If I have missed anything or got anything wrong while researching this video, let me know in the comments. I will edit this pinned comment with additional information or corrections if need be! • The Iceberg sheet was made by *DeFy!* • MW '05 Cops screaming in pain: There is one more voiceline that got cut from the game and is only heard in the PS2 demo, this time actually sounding more like the iceberg described. Have a listen here: ruclips.net/video/-T4PmJdBRQo/видео.html And another one right here: ruclips.net/video/4ZtOf7rz-w4/видео.html Thanks to Splash45 and Sergeantct920 for finding these! • BMW/Ford Antenna: The PS2 demo does actually feature a Ford Mustang (rival race against Rog), which comes with an antenna that got removed along side the M3's antenna as discussed in the video. • NFS Website attack: Some more people remembering the attack came forward saying that the site has suffered additional DDOS attacks which shut down the site for at least a week. The motivation behind the attack seemed to be that the attacker(s) were unhappy with the bad support on the site. • NFS World died in 2013: World actually got shut down in 2015, but it has been "dead" since 2013 as that year had the final official update for the game. • GrandTheftAero MW2 Cancelled video: A video on Most Wanted 05's removed content was in the works which had a sneak peak of Most Wanted 2 related content, but due to legal reasons has been on hold since 2018.
I distinctly remember the vinyl similar to the BMW Motorsport vinyl from the PSP port of NFSMW'05, as well as the street ver is used in the game also used by Ronnie with the famous blue and silver livery.
I'm very surprised their was hardly anything regarding NFS Carbon, this NFS I would argue had the most cut content due to EVIL of EA, was my favorite NFS game. Also how NFS Undercover was suppose to be NFS The Chase.
EA business model: Smol studio did good EA puts them under their wing EA puts high schedules on them Smol studio puts out rushed product Bad sales Smol studio went down
Always thought it was pretty strange that Toyota tried to distance itself from NFS. When you think about it, if it wasn’t for media pertaining to Street Racing (NFS, Fast and Furious) it’s possible that their cars wouldn’t have the same affection from so many people who grew up with that media.
they probably saw it as hurting their bottom dollar, because there was a pretty big issue back when NFSU and NFSU2 came out where completely stock civics and supras were being pulled over by idiot cops out of the assumption that they were racers.
50:22 There actually DOES exist sound files like that, though they went unused. There exists a video that covers every unused file they could find. The video was unfortunately deleted, but re-uploaded later by someone else. Here it is. ruclips.net/video/rZvBRy-8xxY/видео.html It happens at the 13:00 mark
@@Crash_Knight I know. They went over the top with that. Still, considered how hard you can smash into the cruisers, even causing them to go into a barrel roll, it'd fit well.
Actually, I don't think these sounds are unused, because I sometimes heard that when I hit the cop or disable their car without speedbreaker. (Even when I play the final release version)
I found this while playing nfs mw 2005, during a chase, I heard a officer mentioning about a female drive they took in custody and they also said that " she says that she is a undercover officer". I noticed it because in the final cut scene we get to know that the charecter mia who helped us in the whole game was an undercover cop. I found it out recently. I don't have the evidence for this because I didn't expect this to come. I am sorry and also glad that I could share this info with u.
@@TheBreakingBenny isnt nfs most wanted protagonist is also a murderer. i mean its less direct though, but surely nobody wouldn't be injured or die from all those crashes in all the chases we have done
I'm actually surprised about "Ryan is the protagonist of BB era" is that deep, considering Russian community believes that it's actual fact, not a theory xd
@@SSCEurobeat Oh daymn i think i have to replay the whole of black box NFS games from starting from underground 1 These day's undercover also get's better and better thanks to the awesome modding community.
