Dear Reto, I have a 4K TV for streaming movies. I am curious to know if I can get a "console experience" with the 6500XT in old titles. Would games released between 2008 and 2012 like Far Cry 2 or Max Payne 3 run at 4K with a 30 FPS cap? I am even thinking that GTA IV with settings set to Low might even run at a smooth 30 FPS. That would be much better image quality than using an old PS3 or Xbox 360. Probably even better than Xbox Series S running GTA IV in back compatibility mode. A small gaming PC with a 6500XT is mobile within a house so it can be moved to the living room to play some old games. Thank you for reading my long comment!!
Hi Ion, that's an interesting use-case, good idea. I will test it :) But based on my experience with the card I think the question is whether it does 60 FPS in those titles, not whether it does 30 ;) In terms of CPU, I think an i3 12100f would be most cost efficient since these titles need at most two cores. It's also relatively easy to cool and can be stuck into a small PC.
I've played a bunch of old games on my RX 6500 XT, i get 140 fps in Max Payne 3, 240 in Hitman Blood Money and 120 fps in Far Cry 3, the card is really good for older games
Amazing!, i didn't know about this, very curious, it is possible that you can make a similar one but with the Marvel's Spiderman game, I don't know if you read my comment but still thanks in advance
Hi, thanks for the help. I am practically new to playing RDR2, and I wonder if this could cause a ban online, that is, in gta the mods and the files that are edited are very controlled online, and can cause a permanent ban. Is this the case in RDR2 with this script? Thanks.
@@reto I understand. One question, should I run all the files or just the one I want, such as the one with the unboxed hardware settings? Thanks for your help and sorry for the ignorance.
Whichever you run last will be the active one; you only need to run the one you want. I recommend the Hardware Unboxed one with FSR 2.0 Quality mode. No worries - happy to help ;) Let me know how it's working out for you.
@@reto You made my pc able to run the game at 50 fps when before it didn't even reach 30, Thanks again for the help and I'll be aware of your new videos, I just subscribed.
Two questions, if i do this but not enable fsr 2.0 would there still be a performance improvement? And if so, what would happen if I want to remove these files, just delete them?
Performance won't be as good if you don't use FSR 2.0. Nothing will happen when you remove those files. The files don't do anything; they only modify the graphics settings file when you run them.
You can change the settings anytime. The script only modifies the file once; when you run it. You don't have to uninstall it, you can just delete the file.
I can't have this to work because as soon as i get overt 2800-3200Vram usage in the game i start experiencing massive stuttering, but when i stay below 2800 the game is smooth and manage to keep 60fps lock... Looking ugly, especially comparing to my PS4.

I don't have the normal Spiderman, but I think there is an RX 6500 XT Miles Morales video in the "Live" not "Video" section.
@@reto Ok thank u

This script is not active when you are playing. It only runs once and makes the changes to the graphics settings file. That's all it does.

one question, will adjusting sharpening effect on FSR increases fps?
No, that's a simply post-processing filter. It's a preference setting.
@@reto so whether it RSR or FSR will not affect FPS in no way? And what does this effect basically does?
i only have red dead online, does this still work there?
I assume it will.
how to uninstall HU Optimized settings(complete uninstall)

Re-bar can cause problems on the RX 6500 XT did you try it on/off?
@@reto Ho that's a nice hint, i will definitely try that !
