Man I love that people like you are doing amazing things with the dx franchise. The music is top notch in this game and you elevate this to a new level!
I enjoy in this mix that, while having its own unmistakable personality, it is true to the original melody. And let's not forget that the original Hong Kong theme derives heavily from the main title screen music. There is no shame (and all the glory) in taking a good music and building on top of it!
I love that I can hear the voice when I read the text. The voice acting in Deus Ex might not have been technically impressive but damn if it wasn't all iconic. Even random side characters lines were usually delivered in a memorable way.
Back in the day, when there had to be amazing music in games to immerse you because the graphics werent quite there yet... It works more to immerse than amazing graphics. Take Tenchu 1 for example... That ost had no buisness being so good. And the grapics were laughable, but playing it, i felt like a real ninja as a kid.
This is a sound (no pun intended) hypothesis... though I'd also like to think that artists had more control over the music they composed. I imagine Alex Brandon was just being told "dude make some good tunes" and he did his best. Same thing with modern games - Mick Gordon had full creative freedom on Doom in the beginning and the dude did god's work until they started micromanaging him. For most games I think execs say "make us music that just blends into the background and has that cinematic epic feel you know, don't overdo it as it might clash with our vision for the game" - which leads to the generic crap most games have.
Dude, I randomly just stumbled upon your original remix for synapse from 4 years ago today during work in a RUclips mix of Deus ex music and I search it up to find a new one. Awesome work man.
Here it is: imgur.com/a/yDQlJMR when I uploaded the video Imgur had a problem so couldnt upload then I said screw that, nobody cares anyway. I was proven wrong :D
Unfortunately not. You cannot just "upload" to Spotify, you need a publisher. And they all charge extra for the handling of covers, something I'd like to avoid :D

@@AlexNes Thank you.
Did you as the Hungarian have the idea of remixing Gyöngyhajú lány?
@@ukuskota4106 No :) I mean it is not a bad idea, but I have a hundred better ideas for covers not to mention original songs, so... :)

These cover images are half of what make these covers great, adds to the overall appeal quite a bit. Keep it up!

Love the drumworks with here E-Toms !
Gotta do the Synapse combat theme next, such a banger
I prefer the first version, despite the mix errors mentioned in the description. I find the arrangement more epic.
Really nice.
Amazing as always
Amazing remixes from you, a shame they don't get many views. There's got to be more deus ex fans in existence, right?????
"what a shame!"
Oh yes, most certainly!!
Awesome.
Fantastic
Szerintem jobb az elso remixed, mar csak a nyugodtabb intro miatt.
Az Area 51bol csinalhatnal egy remixet? koszi.
Very good cover. Why does it have so few views?
Looks like we still have some weird notes in a bass track here ;)
Waiting for Enemy Within, NYC Club and main theme!
Sir, your wait on one of those is over :) ruclips.net/video/IZR44ZDYTEQ/видео.html
100 times better than the original (cover and music)
third one to watch, nice one
Great cover image! Is there somewhere we could get the full-size?
