I only got to face MBC once in 2002, my crab year. But even then got to feel the awesome rivalry between these two bands. I wish the Marching Wolverines were still around.
Nice arrangements and really a full sound. I remember hearing ''this is the way'' for the first time performed by Morris Brown. It created pure excitement in me. Hopefully they will gain new momentum in the coming future.
MBC was in the first Drumline movie. They were not in the second. But hopefully Morris Brown will be back. Morris Brown lost there band numbers after an issue came up back in 2004-2005 when the school went under due to someone miss manage funds for the school and the programs at the college took a big hit in a way that the college lost there credit. As of 2014-2015 the school finally is building back to where it needs to be and the band program is finally coming back.
I wish there were more vids of Morris brown lol i wasn't really old enough to care about them before they went under and they don't really sound the best in these few vids

I will say they Tubas had some moments other than that lines where crooked, they shaming/ no 90's, they just seem lost. ELLIS BANDS NEVER HAVE IT TOGETHER. HE GETS OKAY NUMBERS BUT IF HE JUST HAD DISCIPLINE HE WOULD BE THE BEST DIRECTOR. ELLIS BANDS HAVE VERY CREATIVE STYLE. FROME THE ENTIRE TO there sound they are unique. I especially love how they blend SWAC sound with MEAC. The only problem was ELLIS NEVER SEEM TO GET HIS BANDS TO MASTER ANYTHING.

Yeah I marched with them in 04 when I was in 8th grade. Transferred to Stephenson high school but Mr Moore their director was a Mbc drum major in 87.
Non of the high school bands are what it was like back in the early 2000s mbc, famu, southern had a huge influence on us back then.

You can arguably say SCSU especially since he is the band director their now, but SCSU is a lot better now musically compared to Morris Brown

No It's HBCU known as Historically black colleges and universities so there more blacks but some white band memebers are in HBCU Marching Bands