@@kaedeschulz5422 My personal headcanon for the timeline of the games would be underground 1, underground 2 (nowhere else to put em and they would setup the street racing background), carbon prologue story (ryan runs off with the supra), prostreet (suggested by the supra left in the parking lot), most wanted (how else would he get a race special m3 gtr like that) then into carbon after prologue I recently replayed the games like this and it sorta made sense, especially with all the mentions from the other characters (the only guy who contradicts this would be rog who mentions you coming from night racing, but I think that he just wouldn't know about you doing legal racing in the meantime)
MW/Carbon Crossover Theory: Mia was originally meant to play a large part in the story of NFS Carbon, but this didn't end up coming to fruition (potentially due to Josie Maron being unavailable). Let me explain the events in chronological order (SPOILER WARNING): -The race with the crew bosses in the story intro of Carbon happens. At the end of the race, Darius sets you up by making it look like you ran away with the money. -Mia is sent out to track you down to recover the money. In order to figure out what happened to the money, she hooks up with you and helps you out. -At some point, she hears your side of the story and realizes that someone else has the money she's looking for. -During her time with you in Rockport, her objective changes from obtaining the missing money to taking down the Blacklist with your help. -Once they're taken down, Mia helps you get away in the final pursuit so that she can use your help in Palmont to find out who has the missing money.
Mia is a undercover operator not a bounty hunter so its not posible There is a theory of mine she became the rockport sergant after cross was fired for risking the whole PD to bust you the player
Considering the race with the Supra where you win the fake money happened before the events of MW, I don't think Mia could have any role in there. Besides, she's part of Rockport's PD, not Palmont's.
i was wondering this too, i searched all through level 8 of the video but Eden never talked about it...mystery city is one of the best theories of nfs imo even if in the end, mystery city is just beta palmont city - it's really nice to hear what people think about it and the feeling of a mystery city present in the map just makes NFS Carbon more eerie, i love it.
Here's something iceberg-worthy i think! In MW 05 there is an object in the game that has an odd texture... the cardboard box object littered throughout the map. If you stop and get close to it, you can actually see some interesting text written on it. One side says: "EAX AH: Colleen or Cindy" | A tag on the box that reads: "EAX-8061 QTY: 1 A whole bunch of stuff there is no way you will be able to read once it's reduced" (haha well obviously somebody didn't reduce it down enough lol) Another side says: "Andy a{nd his) mountain bike were climbing up a hill when all of a sudden a little turtle jumped right in his way. Andy didn't want to run over the poor little turtle so he stopped, picked it up, and (carried) it down the mountain. What a nice guy that andy is." idk what any of this means but it sure is weird.
I found the same thing in NFS Carbon. That's probably because a lot of textures in Carbon were imported from MW: www.wykop.pl/cdn/c3201142/comment_xW87FcgT1uu9gT6pUFSykb4SLXEOVkwJ.jpg
For one of the trainers I had to make for a company we had a bunch of QR codes in the reference photos. We used to link silly things to the QR codes like "why are you scanning this? Get back to training" and "Never gonna give you up." When you need to come up with text, but don't know what to put, you make stuff up fairly quick.
I think that Rog being a first blacklist opponent wouldnt exclude him from helping out later. There is also that story beat where Razor alludes to us meeting Rog in jail or him screwing Rog over the same way he did us. Could be so that in final game Razor took 15th spot from Rog and took his Mustang, hence him driving a Pontiac instead.
I suspect it could be an unfinished story concept. That initially, Rog had a larger role in the story but it was scrapped because it would have taken a lot of work and would have stood out. Like, Rog would be the only Blacklist member besides Razor to exist beyond bring an opponent. If Rog had very few lines after that, it would have seemed odd to the player. And "fixing" this would have required too much work
This iceberg is awesome. NFS Carbon really is a treasure trove of mysteries, conspiracies and cut content. Kinda saddened almost none were metioned. Le Samurai Crew, Mystery City, Canyon Free Roam to name a few.
ever since I found out about Le Samurai yesterday (or was it 2 days ago? Not sure) I've been fascinated by them. Like seriously, as far as I've seen little is known about them outside of their logo and a vinyl, but clearly they must've been big in early concepts since their logo can be found all across Palmont City (like while playing I randomly found it in Shady Pine in Silverton along with Hills Borough in Fortuna. Those are on complete opposite ends of the map!) but I'm not sure what you mean by Mystery City though. What's that about?
