Thank you for this video! I was beating my head against a wall trying to get my TMV71 into remote control, lo-and-behold the ABCD of my particular cheap ht is actually CABD as per your video! At least I know my expensive mobile actually works now, I was starting to get worried!
With the Anytone, go to the DTMF settings, in the pop-up put a check mark in the box next to "Side Tone" and write to radio. You will then hear the DTMF tones as you press the keys.

I use my DTMF keypad, using EchoLink, to dial up "Stargate"!
On my TIDRadio TD-H3 (GMRS), I can't get any live DTMF at all. It only will preload your string off-air and tx when you key. It's so weird. I tried with sidetone on and off. In my old days as a Cisco Telephone Admin, I think we called this "enblock" dialing? Maybe? It's been a few years. Anyways, can't on-air DTMF on the H3 GMRS radio at all. boo-hiss.
Try turning off vox or adjusting to lower setting. Vox might be messing with the dtmf.

Freddie Mac, I have learned that the allstar system sometimes has difficulty detecting touch tones correctly due to carrier tones being turned on in a radio's transmit mode. It would be interesting to see if you get better results with no carrier tones turned on. Steve WB4IZC

Weird. My TIDRADIO TD-H8 GMRS DTMF worked fine to program a Surecom SR-112.
I have a video coming soon that found the core of the problem and it’s not totally the TD-H8’s fault
