Favorite version is any of them where I only have to get ONE Top Dollar symbol on the line! I dislike trying to line them up- same goes for Pinball too.
Oh absolutely love TOP DOLLAR, it ties Blazing 7s as my favorite. Have played TOP DOLLAR since they came out. The D has 4 TOP DOLLAR in high limit room, 2 of which are Double TOP DOLLAR, and the Plaza has 25¢ one, as recently as my last trip in December
No Top Dollar around my area. I sure would give it a shot if I find one. It's always fun watching these so you don't have to risk $ to show the game features!
I’ll be in Vegas next Friday sept 6-Sunday sept 8. I’ll have $3000 in freeplay. Staying at planet Hollywood but I can get my freeplay at any of the caesars properties. What machine and denom should I look for and play?
When you said Try Again at the beginning and you said see it tells you right here. I did not see. Did it tell you not to take the offer? I am confused. Love this info and where to play as well. Much appreciated.
Marc, you are so awesome - the way you explained how to play these different Top Dollar slots. Nice bonus on the 1st one and a 'not bad at all' win on the 2nd. I remember you winning the Top Dollar Grand jackpot at Foxwoods. I flew down there just to play that same machine you won on & to meet Old School Slots (Stephan) & his wonderful Mom. I enjoy watching a variety of YT slot channels and want to thank you all for all the entertainment & great advice you share. Love your channel, Gamble Smart! 😘🍀🍀🍀🌹
I always like playing the original Top Dollar and Double Top Dollar. I'm really enjoying Top Dollar now, after winning Slot Machines ltd's latest raffle! Huge shout out to Slot Machines ltd!
I dont think ive ever seen that 1st one. But i have played the wheel one many years ago in Shreveport. I think it was at Sam's Town 🤔..and i think it was .25 cent denom lol. Maybe the "free" drinks have my memory slightly skewed 😂. Great video, Marc. Always fun as well as educational 😊
Wish you could get your hands on the DiamondRS edition of Double Top Dollar (5 and 9 line configurations) or Top Dollar Grand. I like how the bonus round symbol can appear anywhere on the third reel to enable the bonus.
The cosmopolitan had a Top Dollar DX on their main floor at a $0.25 denomination when I was there two years ago. I don’t know if it’s still there but I hope to see it again
Yes!!! Trop is my casino and they have one of those old ones. Betting $5 credits your best win is $600, but I hit a crazy line pay on it once for $4,000
I play Double Top Dollar at the Orleans. I think thats what it is. I've played the one in the High Limit room. This upcoming trip I am going to play the one out on the floor as well.
Marc, I've got a question about Top Dollar so figure I'd ask the expert. Want to make sure I'm putting out the correct info to my subscribers. Is the average credit return on Top Dollar really 80ish? If so I'm assuming that's dependent on the version. Additionally, is there a difference in credit amount awarded on the bonus for a 3 credit Top Dollar versus a 2 credit?
Excellent questions! Yes, it depends on the version of Top Dollar for the average offer amount. Here are some of the ones I know: - Original Top Dollar Single Payline (2 or 3 credits): Bonus Frequency Average 1 in 48, average bonus offer 48 credits. - Original Top Dollar 5 Payline: Bonus Frequency Average: 1 in 42, average bonus offer 77 credit. - Double Top Dollar Single Payline (2 or 3 credits): Bonus Frequency Average: 1 in 41, average bonus offer 52. (However, this one is more volatile than Original Top Dollar as most offers are in the 15-25 credit range). - Top Dollar 5 Reel 9 Line: Bonus Frequency Average: 1 in 60, average bonus offer 170x Line Bet No, makes no difference if playing 2 or 3 credit versions, same bonus averages. That's also true on Pinball as well. Even though 3 credits gets you an extra shot, the average in the bonus remains the same.