@@plazasta mystery city must've been the city view from a canyon (i forgot which one) that doesn't line up with the position of the canyon itself and palmont city, so in that overlooking view, there shouldn't be any city visible
@@Highrollinhunter and it gets more weird because there was going to be a variant to Empire City but it was left at mid development. nfs.fandom.com/wiki/TR02B There's also videos of that TR02B track
@@Frank9532 I had always wondered about this! NFS 3 always had two versions of each track and two songs for it (Like Hometown & Country Woods sharing the songs Hydrus 606 and Little Sweaty Sow). But Empire City didn't seem to have a counterpart track and yet it had two music tracks set up for it (Flimsy & Warped) and a strange roadblock by the church.
This is honestly not really much evidence since recent nfs games all use presets from prostreet Like, just look at nfs payback/heat vinyl selection, most presets all trace back to prostreet, even "crew" names (im guessing some logos in nfsps refer to in-game crews/teams) repeat a lot in the vinyl section of recent games, nfsps art is all over new games
18:22 i actually just recently discovered the existence of the airport on the map while playing the pepega mod. I always wondered why the highway "loops" the way it does and seems to stick out of the highrises onto an open field at that point. I stopped to look over the barriers and sure enough the buildings in the background looked like airport terminals. Great to see it appear on here with a map drawing and a small mention!
Hi there. I wanted to elaborate a bit on the final theory you mentioned, about the cancelled MW2 video from GrandTheftAero (from my own personal recollection). Yes, there *WAS* a video in the works at the time (around 2018) on both an MW2 video and a cut content video for the original Most Wanted video, and I was originally pitched to serve as the voiceover for both videos (I was formerly known as HGCentral, who voiced the cut content videos for Underground and Underground 2.) The videos ultimately didn't come to fruition for multiple reasons, part of it resulting from time constraints from my memory's sake. I was going through a very rough patch in my personal life at the time of needing to work on the voiceovers, and had to spend a lot of time re-working/editing the scripts as his grammar was often poor or needed a lot of fixing, which often cut into my other projects. From what I remember, he was originally planning to continue working on the video with another voiceover who was able to get the work done quicker at the time, but this ultimately never surfaced, as I believe he wanted to put the video on hold so that he could work on the history of Midnight Club video (which ended up becoming his final video on that channel). He's still around as far as I know, having made a couple videos from beta builds of Burnout 2 on his second channel, "SuperType1", however I have not been in contact with him for a couple years now. I sadly don't have the original scripts anymore, as its been lost to time due to the computer I was using at the time (including its hard drive) now being out of commission, however I was later told from other members with knowhow about the cut content in the Underground games that parts of what's mentioned in that video are apparently incorrect, moreso in the Underground 2 video. I'll try seeing if I can do some digging around for the scripts if they are still in my Discord chat logs with him or not. *And yes, I AM STILL INTERESTED in doing voiceovers for racing games, including (but not limited to) Need for Speed. I'd be more than happy to help with those looking for a voice for videos they may be working on.* :)
The guy has even another channel, for wich I don't remember the name, and is currently uploading some weird music remixes, yes, currently, the last one was like a week or so ago
@@grandtheftaero1 OMG the man himself, nice to see you around, I don't know what plans you have for this channel, but as you can see, people is waiting for you, hope you're doing well

@@lRedKill3r yeah this theory will be better suited to be called Most Wanted Iceberg. Because they mostly cover most wanted. Every single games have its own lore and mysteries. Even Heat have the unfinished Torres Story arc with Motorcycle expansion
I still have no idea why they didn't add San Juan into the map. Circuits in San Juan can be accessed through Quick Race, and the tutorial level occurs in San Juan as well. I just have no idea why they didn't add a connecting road to go there in free roam
I think some of this stuff would be fitting great in a second iceberg video: - San Juan city from NFS Carbon and how it was supposed to be part of the main city and story - Was Underground 1 city always named "Olimpic"? - The distant islands you can see in some coastal roads in Palmont (Carbon) - The functional but incomplete DLC cars from ProStreet (Challenger concept, Leon Cupra) - The "cut" crew graffities found in Palmont City (Fortuna tunnel near the University) - The radio stations (yes radio, not soundtrack music) scattered around Seacrest County in NFS HP2010 buldings. (Just drive with music volume at 0 and stop in almost any building (verified by my around the beach area and some forestal roads)) - Bikes were usable at some point in development of NFS Heat Most of this things were seen/experienced/investigated by me, while others are topics that were never answered in the OG NFS theories site.
