Love your videos. I am debating between Pattaya/Jomtien area or Bangkok. I have a sheet with Yes/No. Example infrastructure Bangkok = Yes Pattaya/Jomtien = No. I think I need to modify the sheet that currently has beach and have 2 rows Beach, Sunset giving the beach a 2X score 🤣
Pattaya and Jomtien are building a monorail starting this year. FYI

Can't stand the West anymore, and yet still 10 years to retire! I'm so looking forward to retiring in Thailand, I just love the place, visited 22 times and I can see myself ending my days there with friendly people around. That video is very inspiring and motivating! So I'm saving all the money I can, and in 10 years time I hope I'll have enough to buy a house and live happily a real life with real people. I love Thailand and Thai people.

Getting away from US politics is one of the motivating factors for wanting to retire to possibly Thailand. As Coop sort of mentioned, my only concern would be that they don't debate the currency so much it messes up the value if my retirement fund$!

If you think that it doesn't have an effect on you living in Thailand who wins the presidential election in the US you may want to rethink that position.
Any effect will be trivial, unless the new (horrible) leader (either party guarantees that to be the case) decide to steal all of our money from our US banks or they send people here to kidnap us and force us to go back to the cruddy US.
To be honest most retired people here don’t have time for politics were to busy enjoying the good life. 👍

just moved to Jomtien, whats the best unlimited data & calls phone sim/esim 12mo package? All im seeing are monthly prices HIGHER than what I was paying in usa!
AIS - monthly pay as you go - unlimited 5g for 300 baht is what I use, I'm not sure about calls or 12 months
