I like Korean drama because I can watch and finish them in my lifetime. Instead aging to my death bed wondering to the grave if " Brian and Rebecca are getting back together at their grand children's wedding". I quit western drama at 14.
There are some western dramas that are good, British shows are often but not always actually limited seasons or just a few episodes (miniseries). Life on Mars, for instance. Or Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. There are many more, those were just the first two that popped into my head at this hour of night.
Hello My Twenties is my favorite Kdrama, it definitely sheds light on a lot of social issues but balances from the heavier stuff and fun romance/ friendship quite well.
ME TOO The roommate thing, the working everything is just sooo good exactly what I watch But nowadays the are over dramatic like they do the girls like as if we are dumb, stupid nanad that while as men they do them happy, attractive and a person who would die for his girl. I feel like they should stop doing girls so cringy and it should be like in reality
I love that kdrama. I'm almost done with their 1st season. It's so nuanced and deals with a lot of real topics. Like having your period is a casual topic or scene but still deals with heavy things like sexual harassment at work, toxic relationships and poor self esteem, etc. And the ladies aren't annoying and empty. They feel fleshed out like real ppl. And it's funny too!
My family didn’t understand why I liked Kdramas but then my grandma started to watch it and she said “Woww Kya now Ik why you love watching kdramas so much, they’re so beautiful!” When she said that it felt like someone was finally understanding me.🤗💖

love hearing your kdrama recs and this makeup style is SO CUTE! i think you made an insta story about what’s wrong with secretary kim and that got me hooked on it last year! chemistry is SUCH an important part of kdramas too...one of my all time favs is strong woman do bong soon. i think park boyoung is the cutest woman to ever live, and even though her and park hyungsik are so adorable, i feel like they also have some of the best chemistry i’ve seen on screen!
I love the slow burn romance in kdramas. They really get me into my feels. Also, I Just finished the show “Well Intended Love” on Netflix which is in chinese. I cannot get over the lead male actor.

I'm currently watching Save Me 2 and I'm loving a Thai drama named Bai Mai Tee Plid Plew ( The fallen leaf). This Thai drama shows a sensitive topic about today's social judgments on gender and I just love it. Both these dramas have been great.
I just finished Suspicious Partner (and I’m devastated) but it’s probably my #1 favorite drama. Hits all the points, comedy, romance, murder mystery, and amazing chemistry between leads, as well as literally everyone being gorgeous 💕 it’s kind of long but well worth it! Thanks for the recommendations btw ☺️
OMG for 2019 dramas you should watch Welcome to Waikiki 2, Abyss AND ESPECIALLY moments of 18 (at eighteen)!! That's the cutest drama ever! makes you reminiscing about your high school life
‘Angel’s Last Mission Love’ with Shin Hye-Sun and L from ‘Infinite’ was released in 2019 and it was so excellent! ‘Crash Landing On You’ and ‘My Holo Love’ (2020) on netflix are so great, too
When she said 2016 was the best K-drama year, I was like “That’s so true!!!!”.....it’s past midnight here. Also my favorite: Oh My Venus She was pretty What’s wrong with secretary Kim LoveO20 I’m not a robot (it’s amazing)!!!

I used to be obsessed with kdramas! The first one I ever watched was Goong and I was hooked after that 😍 I’ve been binging anime in the last few years but I will definitely be checking these out.
I have a different opinion on kdramas. I like the premises, the usually short/"contained" seasons, and more, BUT the acting and writing is atrocious. The characters just don't act like people normally act (which could be a cultural thing, sure.) And the characters are almost always stupid or randomly do stupid things to move the plot along. Also, the whole tone of the dramas change halfway through the series because they film about half with a script, and then they start listening to the audience and change things to get/keep the ratings up. I got so frustrated that I just stopped watching them altogether.
This. I hate k-dramas with a passion but will champion Korean movies. K-dramas even the most critically acclaimed are vapid, overacted and filled with tropes. Also, all the romances are creepy. Like these mofos need boundaries. On that note, I’ve noticed a lot of East Asian novels really romanticized creepy relationships. To me wrist grabs, creepily watching someone fall asleep is hella creepy. In all romance dramas, if the lead wasn’t attractive, no one would find wrist grabs, Kabe dons and whatever other forceful nonsense to be cute. Let’s be honest.
