    The fact that he uses his own healing experience to help others who are going through the same thing is incredible. An attack like that is life changing and very traumatic, and knowing what to expect and how to process through it all probably helps these people out on their healing journey exponentially!!! Also knowing they're not alone in this experience too. What an awesome human being he is. ♡♡♡

      I am right there with you! I learned to be more grateful, in May 2024, I was driving my Semi to Phoenix. I was right outside of Wickenburg, Arizona, when another semi hit me head-on at 65 miles an hour. I survived twice. The first time was the initial impact. It was so incredibly violent. The seatbelt did not engage right away and let me be thrown forward, where I hit my head on my steering wheel, and then it engaged. The force of the blow of the two trucks hitting each other was so powerful that it knocked the wind out of me so badly. I’ve never experienced anything like that in my life. The seatbelt broke many ribs on my right side and collapsed my lower left lung. I have a TBI also, and I’m going through treatment for it. As we speak, trauma therapy has helped a little bit, but I still have nightmares in the daytime or whenever I’m driving and I see a white semi coming toward me. I guess only time will heal. The second time that I survived being killed that day was when a young truck driver who was behind me in the semi with a cattle trailer jumped out of his truck and got me out of my truck six seconds before my truck was fully engulfed in flames. I was saved twice that day, and I still don’t know why or understand why. I guess I have some unfulfilled things to do here, but the man who caused the accident died at the scene. We will never have all the answers about what happened that day, but we suspect he probably fell asleep. There are so many unanswered questions, and I wish he were alive so I could ask him what happened. We are both fortunate to be alive. Still, God bless you.❤

    Following the fresh tracks of a bear meant the predator could be close by and definitely not happy with the intrusion. That he was surprised betrayed the lack of anticipation.
    In the short clip (with a link to this video) the narrator said Wes hesitated --- to fire at the bear? I don't blame him but it's important to develop the proper reaction in this type of situation to be able to fire the weapon without hesitation.

    • @Gr8tBlueHeron
      @Gr8tBlueHeron 2 года назад +5

      By his own account he didn't hesitate - he straight up didn't have time to react. He says the moment he say the bear he had enough time to say "oh shit" while he got his gun half slung off his shoulder. A bear can cover 70 feet in just a few bounds, as fast a racehorse exploding out of the gate.
      He also states they saw the bear up ahead and wee following its tracks. They thought it was ahead of them but the bear doubled back (common with predators and even deer will do this).
      There is a saying among bear hunters: "some days you eat the bear, some day the bear eats you."

    Wes! Your one heck of a lucky, strong willed man.
    I can't imagine what you have been through and I pray to King Jesus I never do. That was one rough road to recovery but you DID IT! YOUR DOING IT! HOW WONDERFUL to have a second chance at life. Those bears are so strong. A person doesn't stand a chance. Everything happens quick and when they go for the face you get blinded! I want to thank your friends that were there to shoot the bear. They would have been next! They deserve so much praise for all they did! Great human beings! God wants you here for a reason and helping others is a GIFT TO THE WORLD.
    GOD BLESS YOU ❤ FROM Lori and Canada! 🎉❤.

    The amazing thing about bears is they can live a long time at an unusually low heart rate. This is what they do during hibernation and their body can take a lot of bullets and they just keep coming. You have to hit them with a kill shot is you are in close proximity and even then it’s a dangerous situation.
