Imagine, a game coming out in 1998 and letting you play it the way you want, no restrictions, no limits, just you and the video game having fun the way you want. What a concept. Great video as always, this guide will surely aid those in need.
Totally and thank you always for the support. It's a single player game so I'm all for that. There have been a few games lately that are single player and they are restricting the player in how they can name things and even having level caps. I'm all for freedom of choice.
This is really helpful. The first 5 or so hours of FFT is bruuuuutal and then does a total 180 and becomes so easy to break your characters. Having a build guide like this is really great for newer players!
Thanks so much and yeah it really can be especially going in for the very first time. I've been busier but hope to do this with the rest of the chapters!
I love to see people be into it. My favorite game and one of the few I actually finished multiple times. First played it when I was 13 on the ps1. Finished it normally twice. Went through it again multiple times with the gameshark to use different jobs like sorcerer and assassin.
Couldn't have said it all better myself, Jase. Black Mages are BY FAR the strongest Chapter 1 unit! Only 50 JP to learn fire and its super powerful. So broken. Knights are pretty good as are chemists. I think Monks are a bit early for Chapter 1, but given grinding they'd be great. Black Mages, Chemists, and Knights are three best Chapter 1 units. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the best Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 units!
They are so insane. Their damage is off the charts just gotta get a little lucky with faith. I threw monks into the mix since we encounter quite a few in Chapter 1. That one I need to think about lol but I got some ideas.
Man your passion for this game is in a whole other level! Thanks for the videos man, even until this year. I always am happy to play this game again and again since you post more content with guides which makes each gameplay more fun.
Thanks so much for the wonderful comment. I'm away out of the country for now but I do plan to return to content for FFT soon enough. Glad to have people like you here and we are still keeping this game alive!
@@J7Jase hope you post more content for tactics ogre let us cling together as well brutha, I've been playing it with FFT on my psp. Love your work! Stay safe out there!
10:12 This is such a great guide for the casual player! I am excited to see the next video for the more over zealous player such as myself, lol. My mages already have manafont by time i make it to the slums of Dorter fight 😅
Thanks Mikey! That one will take some time as I got some funny ideas for it lol. We will see how I execute it though. That is awesome and I respect the grind. 👍🐐
Love to see you on that loyal ivalice grind. Maybe you could expand into doing little lore or story breakdowns to attract a wider viewership not trying to burden you with work but fft is famous for its story so it could be cool
That is a wonderful idea to be honest. I have some other video ideas too that I want to be completed before then but doing a few of those in the future would be great.
Squire's focus is so good. The 2-3 turns taken to close the gap between enemies can be used to boost attack damage which can make a major difference during the earlier story battles.
When I first started doing stuff with FFT I actually started out on Twitch and streamed. However RUclips became what I really enjoyed doing and there was an audience for it. Maybe one day I'll return to streaming
Even though I know so much about this game I still love your videos. I love hearing about it because it seems like most youtubers / let's players don't know about it. I always play ramza with my own personal zodiac even though i know it may not be the best choice for him. And used Orlandu in one playthrough because he made it too easy. My paranoia not getting interesting weapons and armor makes steal weapon etc., a must in many playthroughs.
Thanks so much! And yeah I mean some of their knowledge is okay but I found very few truly love FFT like myself. I think actions speak louder than some X/Twitter posts lol. And hey nothing wrong with that at all. On my second playthrough of the game I did that same thing. I was bummed for missing the shield at Nelveska Temple of course Elmdore's stuff lol
@@J7Jase I'm not on twitter but yeah I agree. Actually making good videos and playing is definitely better than people who make a post or video going, "Final Fantasy Tactics is such an underrated gem!" and end there. Thanks to your videos, I'm definitely trying Tactics Ogre Reborn next to scratch that itch. Although Fell Seal Arbiter's Mark did a pretty good job with this, too.

Hi thanks so much for the comment. That is a long video to make and do. Sure I can just hit record and talk but to get the proper clips and all that will take a lot of time.
This channel & Tactics Live Tournament. Champions of FFT. Subscribed! Sadly I’m just realizing Ice Magic is just elemental damage (no freeze, or slow down attributes) I badly wanted to create a cryomancer. Have you built an early game black battle mage? With equip sword and medium armor? Since no way to equip both heavy armor & swords and have black magic as main. I’m in Chapter 5.
Hey thanks so much man! I really appreciate the kind words and subscription! Yeah that is unfortunate there is no freeze or slow down effect with that spell And well yes to your first question no to the second one lol. But mad props and creativity!
Hey i have been watching ur videos because i pick up fft wotl again.. Ur videos have been a great help! I wasnt sure of what to do before.. now i over grind and have white mage holy arithmetician combo! Also a dark knight ramza xd But as i said.. i overgrind... my agrias is like lvl 12 when i get it while others are on the 60s ... I kinda want to lvl up the special characters together .. any advice when and how to get them? (I did watch ur videos for special or hidden character as well) but, i was afraid of over grind and the newer character needs to be level up from 1 again :(
Thanks for the wonderful comment and glad you are playing FFT WOTL again 👍✨ Glad my videos help you out. Hard work dedication I like it. We can play the game how we want. To help your lower level characters I recommend deploying them in battles and have them attack your higher level characters or monsters. Increase their speed with something like Ramza's Tailwind and have him constantly use it on Agrias or whoever. And to use Haste on them or find an item that gives Auto Haste. They will get in turns faster meaning they can gain exp and level up too. Hope that helps you out
I remember that after unlocking the first map with random encounters i grinded so hard i had ninjas😂😂. But still my fav job was Monk. Healing, raising the dead, long range and AoE attacks. Such a great boost to the team.
Great video! Another job that helps in chapter 1 is the Dark Knight jk jk! A Thief with Brawler could be very good early game, especially if you learn Chakra and Aurablast. One thing I always rush for on 2 generic units is Orator + Enlighten to lower Faith to 3, but yeah that might be considered advanced already. A Mystic that can turn enemies into chickens and everyone with Steal Gil is borderline broken in the early game as well, you get tons of cash and JP with 0 risk 😂
Dark Knight Chapter 1 or go home lol. I actually did that back in the day on my psp but my save sadly corrupted. Wish I could totally retrieve that. That can totally work too as the Thief's one extra move stat can come in real handy. It is a bit more advanced I say but it is just so handy and useful lol. I love Ramza but that 70 faith of his can really compromise him lol
@@J7Jase I guess DK is possible but I'd only say if you use that level down tile in Zeklaus Desert, otherwise you'll end up with a level 50 beast in chapter 1 lolololol :D
