The engine takes 3.8 liters of oil not all 4 liters. Good video. I prefer to fill to almost top of the red circle. My engine so far uses next to no oil. I change between 9000 and 10000 kms.

Some like to pre filled the oil filter, here you don’t, any different? Just curious.
the oil filter is horizonal, it cant effectively be filled
@@TheBMWGuy ...yes it can, the media can be soaked and the oil level with the bottom of the threads. And there is a torque spec for the oil filter!
Why use 10w-40 instead of 5w-40? I thought 5w-40 is specified.
10w40 is acceptable by BMW
