But yes, it's amazing that he still influences culture and the music scene after all these years. He is timeless! Two interesting stories. When I was a teen in the 70s, I sat on the wall around Graceland. Times were very different back then. He had an older guy who was stationed by the gate. Very nice guy, He said Elvis was home, but I never saw Elvis, but the guy did let me sit on the wall around Graceland. It is ingrained in my mind! My dad's family are from the Memphis area and about 20 years or so ago we visited again. The thing that was cool was after all this time in the backyard where Elvis is buried there were still women of all ages putting flowers on his grave and crying! Have you been to Graceland?
