- The third round of the Bricklink Designer Program brought us some impressive designs. Among them is the Modular Construction Site. Designed by Ryan Taggart, this set offers some impressive and challenging build techniques and provides an amazing result that will make any LEGO city look like a thriving metropolis.

I always thought modular meant the way you could mix and match the buildings in a modular style, not necessarily the floors being removable.
It means both
Looks incredible! And the fact that it is under construction makes it more realistic in my view. Plus, Emmet has something to do! Everything is awesome! 😅
Great set, just wish it was widely released.
The placement is perfect
I wish they were widely produced as well. Maybe even just allowing a second run of another 10,000 units. It has quickly become an easy target for set flippers to make a quick buck.
This looks like something out of the original Lego Movie! Well done Ryan Taggart, and thanks for the review. Should have pre-ordered, looks like a great set.
Great review Alex. This kind of building is always needed in a city. Great pick up.
This is the first review I've seen to specifically call out the height, which is what I needed to know (24"). My shelf is only 19" tall!
Sorry it's too tall for your shelf. I am not sure that you'd want to sacrifice the crane.
“Maybe it’s legal,maybe it’s not”. 😆
Awesome, I obviously need this! 🤩
I would love to see someone finish this building as well as add more floors
So basically like any highways in California......forever in a state of construction/repair......cool building though.
Utah is also like that. Love UDOt doing a 3 year project every two years on the same stretch of highway in Utah County.
@@LegoKoopa100 Thank goodness.....California is not the only one....
As a California born and raised native now living in Utah, I AGREE! The 91 and 10 freeways seems to always be under construction.
I love construction site/vehicle related sets
This set is awesome, looks like it fits well in your city.
Hi Alix it's a cool set diffrent as it a building bean built more so than a. Complete moduler as most other moduler s are....I am collecting the part just to do the Crain build .for my city I love the Crain.
Nice looking set Alex
Such a great set, thanks for the review. Does the crane hit the bugle when turning? I have it planned for this placement as well, but didn’t think of the crane motion.
Impressive set and I like the placement there. I'm just wondering how you are going to keep the dust off that one.
looks great in your city with taller buildings
Great set, and an entertaining video. Can this set be used with other modulars? It doesn't look like the normal width?
Don’t know why but this set reminds me of the intro for the Silicon Valley tv series
Honestly, there’s no need for a Construction Site when we always build Lego Sets such as Downtown Diner, Jazz Club, A-Frame Cabin, Loop Coaster, Roller Coaster and the Airport.
The thing I like about this is that it looks like a fun playset. Other modular buildings are terrible playsets.
Nice set , but i like the crane no 7905 bit more , its higher !
Dam I wish I got this. Unfortunately couldn’t figure it how to do it.
320 bucks?!?!?! sure, LEGO, grab your hands on the fan stuff.
Looks brilliant, do u think the Eiffel Tower could be added to your city
I believe it could, but it would require a rebuild of the area it is added to. I am keeping that option open as I continue to rebuild my city.
@@alexnunes downtown might look nice with it in
At the start it looks like the gunship is sticking out of it
"Steep price" is an understatement, its over $600 USD on bricklink 😔
What do you mean that Lego has now made the designer program “official”? Does that mean they’ll be mass producing the sets from now on? And if so, how’s it different from Lego Ideas?
Think of this as Bricklink's version of LEGO IDEAS. The main difference is the designs are crowdfunded and only 20,000 units of each are produced. They are not sold in LEGO stores. Here's the link on all the details. www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/main.page
@@alexnunes oh ok, I misunderstood what you meant by “official.” I thought something had changed with how they were producing and distributing these sets.
Thank you for your video. I have not seen your city in quite a while. It has really grown. Looks great. I had a construction site in my older Maryville with a crane. The crane was an official LEGO set, but I made it taller. One of the fun things I did with that site was put a LEGO tree on the top of the building to show it had reached full height. This is what is done with real construction sites. Your city is looking great.
Hey, Mark! Lot's has changed for sure, and it continues to change all the time as you know. I want to say that I recall seeing that crane. Maryville is easily one of the biggest LEGO cities out there.
I can do something like that in BrickLink Studio
Hello!
Hey!
Six minifigures
That darn crane operator got away from me. Thanks for pointing that out!
700 on ebay right now...
