Reading books in prison brought me from an 8th grade Reading/ Writing /English level. To a 101 college level at my entrance exam for Community College.
Hell yeah, dude! My degree is in print journalism, and I've been and English/Language Arts/reading comprehension tutor for numerous ages for years now. I've also taught GED classes. I've always told people that just reading....reading reading can really make huge changes.
I am an English teacher I tell my students all the time read and it will improve your grades but it is hard to convince them, it is great that you have managed to achieve so much and turn things around good for you!

The way you completely changed your life around and adapted to a platform that is hard to grow on and went to the top is just incredible. And to take people along with you and have them share their stories as well and to let them grow is just incredible. Don't ever stop Joe. Prison on the US is so dehumanizing, Joe did a video on luxury prisons in Europe and wondered why the recidivism rate is so low, that's because you are not brutalized and abused on these prisons, you are rehabilitated, they give you real one on one counseling from experienced psychiatrists, they show you the value and self worth you have as an individual and that there is a place in society for you, your life doesn't stop, you can study and get a degree, obtain training and education so you can do something on the outside, but in the US once you're out you have nothing and you are nothing because the system took everything from you, that's why people return to crime after being released, no education, no hope, no self esteem, no mental health, no money, yeah, flippin a couple eight balls doesn't sound like the worst idea right?
You are right man! It looks like luxury and of course it is compared to the US and 3rnd world countries. But they focus on the right things that's what's the mean difference I think. Anyway there are still people in the luxury prisons that don't want to change... And they are in the same circle as Joe and Dave were... They just don't listen to the counselors!!

Prison on the US is so dehumanizing, Joe did a video on luxury prisons in Europe and wondered why the recidivism rate is so low, that's because you are not brutalized and abused on these prisons, you are rehabilitated, they give you real one on one counseling from experienced psychiatrists, they show you the value and self worth you have as an individual and that there is a place in society for you, your life doesn't stop, you can study and get a degree, obtain training and education so you can do something on the outside, but in the US once you're out you have nothing and you are nothing because the system took everything from you, that's why people return to crime after being released, no education, no hope, no self esteem, no mental health, no money, yeah, flippin a couple eight balls doesn't sound like the worst idea right?

You are right man! It looks like luxury and of course it is compared to the US and 3rnd world countries. But they focus on the right things that's what's the mean difference I think. Anyway there are still people in the luxury prisons that don't want to change... And they are in the same circle as Joe and Dave were... They just don't listen to the counselors!!

This is exactly what i tought about when watching these videos, if i commited a crime the i would get my own small "small house" with a playstation or xbox. In norway you can even just ask for a bigger tv and they"l just give you it right a away.
