    I just got the legionaries team, looked for a video about them, watched this video about 10 times while building them. I love the presentation style you used.

    Unending Bloodshed would not have Wrathful Onslaught because an incapacitated model loses its abilities while remaining on the board for that strike, so no autocrit sadly (
    Thank for the video! Would build my Legionaries soon )

    Great video and got a lot of pointers on new ways to play my favorite kill team🙏🏽 but some pretty important mistakes.
    - Tainted rounds can’t be used on the heavy bolter even though it would be absolutely amazing if it could🤩
    - I am pretty sure you can use Malign Influence on the Fireblast, fireblast says “perform a free shoot action using the following ranged weapon” and Malign Influence says that “weapons that operative is equipped with gain..”
    Also the melta is crazy strong on ITD.
    The Shrive Talon has been essential in many games for me and I hardly play a game without him. Don’t underestimate him.
    I agree that the chosen is the best leader. Though many think otherwise but that 2 point heal has saved my leader many times.
    I have never taken the butcher because I think the hitting on 4 with only 4 dice is just too swingy.
    Nurgle is still insane strong, against low dmg teams I just run implacable free and have a lot of CP for tac ploys/shoot or fight twice.
    I hope to see more videos from you🙏🏽🤩

    About champs being less deadly. Khorne fisting is very much a thing, not to mention your free forth action is usually gonna be yet another kill, specially in ItD where you often spend an action interacting with doors
    Edit: tzeentch's tactical is anything but boring, the sheer amount of things you can do with an extra action on demand for acolytes, talons and gunners is honestly impressive once you have a few games under your belt

    • @retnuHDJ
      @retnuHDJ Год назад

      The extra 4th action isn't going to let the champ break action rules though - it won't let them shoot twice, move and charge, fight twice etc. Seems to me the best you could do (assuming you don't start your activation in combat already) is shoot, charge then fight. That's 3APL. That last action will only be useful for mission actions or pick up.
      But as you say, in ItD or in missions where mission actions are needed often, it is very helpful indeed!

    • @SSVjoker
      @SSVjoker Год назад

      @@retnuHDJ 2/3 of primary missions require actions. ItD requires actions for doors. And from T3 onwards (and 2 too tbh) you should have hateful assault active. So yes you can do all that and more. The only thing you can't do is shoot your plasma twice, which is a fair point

    • @retnuHDJ
      @retnuHDJ Год назад

      @@SSVjoker You also can't shoot and fight twice with Hateful Assault which I think is worth mentioning. A lot of the primary actions you also can't do on the same turn (ie can't charge and dash on the same turn etc), so my point was really that the 4th action you gain is often wasted if there's not a mission action or pick up action for it to be used on. If there is however, it's great.

    • @SSVjoker
      @SSVjoker Год назад

      @@retnuHDJ which is a fair point if you're playing mission C. However even with that caveat, fist is just superior to daemon blade because of brutal and because of the base damage 5. And shooting plasmas on 2+ is just too good to pass up, specially if you're not using Nurgle cause then being wounded means shooting on 4s

    • @retnuHDJ
      @retnuHDJ Год назад

      @@SSVjoker yeah I also prefer the champ because of the plasma on 2+ but I tend to take the power weapon - just because that's what's on my model haha. Built it that way so I could choose if I want it to be chosen or champ

    Is there a reason to go gor an Undivided team? I've always liked Iron Warriors but Undivided benefits in Legionaires feel lackluster compared to God bonuses and Ploys.

    Is an all Khorne team viable? How would it affect your shooters?

  • @martylund8411
    @martylund8411 Год назад +5

    As long as people fail to realize that the Nurgle math is predictable and all the Top-Tier teams of already solved it, Legionary will continue to gate-keep / bully lower-tier teams and weaker players but basically always fail to place in top-tier competitions.
    Complain about Tzeetch being "swingy" as much as you want - it pushes the risk back on all the top-tier teams who game-plan on being able to remove marines reliably with their AP2 attacks. The 4++ is your only true game-changer. You have last say on the variance with CP re-rolls when it comes to that 4++ invulnerable save and it absolutely breaks the best teams and players.
    Nobody is going to win 7-round competitive event without having some help from their dice anyway, so you might as well have an up-side on your variance that actually puts you into the Top 8 rather than a better average bell-curve. There's no prize for consistently coming in at 4-3 or 5-2. Let your upper bound reach into that 6-1 or 7-0 realm even if it IS an outlier. Just play your best and keep putting in the reps.

      That's an excellent breakdown and a great example of why I love this team. So many great ways to play it that it's almost personal taste, and all of it can be good.

    • @SSVjoker
      @SSVjoker Год назад +4

      Coming from a teams event a week ago, legionnaires can very much end up there in those competitions, because it is an *excellent* shield due to having very few bad pairings so you can often tank the hardest pairings for your buddies, and being able to choose your opponent means Khorne can often have a field day essentially autowinning the moment your opponent makes one positioning mistake
      I went with tzeentch/Khorne and I got to choose kroots as my rivals twice, and boy was it a field day. But even the one game I lost (against Gellerpox) I managed to stay at 12VP which is pretty good cause every point counts in those events

      So you would say, to a new Legionary player like myself who has been on the fence on what mark to bring, its better to play pure Tzeench roster or mixed with Khorn than a full Nurgle?

    • @GeorgePratt
      @GeorgePratt  Год назад

      Unfortunately the best answer I can give is that you have to experiment and find the way you like to play. Nurgle is still a good all around mark, but if you like shooting a lot then tzeentch is really good. Khorne is great for pure combat while slaanesh trades a bit of punch for utility.

      Nurgle is no longer "the best". It's still very good, but it's not stronger than the other marks based on play style now, which I like. I like that you're gonna see more variety in legionary lists on the table. Personally I prefer a tzeentch/slaanesh list myself.