Wasn't the reason und city was called Olympic city because it was supposed to be based in/ on NY? And because the towers were dropped they had to figure something around it. I vaguely remember reading an article years ago just before undergrounds release that 9/11 was the reason they didn't call it NY or featured the recognizable cities features instead they chose what we got.

Poor Rosalina. Internet was truly a mistake. I understand people like Speedyheart want to protect their stuff, but the NFSMW community is already quite small (due to no official modding SDK in... ever). IMO stuff should be open source and all it should have taken was his name in the credits of the mod.
Im not active within the NFS community but i completely agree. Time and time again i see the same people complaining about a small community chasing newcomers away. It just sucks for everyone involved. As someone who lightly mods myself but has quite a few modder friends, i can understand why he'd leave. Even if you make a shitty texture mod your still proud of your own time and effort. I hope they come back cuz a realism mod seems amazing too me!
About the cop screaming, I remember in one of Kuru's video, forget which one, there's basically a cop talking and then got rammed by an suv, and then he's basically like grunting, either that or I am just being paranoid
Actually i do remember a cop screaming though not in MW2005 but in NFS3HP, the PS1 version to be precise. I forced a cop to crash with a schoolbus and the audio file played, bear in mind this happened when i was a kid and haven't been able to recreate the scene due to not having time to play and also forgetting about NFS3HP alltogether for some years.
One thing that’s interesting is that the Mazda RX-7 from the opening cutscene of NFS ProStreet shows up as a racer in Need for Speed The Run on one of the later sections where the mob is shooting at you. I wonder who drives that car.. it’s weird that it’s not in ProStreet where the cutscene is from but it’s actually a racer in The Run.
That's the Battle Machine RX7. In the XB360 version of Undercover, if you complete a certain portion of the Challenge Series, you'll unlock a replica. It's faster than a Fully Upgraded, Purchased RX7 and can hit the game's cap of 250mph very quick. (If I'm not mistaken, it might also appear in Soapbox Race World? Can't remember.)
This shower thought about the Battle Machine RX7 gets even more interesting I'd say when you realize that ProStreet and The Run are the only 2 modified cars-themed NFS games so far to feature real-life locations in them (Iirc)
There are 3 books in Poland titled Most Wanted: Return to Rockport. They were sell unofficialy as continuation of plot of Most Wanted and Carbon. It was said that they were written by someone from NFS MW team but they turned out to be a fanfic and peroson who realised it faked her death.
Something for the iceberg: in NFSU2, if your car has lvl3 hydraulics you can bunnyhop using a collision model glitch. Go to one of the metal guardrails in the middle of the highway, press the front of your car against the rail, then spam your hydraulics until your car gets popped straight into the air.
I remember doing the moon level on NFS Nitro on my DSi. Now knowing that at that time there we're no footage or evidence of this level shocks me! Amazing video!
