Join me for a brief, daily chat, talking about creating believable character portrayals by understanding why people do what they do, and the forces that drive them. I've been on a long diversion driven by your requests and questions into how a Zettelkasten works. Since you need real sources to illustrate a Zettelkasten in action, I am employing my new book as an anchor book and adding other, related, sources to illustration ideas interacting.
If you've ever wanted to start a Zettelkasten or you are wondering what all the excitement is about, this is the series to catch. If you want to follow along and get your Zettelkasten off the ground, you might want to pick up my book.
Your channel is probably one of the most helpful channels about Zettelkasten I have encountered so far. The algorithms finaly recommended something worth watching.
Thank you so much! Your words are very encouraging. How are you doing with your Zettelkasten?
@@KathleenSpracklen I am doing it digitally with Obsidian, but would like to move my main notes to analog with time.
@@Red_Groke_plans Let me know if I can help you in any way. I stumbled onto Scott Scheper from my first search for Zettelkasten. I liked it so much that I never explored Obsidian. Do you have a plan for your migration?
I got blessed by the algorithms by getting recommended your video/contents.
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge ~
You are very welcome. Please let me know if there is an area you would especially like me to cover on your behalf.
Kathleen, your response was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much. Several other questions I had were answered as well. Love this series of podcasts! You rock!
Thank you for feeding me such good questions, Pam.
Thank you
You are most welcome. If I can answer any questions for you, please let me know.
Thank you, I especially liked color coating on the big card. As well as “is this going to be useful for me?“ And adding my response in the source code. Questions I have and any argument thoughts.
The more of yourself you put into your cards, the more value you will get out of your Zettelkasten.
Another fantastic lesson .
Thank you, Marcos. Please let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you or any aspect of a Zettelkasten that you would especially like me to cover.
@@KathleenSpracklen I´ve started my zettlekasten for 4 months. I have a lot of bib cards but I haven´t produced a single main card. I am too critical ; it looks as if my idea is never good enough; what is valid as an idea/thought?
@@marcosandreorlando2011 Here are some rules that might help you. On the front of your bib card put why you are reading this book. An idea is worth putting on a main card if two things are true: 1) The idea is new to you. 2) The idea relates to your reason for reading the book. (These two rules are from Nicolas Gatien.)
Marcos, I will talk more about this in my podcast for today. Thank you for your excellent question.
Another alternative, if one forgets and puts all the notes in one color, is to go back and use colored highlights.
Yes, that's a great idea.
