@@vxdxsnow1450 I'm saying this as someone who used to be a die hard DF fanboy, even saw them multiple times in concert, and I still like them a lot too (just, over time the fanboyism has died down)...hard, HARD pass on their version of this song. They absolutely destroyed the emotional gravitas and made it into a lighthearted powermetal romp, really with a single choice: the double timing of it.
I did try playing it at half speed and pitch shifting and whatnot not withstanding, it was actually really good..although I'd say Jonathan still hit it out of the park with his vocals compared to DF.

That final chorus is one the most powerful moments in music I’ve ever experienced. The hairs on the back of my neck stood straight up, tears just started flowing down my face, and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing: something so powerful and beautiful at the same time. At 68, even though she left this Earth in 1987, her pure true love still gives me the strength to go on and to spread the love we shared to everyone I meet who can understand that Love is the most powerful force in the universes.

The shear force of passion in this man’s voice while singing this song is so amazing. Celine sang it beautifully. And nothing will take that away from her. But my goodness this man sang it so beautifully as well. In between each chorus you can see the expressions on his face and you can see how it’s affecting him to sing this song.
Celine Dion is a very talented singer, but I felt nothing when I heard the song. Sure, it was nicely done, but it did not move me.
Your cover touched my soul, it's absolutely beautiful! Emotionally, you took me to the same dark place I was a few years ago, when I was drunk almost daily, struggling with severe depression and even contemplating suicide. But there was also a lot of beauty, power and hope there in that moment... Like standing on the edge of a cliff, staring at the abyss below, smiling, not lunging into the blackness, turning around and walking away with that smile still on your face.
