pretendo plugin. I checked the plugins settings but I don't see the "Inkay-pretendo" plugin. Can you help?

Question on my 3DS: I created a Pretendo account with the same name/email (I later read NOT to), and it now won't let me remove it without either reformatting my SD card, or tells me it'll delete my ENTIRE account... Why won't it just let me remove it, and if I select to delete it, it's threatening that I'd lose access to my purchases/saves and whatnot, but I want to make SURE it's not deleting my REAL one I still use on my Switch and all my purchases there! I got Pretendo all set up, it works fine on my 3ds, but it doesn’t on my Wii U. Essentially, the Wii U asks for my Password, I enter it correctly, and it says it’s incorrect

So i have this problem where i cant even create a pretendo account on the web because it keeps tellling me that i need "a combination of letters number and/or punctuations" which i did have and no matter how many different combinations i try, it just doesn't work. So, I didn’t add Inkay from the computer. I downloaded the patch through the homebrew store. I used the same pnid from my simple dns change that got me online while my system was stock. Now that it’s home brewed I can not play online without pointing the dns to pretendos servers. What am I missing?

You can actually use Pretendo on the 3DS without linking the ID and only using the Friend code. Great video Scott!

when you create the account from the website they will not allow you to change the country and the birthdate so create it from the console

Will this auto update or will i have to download the updates from pc and onto an sd card?
if you're on wii u, you can update it using the homebrew browser, and on 3ds you can use universal updater

Splatoon is a bit unstable sometimes, has something to do with the stage rotations I think.. They are trying to fix it, i think :o

I think everything works, but one small thing: the homescreen does not change to online mode with all the different mii's. How does that work?

when i click to add a mii it opens homebrew, and when i close it, it just goes to mii channel and don't let me choose one

actually, you can still use online services by using the DNS method! don't even need to mod your console, it's called Pretendo SSSL

hey i got a question since i got new to pretendo, why does my miiverse takes infinite to load? like if i press to miiverse it just basically crashes and never loads i neither get a error code i have to restart my console.. btw i love your videos keep up the good work i learned a lot stuff over it ! ❤❤🙏
So i have this problem where i cant even create a pretendo account on the web because it keeps tellling me that i need "a combination of letters number and/or punctuations" which i did have and no matter how many different combinations i try, it just doesn't work. Any way to fix this would be a really big help thanks in advance

So, I didn’t add Inkay from the computer. I downloaded the patch through the homebrew store. I used the same pnid from my simple dns change that got me online while my system was stock. Now that it’s home brewed I can not play online without pointing the dns to pretendos servers. What am I missing?
Hey, when I entered my Pretendo account details, I got an error saying "Unable to connect to the Internet.
The network may be busy. Please try again later.". Any way how to fix this?
EDIT: Fixed, just had to verify my email
I got the error message of "you are trying to connect to a network not supported by nintendo, pleaee try again with a different nintendo network id
