- Steve Basile, one of the partners in B.D. Riley’s Irish Pub in Austin demonstrates proper technique to pour a pint of Guinness. At their pub Guinness is far and away the most ordered beer, especially on St. Patrick’s Day, but it is not the easiest beer to pour.
Irish man, big Guinness drinker and I have to say this man knows his stuff, The old class is better for a pint but with that one exception she looks tasty
Damn, I need to get to bed. Wait, my RUclips feed says I need to know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness....
That actually looks like a proper pint.
I once witnessed a bartender in San Francisco try to scoop out the cream with a spoon before serving.
I hope you slapped him for disrespecting that pint of Guinness
That’s how you know, that bartender had no clue what they were doing.
Wow a place in the US that actually does it right. Don't see that very often. I just got my certificate from the brewery in Dublin yesterday.
This honestly looks so good. I've never had Guinness beer before. Can't wait to try it.
You should really try it out
Its my favorite beer by far. So delicious. Let us know what you think.
I personally hate the taste
You will have to wait three and half minutes to try it.
@@urbanchillerTM If a beer needs to be on nitro, poured exactly at the 45 degree angle down to 0.01 degrees, then wait exactly 45 seconds down to the microsecond then STILL have to wait another exactly three and a half minutes to drink it; it's a shitty beer.
You made one small mistake. The first poor should stop at the top of the HARP logo .. You stopped well below it. But apart from that good stuff !
I was going to mention that as well but you pointed it out so I won't .
Proud of the rim ????? Domage mate Domage
Best drink in the world 😜
Tell me about it !,..Just invested in a Guinness Nitro Surge device but still cant get the cans anywhere,..desperately need them for Christmas !
As an Australian who was in Canada a few months ago, I drank only Guinniess...except on one occasion. I spotted a six pack of Guinness 'blonde' in a store and as I had never had one , decided to give it a try.... bad decisionI I will stick to the 'black' thanks.
Nice fella, but it’s not the same glass as in Ireland, and nor is the same temperature (unless they keep the Guinness kegs in a completely different cellar to all other beers).
And it’s definitely not the same beer as it is in Ireland. The Irish kegs wouldn’t survive weeks on a boat without going bad. All Guinness kegs exported outside of Ireland are pasteurised, and most Irish kegs are non pasteurised. Simple. Also, the foam looked pretty unstable and flimsy. That usually happens when the filter in the nozzle is not fine enough or when the temperature is too cold for the beer.
Anyway, this might be an outstanding pint of Guinness in the US, but it’s not the same as in Ireland, not even close.
Down the sink is usually my preferred method
lovely
Great video but I just can't wait that long! I use the old barmaid's trick when dealing with a lively beer - fill the glass with water and empty it then immediately pour in the beer at 45 degrees or less' take a good mouthful then top up the glass. Probably not legal for draught but great with bottled or canned. I drink a fair bit of Nigerian brewed Guinness which has a truly great flavour and they should know as. Nigeria drinks more Guinness than Ireland! The basic wort is imported from Dublin.
Ruby black?
Food or Guinness.. how long can you live on Guinness?
Good man.
Is it pint or a pint, i can never tell.
Not enough in the first pour... Go up to the harp... But looks tidy... ✅☘️👌🏻
Now that is done, how fast should it be drank by the gas? of course, this is to not lose the head or get anything untoward in it like bugs in an outdoor venue. also, how does the guest drink this beer? Do not destroy the head? The reason why I ask, is because I would be a guest who is totally blind if I were at your bar.
Dont need to double pour anymore, that was an age old issue with the stout mixtures which required a double pour - a single pour, in my view, is better. Bittles in Belfast do this really well.
You're going to hell for this comment.
Круто.
Safe to pour 😂
I want him to pour me a pint
Però col sottobicchiere sarebbe stato più professionale 🍀
You made a key mistake: your index finger needs to be directly on the harp during the first pour.
The customer should watch the stout cascade prior to drinking it to enhance the experience. What no shamrock in the the head? Shame.
Nobody gonna wait 3 minutes for a beer
Good things come for those who wait, it's all part of the experience man
You don’t like proper beer then sir
Then drink weasel piss instead. Guinness is worth waiting for!!!
