I was going to write the same. I like how he worked around the differences between his and Amy Lee voice.
I'd day Lost Horizon - Highlander is one of the hardest to cover. Not only is it 10+ minutes long, but that ending destroys your throat.
I personally think most songs from Queen easily beat this in the Cover Difficulty category
It's pretty easy to cover if you know the words.

I was expecting for the video to be a meme like the "Baby" cover.
To my surprise, Jonathan actually took it seriously.

Well Baby was trash until JoYo covered it. And Justin Bieber is a joke, unlike Evanescence which is actually a really good band that makes good music (exception to their last album "Synthesis")
This song deserves to be taken seriously. It's about Amy Lee meeting her future husband in the middle of dealing with depression.
I respect the hell out of her, and I respect Jon for treating this song this way. As much as I love Caleb Hyles' work, I hate the way he mishandled Amy's songs. He made a meme video out of a song she wrote as a form of grieving a real loss.
@@TheTheninjagummybear From what I've heard Caleb also has a hard time reaching high notes without his voice cracking. Let It Go is a good example. He's not a bad singer, but he can sound a bit whiny sometimes. Jon has a must richer voice and a wider range from what I've heard.

A couple years ago Amy Lee redid the song to how she wanted it to be before her label told her "it needs more nu metal and a male rap verse". Evanescence has it up on their youtube, it's definitely worth checking out! It's hauntingly beautiful.

She’s so talented, and between the lyrics she pours out from the heart and her vocals, it’s total crap that they’d not believe in her ability. I plan on making AMV someday (once I have a working computer again), and I'm totally using this version when I want to make an AMV with this song, but for a male character.
Female characters will have the original version of the song, they're equally good.

As a kid we had the Daredevil movie from the early 2000s with Ben Affleck as the title character on VHS, and this song was in the movie so as an AD they played the music video for this and it was my favorite song at the time.
