Never heard of him prior to... but his tape was good. He reminded me of a bit of Brown-esk style of receiving. But no matter who we sign, it still comes down to the relationship between out WRs and QB1. If they're compatible, then it will work!

Dez Fitzpatrick. I'd double up at WR in the draft, taking Malachi Corley probably 2nd round and Luke McCaffery in the mid rounds.

Drafted in the 6 round by the eagles. I think him and Van Jefferson can rotate and a rookie and CAIII and Mims can be the room this year
I like this signing, and his tape. He makes catches, and seems reliable along with his speed. I say wait for the draft to grab one of the top receivers in like the second or third round.

I think with pick 1, you have to go OL, specifically center, then pick 2, Brenden Rice.
Round 2 for Rice would be super early...he's projected round 4 and later. You could get him at 119.

People are sleeping on the fact that just getting Russell Wilson in the building improves the WR room. Remember how Ben didn't need all pro WRs and how he single handedly MADE WRs great ala Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, JuJu and Donte? All we need is people like Van Jefferson, Quez and Calvin Austin to continue to improve and Russell will take care of the rest.

It was really hard to Google "quez Watkins draft" and find out he was picked 200th in the 2020 draft by the eagles. Almost impossible. And definitely didn't take 13 seconds to do it. It was the right decision not to waste your time looking that up. 🎉

Quez is a #5 and Jefferson is a #4. I’m not a huge Boyd guy, but he would make a ton of sense as a big slot #2. Then we draft one in the middle of the draft.
Return guy at best. Still need a solid #2 WR. This guy will be lucky to make it through preseason

I have been saying this since the talk started about Justin Fields, I can see him being another Kordell Stewart as a slash role.
If we had got Tyler Boyd we wouldn’t have to worry about a receiver at all. Now we have two extra nobodies and a WR2 still missing
I’d maybe trade down and go with center in the first round, then try to get another 2nd round pick or something…I could see maybe 6 picks in the top 100…it’s really tough though because there are so many ways it could play out…What if a first round WR falls, I’d hope they’d jump at it
Can only afford 1 stud WR once the QB gets paid,see San Fran,Cinci. Only going to use 1 or 2 at a time. Depth for using 3 TE and/or FB and special teams could be an issue

Here is another returner. We will use a late Day 2 on a WR, but it has nothing to do with the room depth chart, but has everything to do with taking leverage away from Pickens to act up with no repercussions. Smith's offense doesn't require 3 WRs on the field. Its almost all 2 WR sets. Kahn has done nothing but replace malcontents. As far as the first 2 Rds for WR? No. Thats what got us in this mess to begin with by burning our top 3 picks on WR every year. Pretty sick of it.

Not even close. He can’t catch and he steps out of bounds far too early. He is fast and he will block, but that’s about it. We will be frustrated with him

I would like to throw out that the best years Arthur smith had as an OC he only had AJ Brown and Corey Davis so I’m just saying we could be going heavy set with a lack of receivers and letting Pickens and be WR1 and a rotation other WR2s
We still need some help on the O-line...I think that needs to be the #1 priority (Left tackle and Center), then WR, and maybe a Defensive end knowing Cam will be retiring soon.

Can we not sign Van Jefferson types and Quez Watkins types we have Calvin Austin. We need a bonified 1A or 2 receiver. Not a group of 3-4 level receivers. I was hoping we would have fought for Mike Evans. Or at this point even a 1 year deal with Odell Beckham JR, as much as I don’t like him off the field but Russell Wilson Odell Pickens and Calvin, sounds like a great deal to me….

Maybe I’m missing something but I am not mad we traded Dionte. When it came time to resign him or extend contract, I was totally against upping his salary. It seems he dropped easy passes in some very crucial moments and his unwillingness to block for others signaled to me that he just wasn’t worth the money. JMO THOUGH

He's so, so fast, which is great. But I have concerns that he occasionally has the dropsies. If they can train that out of him, then he might be a steal, but we'll see. And I think they did this trade because it's already confirmed Steelers can't do the Brandon Aiyuk move. He is off the table - he has contract negotiations underway with the Niners. John Lynch said they're not trading him today. My guess is the Steelers rumors and his tweet to Tomlin spooked the 49ers enough to get them to the negotiating table, at least for now.

Those wrs are more than enough for this year. Add some kid from the draft in 3rd or something. They take tackle center rd 1 and 2 and I will feel much better about the season.

"We definitely know what we're doing with drafting receivers..." I know that's what everyone says, but it makes absolutely no sense, unless we have "dedicated receiver scouts" who haven't changed for the last 20 years. Otherwise, it's dumb luck or evidence that Big Ben (a good QB) makes a lot of receivers look great for a long time.