An explanation to why they removed the antenna on the M3 GTR: unlike most(if not all) of the NFS series cover cars, the M3 GTR is not a regular car just modified, it’s an actual race car built for the ALMS endurance series. As such, the car does not have the antenna, so it was cut from the game. Where the developers actually did the mistake, was in removing the antenna from the street version of the M3 GTR, as it should have it.
That was preety amazing to watch and learn the amount of hidden or little details there were within each NFS Game, an awesome video well put up though congratz dude
Thanks for including my revival of NFS Theories 😅 I done it in ladt month before shutdown after disagreements with admin of original NFS Theories and transferred people over to new forum with help of several friends :)
32:35-33:09 idk if this got told much or less on the internet so I'm just gonna leave this behind to let people know (and ofc you eden) In nfs prostreet, During race days you can sometimes hear the commentator talk about a left over car in the parking lot with the license plate nfs-crb. Which represents the possible blue Supra from Carbons prologue. (Just some unusual information, apologies if I messed something up in this letter 😅)
The Jeep cherokee SRT and 2nd gen Cadillac CTS-V too, they only appear in NFS World which is kinda strange since all the cars in world (except them and the BF Heroes trucks) were there becouse of the licences for the mainstream games.
@@strahinjastevic7480 The Cherokee (along with the rest of the scrapped 2012 cars) are part of the mobile version of MW2012. There's also a semblance of characterization of its blacklist. Why EA decided these things should be in the mobile port of all things, I don't know.
While I admire the massive work put into this video, I can't help but think this should be named "NFS UG/MW Iceberg". No mention of Porsche Unleashed/Porsche 2000 or other earlier games like High Stakes. Also no mention of how Motor City Online was supposed to be tagged as a NFS title, but was changed last minute. No mention of how MCO's final update had both the Mk 4 Supra and the Eclipse added as a "test" of content for the upcoming Underground game. The developers of both of the Shift games coming from the modding community (SimBin became Slightly Mad Studios), who after splitting in half ended up being part of the developers of Project Cars. The other half (Blimey! Games) developing BMW M3 Challenge. There are so many threads left un-pulled.....
I mean they did mention Hot Pursuit 2010, Heat and other post Carbon games. But yeah, I think this iceberg should've included things from the pre Underground games. Hell, there's things from the Underground games that weren't mentioned here (ie the cutscene OSTs).
@@iVenture01 So in the previous games razor was a random name for other racers? Yeah I can see that turn some of otherwise generic racer names into actual characters in later games to flesh out both the “current” game and previous ones.

I would like to shed some lights on the cop speeches part from the 350Z missing entry There are 5 other speeches unused in MW2005, those are: -Chrysler -Mini -Opel -A generic sedan and a Pagani which was somehow mixed up with the Volkswagen cop speeches There were 3 more but none of them have ever been recorded leaving the dispatcher tongue-tied when assigning those missing speeches to any car in the game
If you've listened to the helicopter voice lines, one of the voice lines goes something like "suspect is entering a no fly zone... Yeah by the airport" - which in turn will cause the helicopter to be forced to break visual contact with you. Also, there are voice lines and the player hitting the helicopter and causing it to say something like "we have been hit" and "dispatch are you reading this, we have just collided with the suspect vehicle". Furthermore, there a voice lines of the helicopter saying that the suspect has entered the Hospital and the Hotel And finally, if you noticed, in the final game, spikes are always either on the left or in the middle of the road. (excluding the roadblock that has spikes on both sides of the road but not the centre) however, there are voice lines that say that the spikes are specifically on the right, not by the helicopter, but by the units that call out about them.
