Wacken is one of Lovbites' best live performances and to think they they really only debuted seven months before in November 2017 when they played at the HyperJapan Christmas event held at Tobacco Dock in London's Dockland and a day or two later a gig at The Underground club in Camden London. During the Underworld gig Midori told the audience in good English that "this is our special night guys, it's our first full length show" before telling the audience that they were "fucking awesome". People from Metal Hammer attended the Underworld gig and it was on the strength of that performance that Metal Hammer awarded Lovebites the best new metal band award later in 2018.
