FYI: Don't use a vacuum cleaner since it creates a large static build up that could (and most likely will) discharge into the sensitive electronics inside your computer and possibly damage your laptop.
I clean the laptop in the dishwasher at high temp once a month, just make sure to power off your laptop and remove the battery before. After cleaning, let the laptop completely dry for 24 hours before power it on again. Who cares if it doesn't work afterwards, you'll own a shiny beautiful laptop that you can show off to your family and friends.
1. Do not use any chemicals for screen on heavy filth use non agressive window cleaner. 2. If you have mechanical hard disk drive inside laptop DO NOT SHAKE IT, drop it, ...! You can damage disk drive. 3. If you shake your laptop, be sure, you are holding screen and bottom part FIRMLY, otherwice something can break. 4. Make sure that cloth is bearly wet before wiping, squize liquid out as much as you can.
Suck instead of blow? I seem to remember someone saying don’t use blow on a keyboard because you will drive dust deeper into mechanization. They said a vacuum cleaner type device was better (which they conveniently had to sell). True or not?
Suction makes more sense here, as air blowing will drive them deeper unless you do it at an angle? Even then, I clean my PS4 with suction, never going to use an air blower on it.
On keyboard vacuuming might not be that helpful as dust gets trapped which needs to be forced out, suction cannot reach unless you are really really close to it. Blowing on it would push the dust deeper but blowing around it would not, it would actually help to push it outwards. Also do not use a vacuum cleaner to suck around computer parts, suction creates static charge around the plastic nozzle which could be harmful for electronics.
So you needed “simply practical and useful tips” to put cloth in a bowl of water and soap then to wipe it on the surface of your laptop? ngl most of these “useful tips” were just common sense
@@totlicker I was literally about to comment that. That's exactly what I was thinking watching this bs. I honestly can't even believe I watched this whole thing. LOL. Like, if you need a video to do this then even this "simply practical and useful tips" video can't help you. hahah
The alcohol on the keys can erase the labels over time. Speaking from experience. Also be careful when using hand sanitizer for the same reason. Wait until it evaporates from your hands.
@@josherilofficial3986 if you are asking about USB ports i guess a tooth pick might work for usb-a or a little dental brush for cleaning between teeth (it is made out of a looped thin twisted metal wire with plastic bristles embedded between the two halves of the loop) could work for usb-c. Also, a vacuum cleaner might do the trick if the grime inside the port is not sticky.
Here is how I could clean your computer with 5 easy steps. 1) Shake out the dust, or turn ur computer around and tap the back of your keyboard, and see all the dust fall onto the screen. 2) Wipe that muck off the screen , and while your at it wipe of the whole computer for dust. 3) Get a clorox wipe, rinse it out and maek sure its really dry then wipe off your whole computer EXCEPT FOR THE SCREEN. 4) Get 2 cotton swabs and some rubbing alcohol, and dip them in alchohol and get into the vents, and clean the keyboard again with them. *Screen Cleaning* 1) Get a window cleaner. (I use the Spray away: Foaming action window cleaner) and apply it to a dry rag and clean it with that. 2) Clean of any marks left with a glasses wipey thing
thank u, like my laptops soo darn dirty I just get disgusted because of these crusty musty things. also, i recommend you all use a hair dryer I tried it and it worked very well, i only used it because I did not have any of those blower things
Never use a blower to clean a computer. The dust blows in every direction and can settle on contact points on the motherboard as well as the external port contact surfaces. Suction is better to suck out the dust instead. Also make sure that water doesn't drip on the screen on on the keyboard.
Thank you for helping me get my laptop clean! However, do you have any recommendation on how to remove bleach stains on my laptop due to using Clorox wipes to clean it (this happened before I watched your video)?
I use to attach vacuum cleaner at the top of the laptop when removing the keyboard and blow the leafblower at the exit vent, forcing all the dust in the fan , where the vacuum cleaner sucks it up. This way you don`t need to dismantle the laptop. The best suggestion for owning a long lasting laptop, is buying one that has got an easy access to cooling fan. That is why I buy older laptops, so I can easily clean them. Laptop manufacturers know that it would cost them nothing to design a lid that would uncover the cooling fan, but they don`t do it, so I don`t buy their laptops.
If you wash the back of a new HP Laptop, you'll likely erase the Serial # and anything else printed on the back. You can barely read it (it's written so small), so you're not losing too much.
I don't recommend blower. One of my laptop was damaged and It did not turn on after I applied blower. I think the compressed air with such pressure can damage the sensitive instruments in the laptop.
Take a bucket. Fill with hot water. Put a laptop in it. Leave for 3-5 hours. Buy a new laptop. Easy. Done.
I-
Will u give the money to buy a new laptop?
