JC, будучи хладнокровным, вряд ли находясь в розыске и вне закона полез бы в отделение полиции в чужой стране просто потому, что та китайская актриса, связанная с VersaLife, рассказала (соврала) про свою связь с его братом, несмотря на то, что глава или член одной из китайских триад предупреждал не доверять ей. При том, что её квартиру можно было проверить при первом посещении, беспринципно взломав тайное помещение. Так что всё зависит от отыгрыша за персонажа JC и реакций игрока на сложные моральные выборы - и разработчики явно хотели, чтобы характер JC мог значительно отличаться.

In another way it serves as a warning about transhuman and eugenics - turning human beings into tools enslaves and denatures them.
There’s a reason the nsa have dialogue discussing how all they see is the machine parts. Because they would just replace him with something less obsolete.
That’s what I liked about Deus Ex compared to cyberpunk or CD reds version of it. They actually considering the consequences of being a war machine and not really a normal human while in 2077 characters like that are just regular people with machine guns and rockets built into them, making their arcs literal jokes.

An interesting take on Gunther with this image. His augs have the same appearance as the ones we see in Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. He's probably similar to Lawrence Barrett, who in turn think was a nod to Gunther, both of them being massive heavily augmented walking human tanks.
