I dont think think there’s a single game menu that hits as hard as NFSU. Having the game boot up to “BADADUMDUMDUM” with the car rolling down the tunnel in the slightly tilted show off angle was so damn tough.
Pc box art was very cool. The images of cars going really fast with all that motion blur and the night city in the CD case wallpaper is so nostalgic to me. I also like how it's embroided on the front cover.
Man the memories from this game… my uncle owned a car dealership at the time that I’d go to every day after school and my cousins, dad, uncles, & me were always grinding this game and customizing cars. The soundtrack was so lit starting from the opening song that used to be an adrenaline rush. Underground 2 took all the great from the 1st game and added to it!
Not only that but the Soundtrack is Fire, "And the hero will Drown" By Story of the Year, "Kimosabe" By BT, "Two-Lane Blacktop" by Rob Zombie and "Broken Promises" by Element Eighty
I might get crucified for saying this but I prefer the soundtrack from Underground 2 over the original. Queens of the Stone Age, Unwritten Law, I'm not even a fan of Rise Against but I like their song on that soundtrack too.
This is my first game I've ever played back in 2004. My childhood was a ricer and those damn event 95 and 103 really gives me trouble back in the day unless just downgrade your car to stock.
3:29 Lmao yea I turned off that song and would always try to press X as fast as possible so I didn't have to hear it. Greatest racing game of all time. Still holds up...on PC.
i remember when this game came out in 2001 i can not even explain in words how awesome this game was i had need for speed underground 1 installed on my pc this game really hit me hard i remember first 30 minutes i played this game drag mode was just insane this game really gives me chills i cannot even explain how crazy was it to have my honda civic with blue underglow lights drag race this game really gives me a very creepy vibe because the night street racing looks so realistic and like just give me a lot of nostalgia does anybody think this game was way ahead of its time? like to be honest like having your car in endless tunnel gives me chills and this game really hit me hard spiritually. to be honest i think this game was too much
and to be honest what makes this game so scary is how the racing happens at night like races look way to real and some of the cars have a mind of their own nfsu1 really one of those games that really give off a creepy vibe I think its also very crazy how the turns have a red neon that has 3 or 5 modes to show a driver where to turn is also really give a nostalgic vibe I think nfsu2 was very fun but how I would rate it nfsu1 was 100% perfect how the whole game was just designed really there is just no comparison to any other games I played I would say this game is definitely a 10\10 on a scale of gameplay really just the loading screen give crazy vibe because like I don't know many people never played nfsu1 and to me that's crazy also I think this game is very underrated almost nobody even talks about it anymore and rarely see anybody play this game I mean this was really one of those games that really hit you hard also the city would have like a very nostalgic vibe I don't know but my favorite was always the sprint races where the roads were just really cool I think this game really just very cool
i remember just having this game when I was around five years old and just really brings back a lot of good memories I mean I completed this game over 5 times just really this just game is very big part of my life I don't know I think nfsu2 was very awesome to like even 2 was cool how you could change every part of your car and nfsu2 was really crazy because the modifications you can do to your car are crazy like nfsu2 has some really crazy back light give off a crazy vibe I remember the vynils they had in this game were ultra cool I mean I would rate nfsu1 100% crazy and nfsu2 90% crazy really just changing those back lights and front lights on your car made it very crazy looking and this game has a very scary vibe to it
Actually I don't think not having an open world is an issue. Always liked underground a lot more than underground 2, specifically because it doesn't have an open world. It is especially true nowadays where 99% of the open world games are just bland, empty, boring open worlds.
The sense of speed, handling and graphics are much better in Underground. I think they had to dumb them down to get free roam to work on weak hardware.
I remember the GameCube graphics looking better back then. My 55" TV just doesn't seem to display it as cleanly. I still love the game and even play from time to time but NFSU2 was so much better with the open world.
The GameCube output resolution is 640x480. Without an upscaling solution like an MClassic or quality built in TV upscaling it will look bad. The average tube tv from the GameCube era was 4:3 square aspect and 32” in size, so those games usually look pretty bad on new massive widescreen TVs.
When the jump cam starts at the beginning of the jump if you pause and unpause the game real quick it takes it back to normal view too incase you want to still have the cam on 😄
When in my town, all school dropouts dope dealers had a tuner car. The cops finally understood the pattern : he has a tuner car = statically more chance he is a criminal 😂
I’m just waiting on the day where NFS goes full Fast and the Furious. They tried it with Payback but if they can manage how over the top F&F is, it could revive the series for sure. F&F movies are dumb but they’d make for great video games
The best nfs ever made till this day, the best car handling physics, straight to the point races, driving tracks are the best ones as well, 3 game-modes - drifting made in this game is better than anywhere else. Modern nfs can't even have drifting physics due to frostbite engine they've been built on, basically I just play them for 30 minutes and never come back again / refund, because you can't play this trash after trying u1,u2. A big step back and who would have throught that EA blackbox would make a game so great it will remain the best one after 20 years, new developers don't even understand how to make car handling good.
I was joking 😅 people used to get made fun of for slapping random decals all over their cars but not actually doing any performance upgrades, it was a riff on that.
Well you might want to pick that puke up and put it back into your mouth because I'm about to blow your mind, brother: ruclips.net/video/6kJag2_oXvU/видео.htmlsi=P1QOwolpbb3NTyss
TO THE WINDOWWW 🪟 TO THE WALL 🧱
thanks for watching 😏
I'm definitely about to be driving around to the nfs underground 2 soundtrack 😂 😎
Dude i'm new to your channel and I love your commentary. Subbed
TIL THE SWEAT DROPS DOWN AND FALLS

