We've been in a limbo for a little while (taking a longer route to come over). The bucket list is a great idea ☺️

I know exactly what you’re speaking about! We were just shocked when the Home Affairs denied our daughters’ citizenship by descent. It totally took the wind out of our sails since he is an Australian citizen and their father!

Great video you both. That must suck have to wait for a visa. I’m glad I never had to do that when I did move over there enjoy of been a Kiwi we don’t need to worry about that. Just got the other bull shit can not get money off the government if you loose your job etc . I have done 15 years over there now sadly back in New Zealand. Hopefully your family get your visa soon because it’s a fantastic place to live. You both should go to Morton or stradie or something and enjoy your self

There right now - waiting for an 858 global talent visa to come through. We're past the EOI stage after which 99% are successful - but processing used to be 2-4 months, and now it could be up to 6 months. Not in a huge hurry and aiming to move next year - but the uncertainty is unnerving. Problem is we're in Singapore - and we've totally exhausted everything to do here (it's a great place to make money for a few years - but it's tiny and boring as hell, after about a month).

Fingers crossed you get a quick grant! You might have to go on some holidays while you wait 😉

Not even applied for visas yet but my biggest worry when we do, is when to start selling all our furniture because I don't want to bring any of it, but I dont want to sell it if they say no either 😂

Once your visas arrive, just pop everything that you need to do on a timeline, so that it doesn’t get overwhelming. If you want more info on any of the things you need to do, check out the Moving to Australia ebook series, it’s a step by step guide 👉🏼 www.thebamfamalam.com/ebooks

Anyone needing a nudge to come here should check out the beautifully clean little town of Yandina you stopped at it looks amazing well kept and lush , and most of our towns and villages strive for the same level of excellence . Now back to your limbo point don't these bureaucrats who handle your applications give you a reasonable time frame and indication of your acceptance yeah or nay I may be naive but I'd expect that if you past the requirements and visa application, that they would be able to give you a specific time frame to work from , of course I was only 5 when my parents immigrated in 1950 and I realise that times have changed and we are rightfully strickter nowadays but to keep you waiting in limbo sounds unnecessarily cruel . I genuinely didn't know that they didn't give you a yes or no answer in a short space of time .

No - the Sunshine Coast is officially full and it should have stopped building about 10 years ago.

It’s changed a lot even since we moved, there is a guide of current processing times on the departments website for each visa type, this can change though, and some visas can take years rather than weeks or months.