I've rammed or rammed by the chopper a handful of time in the span of like, 15 years?(most cases happened on the highway between the stadium and the split tunnels near Rosewood, going uphill at high speed) I think those lines do get played if that happens but I could be wrong
Eden, I would like to say thanks. I remembered playing a rally game when I was really little which was free in a cereal box. I couldn't remember the title, until now. It was NFS V Rally 2.
im so addicted to nfs mw2005's cut content and seeing an iceberg video of need for speed at all simply made my day. thank you for this video i subscribed
You're not the only one who can't find the audio of mw2005 cop yelling in pain. I had something similar, but never could trigger it again. Basically went head on with a heat 5 cop while using nitrous and an audio clips plays with the cop saying "I... I can't... (Then yell out in obvious pain, louder than the current audio clips we know, but not screaming in pain)" I can't for the love of me remember if I was playing the ps2 version or PC as this happened to me roughly a decade ago. Also great video, I did learn about a fair few new things here. I'm kinda surprised Carbon wasn't really talked about more.
@Dawid XCX Please read my comment again AND actually watch said video yourself, cause those cut lines are not even close to what I got, besides heat 5 corvette cops don't exist in said demo.
Wow! I used to be a MW modder and this brought me right back to ~2015. If you ever make a sequel or you're just bored, here are some other things you can research: - GTRCars Forums - BMW M3 GTR's yellow headlights - UG2/MW debug menus - MW 1.4 Community Patch - Cancelled spinner rims in MW - Arushan's disappearance - MW traffic vehicles that appear only in certain scenes (ambulance/SUV etc) I can go into more detail about these if you want, so let me know if you'd like me to share!
The part I've always been a part of is the character Ryan cooper and how he was in nfs undercover at the start with the police saying we caught the suspect first name ryan and never seems to take his helmet off and the whole theory that the player character played by you is Ryan cooper
I love the use of Undercovers ambient soundtrack! That's mainly why the game holds such a special place in my heart to this day. As a kid I would play the living hell out of this game and the music is what truly made it special. The atmosphere was also a great addition to the game and just fits so well with the music. Sadly the unpolished handling was present. Oh and don't get me started on the cops, they we're damn rough and especially their "busted scenes".
I kinda wish that you would have included the legendary Cheatby999. The guy who has done some incredible stuff that to this day hasn't yet been replicated. I remember following a thread back in the day that delved into this and especially the pilotable police helicopter in mw. If I can recall correctly they talked about needing to have a Chinese copy of the game and a special injector from some Chinese forum. I'm pretty sure that "Most Wanted Terrorism" was done by the same guy or a guy from the same group as Cheatby999
I hope that they would change the name of the game to need for speed fairhaven or something like that if they do a remaster (anyway I loved nfs most wanted 2012 )
Nice video man, really well produced and enjoyable to watch, and I actually learned some stuff about NFS I didn't knew before. About the MW police chatter though, having played through the original game countless times, all the way back in 2007 on my PS2 and then later on PC, I can't recall any instance of cops 'screaming in pain' when you hit them. I played through this game so many times I've probably heard all the cop radio chatter there is in the game. I believe that's most probably just a hoax
When I clicked this the main thing I had in my head the ENTIRE time was the Ryan cooper story plot (from underground to undercover and I was getting really worried it would be overlooked… but you didn’t let me down. Thank you haha.
OH another thing; “other than this there is no other proof of Ryan cooper being the protagonist of the other games” In most wanted, one of the arrest cutscenes says the drivers name is Ryan, or Ryan cooper.
I remember there being a leaked concept of a game set in post 9/11 NY where you play as terrorists. The concept artwork, a concept video and some plot threads exist. This was conceptualized either post most wanted or during undercover's creation by a small group of devs. As Blackbox used to conceptualize early on because of the hectic schedules, this is extremely possible to have been a grittier undercover or a sequel. The reasons behind cancellation seems to be the obvious moral issues and age rating. I'm also surprised they never mentioned the cut branching narratives that undercover was supposed to have. This has been confirmed and also explains the incohesion of some of the cutscenes in undercover. Great vid man, loved the Undercover and Shift music.
34:02 Wait, Ryan cooper was supposed to be an analogy of Brian o connor, A K A Paul walker. If paul walker was suposed to be the hero at MW, that makes the theory that ryan cooper is the actual hero from all the games.