Peak early 00s
HOUSE REAL BIG was close enough. Or NINE THOU MW 2005
I can not describe what I feel while looking at this game's cover
Where I come from it's called arousal.
I thought I was the only one 😊
At Blockbuster ?

Damn, 20 years old. Those dodge neon with neon will be in history museum & classes 🤣
They would probably blow up during transport to the museum, the crash test rating on those MFs was like -4 stars.

Quarter by Fuel as well
And Glitterball by FC Kahuna
excellent trip down memory lane. Cant wait for the next one. :D
If I ever end up buying a house (doesn’t seem like I’d be ever possible) I will 100% buy the underground arcade machine, freaking love this game
This is my first game I've ever played back in 2004. My childhood was a ricer and those damn event 95 and 103 really gives me trouble back in the day unless just downgrade your car to stock.

The xbox version still looks okay but yeah the PC version is superior.

This was in 2003
NSFU and NSFU2 were the bomb. We used to have contests on who can score the highest speed on a car in a race.
I still own this for my GameCube and still play it from time to time. I will have to give the remaster a try soon.
I just remember reliving Paul Walker's R34 bridge jump over another car.....Good Times man
Great video.
I started with a Peugot 206, and finished with a Peugot 206 baby!
I thought that MF was a Geo Metro when I was a kid 💀💀💀
I like to give you the title of امیر
The reflections of this game were the 2000's RTX
I honor this game by completing it last night on Good Friday

Need for Speed Underground >>>>> Need for Speed Underground 2

Facts.

I always fancy the widebody integra
From memory they removed drift or drag from underground 2 which was the best parts, so part 1 is still the best
Drift and drag is present in nfsu2
Never played growing up but just bought it and now am looking for a ps2 haha
When in my town, all school dropouts dope dealers had a tuner car. The cops finally understood the pattern : he has a tuner car = statically more chance he is a criminal 😂
I play them for the plot 😂, or at least I did when the Ryan cooper theory was a big thing

No.. Just... No
Best game ever made. They need to remake it but just update, don't try and change anything except maybe add a few cars.
I miss my Mazda MX-5

I started on hot pursuit 2 I think imabiy a 360 just to play most wanted
Wait, what... why am I learning now that the decals added horsepower (as I dust off my disc's for a rematch)
I was joking 😅 people used to get made fun of for slapping random decals all over their cars but not actually doing any performance upgrades, it was a riff on that.
Clarification the OG Xbox version also had online play!
the fact that you still have the receipt for this game lol bruh you’re a real psychopath lol that’s fuckin awesome tho 👍
If one could drive perfectly, the Miata could win you the entire game.
Legendary ea BLACKBOX 😂
i play nfsu on a 2003 acer windows xp pc
Love these videos! The only thing that made me feel abit ill was how Peugeot was pronounced 🤮🤮

..my geed up honda
How does one play this on PC in 2025?
Midnight club was better but I fucked with need for speed too
EA has done a lot of shitty things but what I'll never forgive them for is what they did to Black Box.
No idea what a poojeaut is
Too short...
Great rapper.
