    Wonderful! Since my son was born in Turkey, his favorite fruit was çilek. It wasn't until we left Turkey that he heard his teacher talk about "strawberries". "Hmm," he thought, "That sounds just like a çilek"!

    elma sounds similar to the hungarian word "alma" which means the same 🍎

    • @zeynepiremgunes7302
      @zeynepiremgunes7302 4 года назад +7

      Elma was actually alma so many years ago. Even some of our grandmas, grandpas still say alma. But the word changed over the years and today we say/write elma. Also, Hungary and Turkey have similar roots as we Turks, come from Huns. Maybe it has something to do with that?

    Look how Portuguese and Turkish are similar: domates = tomate; patates = batata; brokoli = brócoli; kestane = castanha ; mango = manga ; frambuaz =:framboesa; kivi = kiwi...

      I think there was a lot historical trade between ottomans and Mughals. I guess Mughals exported coconuts and probably ottomans didn’t know what to call it. 😀 For example plums in Hindi is Aloo Bukhara which literally means Bukhara potatoes!

    • @oyazzici
      @oyazzici 5 лет назад +1

      @@jaskatpon1 But it is hard to simulate a plum to potato, isn't it! 😂 Ok we have a plum thing too, in Turkish we call loquat as "Malta eriği" which means Malta plum. 😂

    Quiero aprenderlo pero hay mucha falta de videos donde nos enseñen la composición de la terminación de las palabras ya que de por si es complicado aprenderlo para quienes tenemos una lengua tan clara en los sonidos, en español, es muy semejante el sonido a la escritura en general claro con algunas excepciones pero lo que ves lo lees casi siempre, y en el resto de las lenguas hay sonidos tan distintos que me complico. Si alguien tiene ubicado algun canal donde se pueda aprender desde CERO pero de verdad desde cero por fa compartalo
    Lo importante es seguir aprendiendo
