- Join Charlotte as we she runs 5K around the Alton Towers Resort! In this vlog we spend the day at the park for this special event, one week after the theme park closed to the general public. Across the weekend Alton Towers hold 4 different runs and in this vlog Charlotte runs 5K around the theme park in 40 minutes! We also make the most of the low queue times on a variety of rides, check out the setup for Christmas and take a look at Nemesis one week after it closed!

They ran 5k in 15 minutes!! It took me 20 minutes to cycle, yes cycle 3 miles and I wasn't exactly going slowly. Incredible achievement. Well done Charlotte 👏 🥰🥰🥰🥰 incredible achievement there Charlotte.

Excellent video guys and huge well done to Charlotte. - This event was really well organised and the atmosphere was incredible. I'm really pleased with how much was open and the atmosphere around the park. I do feel they not only need more coffee places but they could do really well on more breakfast places first thing in the morning.

It was really good to see this run in action. Credit to Alton Towers for putting some rides on too a week after the park officially closed. Well done Charlotte, you did a great job of talking whilst running, that’s something I can’t do while on the treadmill.

Very well done, Charlotte!! I did the 5k too and also finished at the 40 min mark! I've ran marathons before and even I thought it was a very difficult course so you did really well! I thought I saw Shawn at the end but I was too out of breath to say hello!! Hope you both had a good day!

6:21 Like the finish line by the Alton Towers Castle. Now Charlotte is all set for running in Disney World marathons. My cousin Sam, he can run, along with my dad and relatives on my dad's side, but I can't run marathons. I don't have the energy for it.

My mother did the run on Saturday. alot of kids rides weren't open and alot of them broken down, i was too big for wickerman and my legs wouldnt fit in spin ball wizard. well done Charlotte on your first run.

It's hard enough just walking around Alton.
Didn't realise rides would be open. I'd have lost some calories for that.
run 12 K every other day. I used to be more serious about 15 years ago, but my dad was much better than I ever was when at age 50 he was the fastest person in Canada age 50+ for 5k through Marathon. He did a Marathon in 2:38 and a 10 K in 33:20 both at age 50. Running is natural and good for your body and mood. Congratulations to Charlotte!