As far as I know, the dude from Underground 1 and 2 was named Brian, and from Most Wanted to Undercover, Rian Cooper, they were 2 different guys who apparently knew each other (presumably because for their achievements), and the main distinctive point is that Rian can perform the "SpeedBreaker" and Brian can't, that also explains why in Carbon Own The City, you don't have this hability, as in the spin off, the main character might or might not be the same as in the Underground series, but given some general points of comparison, we could asume it is, and with this now we have the full name Brian Rogers (as is stated that his brother is Michael Rogers, known as Mick)
I'm surprised that not everyone knew about the moon race in nitro I played it and it gave me a headache to pass it, due to the gravity, short time and all the jumps in the levelto beat the race among the challenges of the game, you can find two or three in the moon level as espected, both are so freakin difficult to do it's funny cuz, to get into the moon, you must pass the special level of every difficult of the game it will be building a rocket station, once that you get that rocket station done, you can go to the moon, and have a headache like me xD
Thats what I'm saying nfs 2015 just screams *soft reboot* of und2. It did lack alot of customization but it also got more if that makes sense. I just hate how nfs forgot about the sculpting from carbon. That feature rn would let us players literally redesign cars. Imagine if a team was able to take bits and pieces from each nfs game to add into the next one. Pursuits from every nfs that had cops, weaponry for cops and drivers from hp2010 and hp2, the nightlife and neon glows of und- und2 including carbon and nfs 2015, customization and parts from every nfs to current. I'd love to see them wide bodykits from und, mw and carbon come back. Very little of what I said can be seen in nfs heat. Problem is that they gave up on it because of ea. FUCK EA
I believe Speedyheart showed in one of her videos that Carbon was planned to be UG3 at some stage. I think it was a leftover string you could see in the .exe if you opened it in a hex editor.
18:54 The BMW motorsport vinyl are actually used in the PSP version of nfs most wanted as Razors vehicle in the final black list of the game instead of the iconic blue BMW m3 gtr
Haha wow, I didn't expect the old NFS Theories board to become an iceberg type of thing at this point. How far it's come. Seeing as I was majorly active in it during its entire lifetime (including being a moderator for it for its entire lifespan I think?) it's so weird to look back on it especially in an iceberg type of thing. For those wondering - BroilerTM on the old forum was me. It's a shame that ProBoards changed their formatting so that deleted users just show up as "Deleted", meaning it's impossible to fully traceback which threads I've made, but it's such a huge trip down memory lane.
Listening to stuff like this makes me wonder what happened to the Most Wanted Community Patch 1.4. I think the guys name was ArthuroPlayerOne or something like that. He promised a lotta cool changes (most of which we got in extra options a few years later). I followed the threads he posted but one day he straight up vanished. I searched him up and he had some small activity in 2020 on the nfscars forums but the project is still gone. Kinda makes me wonder what happened to it (tho I think that it was just merged with the extra options mod)
About the last mystery of Grand Theft Aero making a video about Most Wanted's cut content, he was working on a video shortly after the Midnight Club video, even releasing a trailer for it, but the video got cancelled, I remember asking him about it and he said it basically was cancelled, so there's that.
I think the most obscure thing in the NFS community is the Return to Rockport book novel, that tells the story of Hero whom they named Thomas Spidowski It's a book that's made by a polish man, and apparently he was the one "responsible" for the story for MW and Carbon I'm quite disappointed at this Ice berg, since it doesn't have everything that people didn't know, and most of these that are mentioned are the things that fans already know, unless they are very new to the series
That was proven to be fake. The book was not made by a man but by a woman, and she wasn't responsible for the story of those games If you really want to know more about this, there is a post about it on a polish NFS site, as well as a thread on NFST forum
I love racing , Need for speed and yeah I do love watching Icebergs ( specially disturbing videos or scary / internet mystery ). It's interesting to see NFS Iceberg. Personally I expected something sinister like maybe something disturbing or stomach turning about our childhood favorite but it was just some nice mysteries and secrets/unknowns.
