hello my E keys a bit stiff tho i did not try yet will this work?
Honestly, the fact that this is specific to Lenovo, has thousands of views and it was exactly what I was looking for should give Lenovo some idea of what their costumers are unsatisfied with
wonderful and happy to know that our video helped
I will never ever buy shit from Lenovo, 3 laptops and all three of them have some BS problems
If you don't like how a manufacturer does things then make sure you vote with your wallet! Don't buy their products and make sure to share with them why in an email. This tells them where they have to change to gain market share again.
literally mine popped off so easily i literally don’t know what happened
@@CarlosAlberto-gf3dy Bought this laptop I'm typing on in October, already facing black screens when I wake it from sleep, some keys like F2 pop out at random moments but the switches stay fine, and the trackpad glitches with sweaty palms
Thank you so much! You really helped me, my "e" key has been producing double letters for some time now and I did not want to pay an extortionate amount of money to fix it. I followed your steps but found that my plastic bracket was not aligned properly. I removed the plastic bracket very gently using a flat head small 1.2mm screwdriver and then I cleaned the key and reattached the plastic bracket and put the key back into place. It is working perfectly, just as good as new.
Glad to know that it helped.. Thank you for your comment. Please SHARE & SUBSCRIBE to our channel. Dont forget to hit the BELL icon :)
hey i need to ask u smth please answer
My "Lenovo ideapad 310-15IKB" was having the same problem with the space bar after spilling some soda on it, but after pulling out the entire space key, cleaning it, it was back to normal. SO VERY STRANGE because i saw almost no dust, and thought i was cleaning nothing, but after putting the key back, turns out I cleaned dust I couldn't even see.. so this video really gave me that confidence! Thanks! Also it may have something to do with the re-clipping of the key back properly so just pulling it out and putting it back in might have a plus point as well.

Thank you for the video. Btw, if you took out your space key and it doesn't go back, then probably you have to rotate it 180 degree. It's not symmetric under as it looks over.

Good video. If possible avoid using a metal screwdriver and try to use plastic picks or spudgers to remove the keys. That way you are less prone to damaging the laptop or the keycaps.
Is it safe to use a Q-tip or small cloth with a little rubbing alcohol/ IPA to help clean the key slot?

If you have the chiclet style Lenovo keys as in the vid, maybe try it yourself, but the plastic bracket can be tricky. My Thinkpad has the older style keys. Years ago, when trying to clean under one, I snapped off the keycap and the bracket broke. I took it to a local computer repair guy to be repaired and serviced. Didn't cost much.
Personally, I'd recommend taking it to some small local computer place if you have one. All the big computer shops will try to get you to replace the entire keyboard.

i have a question. I also have a lenovo laptop, and removed some keys, but the white part came off, and after i fixed it, i put it back, and heard the little click, meaning that the white part is attached, but when i put the key back, it doesn't stay on, even though i heard the click. Any solution to this? Great video btw
you may use a quickfix glue if that white part isnt stickingg right (you may use at your own risk)

I am currently in the process of replacing the entire keyboard, the keys have been malfunctioning for months now and have started to crack in the sides, I originally just replaced the keys individually but that just work for a little while, any suggestions?
if you are already replacing entire keyboard as its malfunctioning then thats the only better way out, keep going
I just got a lenovo all in one desktop this year. But my cat literally just puked on the keyboard. Do your cleaning a keyboards steps still apply for that problem?
So sorry to hear this! anyway, if its not about an issue of keys then you better dont try to remove them. You may try just with a thin object, use a cloth and clean the keys inside out without damaging them. See if that helps! Let us know the result,
@@newsnview if my keyboard got spilled with a bunch of water is cleaning the keyboards work?
Hi, thank you for the video. My key came off with the retainer clip assembly already attached to the key all in one piece. Do you know if I can insert it back in place, or do I have to take off the clips from the key first and have them on the keyboard first like in the video? I don’t want to risk breaking the little plastic tabs if I don’t have to remove first. Thank you.
If the things are complicated, then there is a simple solution. Do it at your own risk (but this can save you money, just in case if you dont want to give it to the service station). So the solution is - take the whole keys and all attachments out of its place. If you see the white part and its pressing fine then just put a little dot of feviquik on your key and stick it directly on white part. It will function normally... Thank you for your comment. So if one key stops working can we change that particular key with out changing the total keyboard?
If you have parts available, you may try or visit service station and they may advice you accordingly
i sacraficed other keys to save the W ke
If you damage that white thing between the key you took it out and the keyboard what can you do ? Where can you buy spares to replace that ? Any links pls is urgent
You may try quickfix glue at your own risk to make it work without white part
A huge thanks to the creator of this video. I had bought a laptop but their alt and delete keys weren't working properly (sometimes they would word, sometimes not). a shop owner said that complete keyboard change was the last option, however fixed all 3 by myself using only a small screwdriver 😂.
Keep up the great work Brother, you really helped me today 🤎🤎

need help on repairing the white spring.
You may fix them but attaching them to the holders of the black keys but if you still cant manage to do so, you may simply avoid and put a fevikwik on the other part thats on the laptop and put a key on it. This will fix a key and it will still work! Try at your own risk.
Thanks it helped me put my keycaps back on

Since my lenovo laptop is under insurance period. Then will they charge for this service or they will repair it for free ??
you must avail the warranty during its cover period
I've done just like what you say, but when I press the keyboard without the top cover, it doesn't show at the screen..is it normal??and it's so many key that doesn't work like a, b, e, f i, l,o,q,r,t,u,5and 6..hope you can help me
Pressing the key without top cover should also type. if its not typing then there must be a problem inside circuit (not a key issue). you better show to the service station.
In my laptop, the second letter row is not working. Do you think it is a keyboard problem?
i dont think its an issue of keys in keyboard. it may be an issue of circuit board of the keyboard. you may take it to the service station. they can check and fix - this is advisable, rather opening it yourself if you dont know much about it.. Please, CapsLock and shift buttons are not working now on my ideapad laptop keyboard suddenly. I don't know why but I updated the keyboard driver even uninstalled it and reinstall it, but not working yet. Could you please help me?
Sure, dont doubt about installation of drivers as if other keys are working, drivers shouldnt be an issue. you may do some simple steps if you like to (at your own risk).
1. try pressing CAPS LOCK little hard and check does it still work?
2. try pressing from the back side of your laptop where exactly the CAPS LOCK key is located and try again
3. if you have a blower, please try that to clean the keys. if you dont have, turn down your laptop and pat on its back very lightly to take out the dust off the keyboard
4. watch the video and try that method to remove the CAPS LOCK keys (press the white button after the key is removed and check again)
if it still doesnt work, there may be some tech issues. now you may need to get it checked at service station!
when putting back the key it is wobbly .. it works but then a few moments later it gets stiff and I cannot use and I just try to take out and put back and it is wobbly again etc
well, you may try quick fix glue and put it over it for few seconds and try!