I played the 5 reel 9 line top dollar at Bellagio. Had a good time playing it with a few good bonuses. I played the deluxe at aria and didn't do anything on it. If I remember right they had 2 of the 5 reel ones at bellagio
I rally get muddled up with any slots that are cent denom. I feel more comfortable with whole denom and go up from there maybe. However, I would like to know if playing multiple lines should I play the most possible
Played TD deluxe at Cosmo two years ago. Made a little on quarter denom, not so much on dollar. Fun though. Not a fan of the 5 reel. TTD looks interesting but the spin music is unappealing. Thanks for the comparisons Marc!
My favorite Top Dollar is one that had an animated announcer guy on it. It was AWESOME! Soo much fun. It was at the Hard Rock in Hollywood Florida. But it was maybe 10 years ago, and it was was in High limit room. It is gone now,.never saw it again anywhere. Bye the way, the animated announcer character looked kinda like Dean Martin...lol
@@tommynagy7484 - I am going to check the next time I am in Vegas at Circa…. All of the other ones that I used to play have disappeared! Thanks for posting!
Played the 5 line, $10 denom Top Dollar at Bellagio last week... Ran $2000 through and never got the bonus nor any line hits beyond a couple of cherries... Marc, do you like/recommend this version? Thank you, love the channel!
Thanks for the donation! I do like that version - still my favorite. I’ve had similar runs like that on that one though. I try not to chase it too much.
Thank you. I 4:58 enjoy gambling and lost a lot. Now I learned also that using the Casino card is not wining at all. I watched a slot machine vlogger bet $1K per spin end up losing $1004. K in 20 minutes or so 😢 . Uses casino card
The casino card runs on a completely different system - it can not be used to manipulate the outcomes of the spins. So, feel comfortable in using it 100% of the time.
It's telling you what it will recommend you do on each of the offers you get in the bonus. The machine will recommend you to "Try Again" or "Take Offer". That simply tells you what the formula is.
Im going to slightly disagree with your statement on the offer amounts and when its worth it. Yes I understand how the slot is programmed to accept or deny an offer but you still need to consider your bankroll and what your likelihood of getting a better offer is. Ive seen people pass up a good offer based on wanting more and end up having to take less. I like that you got lucky on that 170x3 win, but I feel chances are most people would have gotten an offer less than the previous one.
You do bring up a good point and that is what makes Top Dollar so much fun. You can go against the recommendation (especially if you are having a good night).
Sorry to make you cry Mark but I dislike all the pinball machines I never played them and very seldom I play the old-school ones either the new ones are more exciting they give you more winning opportunities . I used to play the three liners or 5 Liners Way back then but now you can barely find them!
One of my local casinos (Mystic Lake in MN) has 4 of the "advanced video platform" Top Dollar machines, shown here from an official IGT video: ruclips.net/video/Bi6awWSdI0I/видео.html What really surprised me is that nowhere in the game rules, or even after receiving offers in the bonus game, does it make recommendations about whether to take an offer or try again. Is there any chance that's a configuration choice the casino made, or was that an original IGT decision?
I’m pretty sure it does, but it takes a long time to show up on the display that is between the try again and take offer buttons. I remember this one specifically being like that.

Great video Marc, thanks for explaining differences. Will look for Top dollar penny machines- didn't know there were any. Only seen .25cent and up.
Is it a good idea to put like $200-$500 in penny slots or should I look for the dollar slots? Do cruise ship slots make a difference.
My favorite... Top Dollar Grand
I'm not into this one but I know y'all like it. Y'all have a good day and week.
My husband was a fan of the original, $1 denom, 2 or 3 credit max. I only played it on occasion when I could find a 25c denom.

Delta downs is in Lake Charles . Top dollar deluxe . It is in high roller room along back wall .
High limit double top dollar or $5 5 line top dollar
5 line has been nice to me last 3 trips to Vegas
Marc I have noticed the new 9 line offers higher amounts. Compared to playing single line.
Yes, but the reason is the difference in the number of credits you are betting.