I started watching Mr. Temporary so far I am not disappointed, I just don’t like how cruel the rich people are. Try watching it. It’s by OCN, I noticed they tend to do more mature content and the acting is tempered and the story line is realistic.
tbh I only feel this way about Japanese movies/anime/dramas, they def give off that vibe. Kdramas, yeah, but not all. The more recent ones aren't as cringey to watch.
Absolutely same. I just stopped watching cause I couldn't stand the sexism, even though people argue that is a cultural thing. It's no excuse for me, I can't enjoy it. My all time favorite drama is Secret Love Affair. Such a masterpiece. But after that, nothing.
GIRL! you have no idea!!!!! I just came back from a small unintentional but MOST DEFINITELY intentional Kdrama hiatus (minus the must always watch Law of the Jungle and Running Man) and i needed new shows to get into...and who DOESN'T love Rain, that man is glorious. Thanks for the new binge :D
I've been watching dramas since 2010 uwu some of my favorites are - Goodbye Mr. Black - me too, flower - nice guy/the innocent man - kill it - wanted - he is psychometric - moonlight drawn by the clouds - twenty again - the village achiara's secret - marriage contract - scent of a woman - mask - children of Nobody - a witch's romance
I haven't watched that many kdramas myself but i really enjoyed *Something in the rain* It really sparks light on some difficult (rl) situations but is also a really sweet story and I think the chemistry between the main characters is amazing!
my fave one of all time is Coffee Prince,I love the male carachter attitude and the female one is really out of the the usual damsel in distress role and she follows her dreams...totally recommend it!😊😊
Let's Eat Season 1 and 2 were both great. I also loved Romance is a Bonus Book, When the Camellia Blooms, and It's Okay, That's Love. I am also working through The Greatest Love now. The Greatest Marriage is a crazy over the top K-drama that has great social commentary but is like a true car wreck that you can't look away from.
Some dramas you can watch. What’s wrong with secretary Kim? Touch your heart ( for the goblin fans) Graceful family (for my id is gangnam beauty fans) Waikiki season 1 and 2 Hwarang (for bts fans) She was pretty
Right now I m soooooo into Arthdal chronicles it’s so good ! I really love the characters developpement, the scenario is really really cool ! They’re not afraid to kill people if it’s good for the scenario ! I watched the season 1 final at least 8 times 😂! Even my parents saw Arthdal chronicles ! And it’s on Netflix
I almost screamed when you brought up black knight I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DRAMA. I am not a cryer but its one of the very few dramas to actually make my eyes water.
That stick foundation you used is perfect on you. Edit: you need to give Cruel Intentions a watch. Its not bad. A lil 90's campy and predictable but not a bad watch.
There’s a drama on netflix right now called Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung. I’ve only watched episode 1-10, because netflix is airing only 2 episodes a week and I live in the Netherlands, so I can only watch till the 10th episode, but it is a really fun drama to watch. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the female lead (played by Shin Se Kyung) is a very strong character. She speaks her mind, which was taboo in time this story is set. The other women are also very strong minded and I really love this new take on a strong female lead. So I highly suggest this drama! Also: Cha Eun Woo is so cute in this drama🥰
Girl same. İ Love anime!!!!. İ jumped on the whole kdrama hype a while back, but nahhhh, just wasn't for me. I watched a few good ones though. They were just too cringe for me 🙂
I agree. 2019 is a year where I can't found any good kdramas. I'm watching cdramas now day. I recommend "put your head on my shoulder" and "your highness class Montier" for anyone that want to give cdramas a try. I also recommend "I can't hug you", if you are interested in vampire repeated dramas.😊😁
My favorite K-dramas are still Secret Love (비밀) and Kill me, Heal me 😍😍 both drama's have Hwang Jung-eum and Jisung as main actor's and their acting skills are on point. Secret love has one of the best hate-love relationships. And Kill me, Heal me is one of the ultimate classics. It's funny, dramatic and lovely.
