Wow, amazing video. What a paradise and what a way of living and very nice how you captured that. I am 60 and Robby has been my hero since I was 13 and set first steps on a windsurf board. He still looks like a nice and cool person. Thx for the great movie, it really gave me warm feeling.
Good to hear Lodewijk! Thank you for your kind words. Robby really is indeed a super relaxed and humble guy, it was a pleasure to get to tag along for some days.
This was incredible!! Every bit of it. It’s crazy like Robbie said technologically is moving so fast !! What an inspiration he is ! Koa is such a great kid in and out of the water and is very talented in many aspects! Austin is an incredible athlete just like his dad and grandpa. Big mahalos for sharing the STOKE !! nice to see something so well done ! PYCC is nice to have for the kids ! They do an excellent job with all kids !
Amazing shots and video sequences! I also loved the tour through Robby's container of old gear!! I have been windsurfing since the 80's, tried kiting, and wingfoiling, so super fun to see the old gear. Thanks for the stoke!!
Beautiful, mahalo nui! Love seeing the next water gen! Am now 74 and grew up as a teen living NS on Laniakea & Himalayas days so different! However the real watermen of my time I looked up to most was Pete Peterson who started young as a life guard Santa Monica who could do anything ... and so was a multi water inventor & athlete wayshower of his time ... that has contributed hugely to what you guys get to do extreme enjoy now ... so Pete I never forget you! Thankfully CA surf museum has him standing next to Duke ❤
Lovely video! Those of us who are fortunate live in Maui get to see the the best of the best Robby Naish & others. We are all part of his extended family.
Awesome how you got the action shots and mixed it together with the music and scenery. I'm really jealous you got to work here with these waterman. Did you also get some tips from Robby how to crank up you're wingfoil level?
@@markvanderkaaij4482 Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it! Well, not really any tips on the foiling per se. But he did almost chop my head off during the underwater-foil shot and gave me a good advice there: 'You should hold your breath longer' 😅
Mr. Nash I just want to say thank you for you know all the windsurfing technology and also I just wanted to tell you that you made Kailani the waterman is today but you know Kailen stir away. You know what I mean from what you taught him but like I said you made Kai Lenny and I was wondering, sir what would a good starter windsurf board that you would recommend for me and my daughters I’ve done windsurfing but my daughter with the new Nash technology I was wondering what would you recommend, sir, bless you, Mr. Nash and your family keep up with the technology aloha Mahalo
love this aloha spirit....i had an idea several years ago.....to take the hui ohee nalu....and combine it with regional ocean hui from all over...take for example....a watermans makahiki .....hui ohee nalu and ahahui mamakakaua...or warriors hui...and follow that with the name of the ahupuaa that each regional branch hails from....bragging rights and some very high prestige for the overal champs each time its hels..maybe overall winner from 3 years combined...skies the limit of ideas here ..just food for thought....just dont make it a money sellout.
I want to do it!💪but someone said behind my ear: “don’t even try! It is not worth! “That is what exactly what happen to my mind, same situation! But I still try whatever Can😂!
So Gerry, Kelly, and John aren’t watermen. If you commit your life to the water you are a waterman. I’ve surfed since I was 6 I’m 65 and surfed my entire life every single chance I had to be in the water I was and will continue until I die.
You guys are born under the right Star !!!

Nice job explaining not getting hurt. Surfing your ego well is our big trick while we age. You nailed it.
Ya gotta love the kid that says he got ‘every section’ such is the confidence of youth and thanks Robbie for still being a 61 year old grom.
They pretty much have the same energy and mindset 😊
Great video Edwin! Well made and very inspiring! Goodwinds from Sydney

Maui with Robby and Austin! Amazing ❤

@@EdwinHaighton thats a good advice, don't surface to fast and keep your breath just 30 seconds longer😂
@@markvanderkaaij4482 yeah and maybe loose the wetsuit and bring some weights, it is pretty hard to stay under when you're buoyant 🦆
Master piece, work of art Edwin 🤙
Wow,,,just Wow a Maui one❤
That was an awesome video! Thank you
Robby still amazing. What a career! Respect.😊
To me, a waterman is someone who can survive, even be at ease, in big surf conditions -- with or without equipment.
Really wise words and a humble perspective at 6:30. Respect
Incredible video. It captured the beauty of the Island , the inspiring young crew and its leaders !! Keep it up !
Thanks mate!
Just amazing ❤️
Edwin , you’re the best! 🔥🔥🔥

Amazing work Edwin and team!
Thanks mate 🤙🏽
I am pushing 50... Robbie's view on getting/being old is cool... Let the youngin's take it. ❤

loved this!!
This is an awesome doc! Loved it! Are there others like this of Naish?
Working on it 🙌
Ripping it up. Next get is amazing.
Much love from Kona! Keep ripping boyzz
Enjoyed this 😍
Legends like Robby have nothing to prove
need to make windsurfing content like this
won't mind a school trip like that🤣
🤣🤣
Fishing, sailing, swimming.... don't forget the core attributes of a waterman 🤙🤙
Austin actually fishes while winging.. That's a story for another day

Imagine how good Robby's weed is, hahaha!
If that's the future, I'll stick with the past.

I wouldn't put John in that mix. That dude can do anything on the ocean, including sailing.
I think people saying they want to be the best waterman never will. That’s not something you try to achieve you just are.
Waterman is one thing someone who is legend waterman is another like an Eddie or Kai or Healey or someone so there’s that’s.
@@AtortAerialsthere are many Watermen but only a few legends. Agree with that for sure.
@mikeschultz4862 30 years ago there were a few, today there are many!
What's with the Didgeridoo sounds? Really 🥴
Just epic. No cultural link implied ofcourse. I wish the stock libraries had more Hawaiian music!
21mins " into a 25min video" before I even saw a windsurfer""" , My sport needs re-inventing""! "mmm".
Respect to the Maui crew! Every Watersports career or dream passes through that island at some point! Mine started there… come to the Isle of Wight😛🫶🤟
