Yeah I didn't like her at all. The soft blue was stunning and made me appreciate blue wedding dresses. Especially on the bride's figure. It’s the way the embroidery/beading is done over the breasts for me. The dress and veil all look beautiful & well thought out, and the rest of the top was pretty, but those parts look like they were slapped on last minute.

Blue was the color representing purity, and ironically, WAS the traditional color for wedding dresses until Queen Victoria came along. Due to this thing called "white lace" becoming a fashion trend at the time, Queen Victoria just HAD to have a white lace wedding gown. And of course, everyone had to copy her ever since. So yeah, kudos to bringing blue back to wedding gowns everywhere. :)

I had a classmate in college who had a Halloween themed wedding, so her dress was sparkly red and her veil was black and nicknamed "Morticia". It was a cute look for her and she enjoyed her wedding.

@@dreamidiaries As a little encouragement, making gowns is actually not that hard. A great place to start is making straight gathered skirts for ballgown and a-line dresses. For more slimmer dresses I would start off with some of the simplicity patterns. They are very easy to follow and you can use parts from different patterns to make what you have in mind. As for the bodice, take it slow. It's going to be frustrating and you are going to mess up but eventually you will get there. Hell for every dress I make theres about 4 or 5 wonky muslin versions of it.

I grew up taking apart old sheets and curtains to make stuff or I would go down to goodwill to see what all I could take fabric from. Another cheap place to get fabric is Walmart. While it isn't good quality by any means, it'll do as a starter. Shoot my recreation of a victorian mourning dress is completely made out of Walmart material and I think I only spend 60 on it and that's because there's about 20 yards of fabric to this dress.

Shoes do have practical use - if it's snowing or freezing cold, or boiling hot, dog still needs to be walked and get its exercise, but making it walk on the pavement would be as unpleasant and potentially dangerous as a human walking barefeet. Shoes to the rescue.