Umm, discovered your channel about 5 hours ago and have been binge-watching your videos since. Your content is amazing - fun, interesting and informative, with enough random moments that made me snort hahaha. Darcei, you are absolutely amazing, subscribed and liked a million times over!
I really like the crime thriller type of dramas so if you haven't seen Come and hug me, Terius behind me, Children of nobody, or voice S1-S3 (which is my absolute favorite by the way) I suggest you get on it.
I am also obsessed with kdramas...and would like to recommend you to watch Weightlifting fairy Kim bok jo, Strong woman do bong soon, Are you human?, Abyss, He is psychometric, While you were sleeping, Memories of Alhambra. These are really good dramas!
I gotchuu Darceiii Some dramas you should try watching that are from 2019: Touch Your Heart (SUNNY AND GRIM REAPER re-unite SKSKSKSKKSK) Abyss (the ml is fineeee af and Park Bo Young is so hot damn and kickass and uwu lol) Search WWW ( So I stayed for Scarlett and the cute ass relationship she had oh and Tammy's chemistry with the fine ass ml) My First First Love (Which made me a roller coaster, but its hella cute soo ;) ) Angel's Last Mission: Love (omg L is so aiurghjkahaklhkjreabgklearbgjkeabrkjgbw rjkb I was literally in love) Her Private Life (This has Park Min Young and Kim Jae Wook, need I say more) One Spring Night (Jung Hae In and Chemistry ) The Secret Life of My Secretary (cuz uwuwuwuwuwuwuuwuwu) He is Psychometric (Jinyoung) ~So these are the dramas that are completed and are on the top of my head. There should be more good ones but I forget them, I'll add them later lol
Kdramas I recommend : Heartstrings : I fallen for you You're beautiful Legends of the blue sea My love from another star Doctors (yeah, I have a thing for Park shin hye ) Scarlet heart Weightlifting fairy kim bok joo Descendants of the sun Goblin Romance is a bonus book Sweet revenge 1 Strong woman do bong soon

HHAHHAHA
Well howdy 🤣
oh my gosh i love you guys!! i have your app
LMAOO
OML I LUV U!!!
Y'all ever notice how many arm grabs there are in Kdramas?
It’s a staple of any Kdrama 😂
We need the basic arm - grabbing dudes up in this joint already!!!
In real life I’d start swinging but k drama means some real shit bout to go down
and chinese dramas
And the kisses can be so awkward at times especially when the guy just goes for it, like ask her first for once? XD
I like Korean drama because I can watch and finish them in my lifetime. Instead aging to my death bed wondering to the grave if " Brian and Rebecca are getting back together at their grand children's wedding". I quit western drama at 14.

Yes, i love kdramas but theres so many that have a dumb protagonist that lacks common sense, TRIGGERING.
GIRL! you have no idea!!!!! I just came back from a small unintentional but MOST DEFINITELY intentional Kdrama hiatus (minus the must always watch Law of the Jungle and Running Man) and i needed new shows to get into...and who DOESN'T love Rain, that man is glorious. Thanks for the new binge :D
I loved The Great Seducer, Woo Do Hwan is so handsome and his acting is so good
I've been watching dramas since 2010 uwu some of my favorites are
- Goodbye Mr. Black
- me too, flower
- nice guy/the innocent man
- kill it
- wanted
- he is psychometric
- moonlight drawn by the clouds
- twenty again
- the village achiara's secret
- marriage contract
- scent of a woman
- mask
- children of Nobody
- a witch's romance
I LOVE KOREAN KDRAMAS❤❤
I HAVE BEEN WATCH KDRAMA BEFORE I WAS BORN I LOVE ID GANGNAM
@@veronicajata3121 😶❤ YOU ARE TOO
@@veronicajata3121 oh also if you wan't to see cringy dance video's my channel is full of it😂
I love that show!
I haven't watched that many kdramas myself but i really enjoyed *Something in the rain*
It really sparks light on some difficult (rl) situations but is also a really sweet story and I think the chemistry between the main characters is amazing!
