What kind of annoys me is with this figure being in *_The Amazing Spider-Man 2_* packaging, and Doc Ock being in *_Spider-Man 2_* packaging, this shows that Hasbro had the licenses for both the Raimi films and TASM films all this time, and they're just now using them. We could've had new figures from both of those franchises, but Hasbro just never made them? WTF?!? I do hope that with the newfound popularity for those older films thanks to *_No Way Home_* that we'll get more figures based off those old movies.
This has a better articulation than the other two Spidey and I think this is a modern Spiderman comic version. Tom version is kinda vintage comics classic and Tobey as a modern design costume version.
The single carded Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire figures are actually amazing (minus the mismatched hands) if you didn’t get the 3 pack. I’m glad I passed on the 3 pack and ordered them separately.

I can give Hasbro passes on their inaccurate MCU figures because they design them off of concept art, but they're lame for not accurately positioning the back spider emblem on this figure and being the only ones to mess it up. SHF positioned it correctly, as did the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 game.
I was a senior in high school (almost graduated) when Sam Raimi’s spider-man came out.. so what I’m about to say may not be echoed by most 40 year olds.. But as much as I love those movies, and I do (minus 3…) imho Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man we got in live action… it’s just unfortunate that he was stuck in the mildly okiest Spider-Man movies there is. I still think TASM1 is a real good movie. Andrew got a lot of hate because people were still in “hEz nAwT tOeBeE” mode and it’s understandable but seeing how it was based a lot on Ultimate Spider-Man with a mix of the classic stuff I really liked the first movie.. sure the stuff with his parents was unneeded and retreading Uncle Ben again wasn’t a great idea.. but over all? Still a good move.. 2 had some good parts but it wasn’t great (still like it better than Spidey 3..lol) That all being said.. I’m happy that I found this Andrew Spidey today. I’d love to have more hands for him but it is what it is. He will proudly stand on my shelf like the champion he is lol. I’m not super into Marvel Legends anymore but I had to have him (and Tobey) but this one is a real solid figure. Hope we eventually get Lizard one day as well.
If this is a TASM2 accurate Spider-Man, why would they make another anniversary set of figures? I’m sure NWH electro is on the cards at some point as that would look so much better.

I just got my three, I was wondering can you put the hasbro heads on the SHF? I am guessing not if they are like the SHF indy as they had a different system. Indy had faceplates though.
I photoshopped a comparison between the SHF and Andrew in the suit and the SHF has better proportions to him than the ML (except that his SHF neck is a bit too long)

Love this figure but the main problem is that it is not accurate & looks weird just changing the head only. The proper accurate version should have the neck portion showing his skin halfway down. Just like the SHF Tobey.
Such a shame about the diaphragm cut on this figure and with most with the new diaphragm/crunch configuration...it looks like a total eyesore imo. It doesn't need to be though. The diaphragm cut on this guy has the top half being too thick and 'rounded' hanging over the abs. It should be much thinner and flatter so as to fit over the bottom half more seamlessly. I don't understand why companies go to so much trouble with sculpting but can't make torso cuts look better than they do! It's RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIGURE FGS and kind of aesthetically important if you ask me! 🙄
