I’ve watched this episode 3 times now 😂 So true about training, but the last bit about body dynamics is GOLD. One thing I would like to know about training is- should you do it everyday? Should you train then surf or the way around?

I’m a Collegiate track and field coach. Always train the actual movement or event when you are fresh, harder training after. Basic concept is fatigued muscle fibers or neuro response won’t allow for the proper technical movements and explosiveness you want to ingrain the actual movements. It doesn’t matter what sport, this is the standard and what science would tell you.

@ShoreySurfAustralia you want to try to prioritise your surfing as much as possible, so I'd advise to surf and then train after. This will increase performance in the water and also reduce the chance of injury. In terms of how many times per week, you can get plenty out of training 3-4 days per week. On the weeks where you are surfing a lot, you may want to swap 1-2 of those sessions out for a mobility/ recovery session.
      Hope that answer your question!

I miss my carve stick I couldn't afford the full size carve board. But that thing was way better the today's surf skates.