"I hate it when the robot that looks exactly like me breaks than I have to pretend to be a robot all day" 🤣
my fave one of all time is Coffee Prince,I love the male carachter attitude and the female one is really out of the the usual damsel in distress role and she follows her dreams...totally recommend it!😊😊
my fav 2019 kdrama was when the camellia blooms and current fav is itaewon class
darcei i love your videos giirl but can you PLEASE do eyeshadow other than chalk pink or gray? i want to see PIGMENT
Boys over flowers! The first one I ever watched. I fell in love with just the drama, omg the drama!
Full house was my first. I was six years old and could watch it all day.
Me tooo😍😍
My first drama ever too!
Gray shadow looks like... EXTREMELY GOOD on you! 🤯 OMG cuteness overload!
I was literally JUST looking for a good kdrama to get into yesterday! You out here reading minds lol
Watch page turner. it's short but prefect
@@saraha.1336 Just googled it and it does sound pretty good! I'll check it out when I get home, thank you!!
Watch "beautiful world"
Ooooowww there where such beautiful dramas this year!! Touch your heart, mischievous luck, for now clean with passion.
You should watch Sky Castle it's super underappreciated by International fans but it's super famous in SK.
Touch your heart ( for the goblin fans)
Graceful family (for my id is gangnam beauty fans)
Waikiki season 1 and 2
Hwarang (for bts fans)
She was pretty
Right now I m soooooo into Arthdal chronicles it’s so good ! I really love the characters developpement, the scenario is really really cool ! They’re not afraid to kill people if it’s good for the scenario ! I watched the season 1 final at least 8 times 😂! Even my parents saw Arthdal chronicles ! And it’s on Netflix
It rly needed to be said
I almost screamed when you brought up black knight I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS DRAMA. I am not a cryer but its one of the very few dramas to actually make my eyes water.
That stick foundation you used is perfect on you.
Edit: you need to give Cruel Intentions a watch. Its not bad. A lil 90's campy and predictable but not a bad watch.
Your eyeshadow looks so good! I’m totally reading all the comments for show suggestions! My favorites so far are Strong Girl Bong-soon and W!
Yes , watching hotel del Luna now ! memories of Alhambra & angel last mission also great to watch 😍
Title is me but substitute the Korean dramas for anime ☺️ but I’ve been meaning to get into k-dramas
Naws Sa19 any recommendations?? 🤔
Girl same. İ Love anime!!!!. İ jumped on the whole kdrama hype a while back, but nahhhh, just wasn't for me. I watched a few good ones though. They were just too cringe for me 🙂
I think you would love strong girl bong-soon too !! It's literally everything ♥️
I really loved I am Not a Robot, it was literally so cute. I relate to the guy so much
yes!!! not a single person has said this one!!
You need to watch He is Phychometric PLEASEEEEEE
Idk why, but I couldn't get past the 2nd episode. It was too boring for me😴
It gets super exiting at the end cuz like the dots of the investigation get all connected and it becomes something way bigger than that
My favorite K-dramas are still Secret Love (비밀) and Kill me, Heal me 😍😍 both drama's have Hwang Jung-eum and Jisung as main actor's and their acting skills are on point.
Secret love has one of the best hate-love relationships.
And Kill me, Heal me is one of the ultimate classics. It's funny, dramatic and lovely.
I recommend revenge note, the heirs, hwarang, hi! School- love on
..also one c-drama😂: mr swimmer
Scrolling down the comments I found many ppl didn’t separate kdrama and cdrama. Anyway really love you chatting things like dramas groups etc. 💆🏻♀️
Do you also watch Chinese dramas?
Chantel Adah meteor garden
Umm, discovered your channel about 5 hours ago and have been binge-watching your videos since. Your content is amazing - fun, interesting and informative, with enough random moments that made me snort hahaha. Darcei, you are absolutely amazing, subscribed and liked a million times over!
First!! I love youu❤️
I really like the crime thriller type of dramas so if you haven't seen Come and hug me, Terius behind me, Children of nobody, or voice S1-S3 (which is my absolute favorite by the way) I suggest you get on it.
You should watch Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung on Netflix
Recently started ‘Melo is my Nature’ & I can say it’s one of the few good dramas this year. It has everything your like about a drama 😉
what was the name of the first kdrama she talked about???? help a girl :(((((

Camila Figueroa welcome 2 life, the one with Rain, right?
