  • As many city hotels bounce back from the pandemic, some remain boarded up and left behind. So, why not turn those properties into affordable residential housing? CBS2's Dave Carlin reports.

Don’t worry all housing lower than midtown will only be offered to people with income of $120,000 and over

It doesn't matter where you house them The homeless people that are hopeless It's not gonna work unless you use people in the program that have hope and want to make it!

Drug, Alcohol, and Psych Tests should be provided to all section 8 recipients before receiving vouchers. This can minimize the negative impact and stigma attached to affordable housing.

@@djdeznyc Yes, drug dealers, stealers, and killers shouldn't be able to live in NYCHA or Secrion 8. State officials can keep the city safe and clean if they actually pass realistic bills with preventative measures.

@Dead niggas have no value Sadly the statistics are accurate. Most section 8 and NYCHA recipients destroy the buildings and the community which contributes to the discrimination against themselves. Drug, Alcohol, and Psych testing could help weed away the bad seeds and keep the communities safe and productive while still providing those deserving and in need with an opportunity for afforable housing.

Do it to all the empty office buildings, too and tell Eric Adams to stop dreaming of packed offices. It's not happening. Put these spaces to good use.

The hotels are empty because the rampant crime chased the tourists away.
Rather than fix the crime problem we'll just fill up the hotels with the homeless.
So the city loses the tourists money and the city pays for the hotel rooms.
Makes absolute perfect financial sense. (sarcasm)