51:11 What I do remember is hearing something like "I got Hit! and I'm falling back!" or "I got hit, but I'm still on track!" I might be confused with 2012
A bit late, but in Most Wanted 2005 I remember a cop soundclip of him screaming in pain. If I remember correctly, it was during a pursuit breaker, I think the gas station? I donno, maybe it was my imagination as a kid or just bad memory all together, but you weren't alone in that.
NFS Shift so underrated tbh i almost forgot shift was a thing and was even in the nfs franchise, but i had shift 2 unleashed and that shii was bussin bussin
The Brian skyline replica might be referring to the fact that for just about every need for speed game there’s a Brian’s skyline replica mod for it, but idk
Nah, the owner/builder of Brian’s Skyline for 2f2f was hired by EA to help design what would later be Eddie’s Skyline, he helped EA build it and did a giveaway on MTV of the real life version of the car
The moon level in NFS nitro was one I loved, it was surprisingly fun, although I never realised it had such strict unlock requirements, I just remember unlocking it after not long playing, I guess I've just always been pretty decent at racing games lol

MW/Carbon Crossover Theory: Mia was originally meant to play a large part in the story of NFS Carbon, but this didn't end up coming to fruition (potentially due to Josie Maron being unavailable). Let me explain the events in chronological order (SPOILER WARNING):
-The race with the crew bosses in the story intro of Carbon happens.
This makes a lot of sense
This makes f*cking sense
the thing is that mia is an undercover cop
Mia is a undercover operator not a bounty hunter so its not posible
There is a theory of mine she became the rockport sergant after cross was fired for risking the whole PD to bust you the player
Considering the race with the Supra where you win the fake money happened before the events of MW, I don't think Mia could have any role in there. Besides, she's part of Rockport's PD, not Palmont's.
I see Mystery City mentioned in Level 8 but wasn't talked about it.
i was wondering this too, i searched all through level 8 of the video but Eden never talked about it...mystery city is one of the best theories of nfs imo
even if in the end, mystery city is just beta palmont city - it's really nice to hear what people think about it and the feeling of a mystery city present in the map just makes NFS Carbon more eerie, i love it.
Here's something iceberg-worthy i think!
In MW 05 there is an object in the game that has an odd texture... the cardboard box object littered throughout the map. If you stop and get close to it, you can actually see some interesting text written on it.
One side says: "EAX AH: Colleen or Cindy" | A tag on the box that reads: "EAX-8061 QTY: 1 A whole bunch of stuff there is no way you will be able to read once it's reduced" (haha well obviously somebody didn't reduce it down enough lol)
Another side says: "Andy a{nd his) mountain bike were climbing up a hill when all of a sudden a little turtle jumped right in his way. Andy didn't want to run over the poor little turtle so he stopped, picked it up, and (carried) it down the mountain. What a nice guy that andy is."
idk what any of this means but it sure is weird.
Very strange, and very cool! Devs like to put down weird bits of placeholder text on all kinds of stuff in games, had no idea NFS had it as well.
I found the same thing in NFS Carbon. That's probably because a lot of textures in Carbon were imported from MW:
www.wykop.pl/cdn/c3201142/comment_xW87FcgT1uu9gT6pUFSykb4SLXEOVkwJ.jpg
This is the story of the black edition 3 vinyl
andy seems like a nice guy
And "fixing" this would have required too much work
I'm considering this cannon from now on...

NFS Carbon really is a treasure trove of mysteries, conspiracies and cut content. Kinda saddened almost none were metioned.

ever since I found out about Le Samurai yesterday (or was it 2 days ago? Not sure) I've been fascinated by them. Like seriously, as far as I've seen little is known about them outside of their logo and a vinyl, but clearly they must've been big in early concepts since their logo can be found all across Palmont City (like while playing I randomly found it in Shady Pine in Silverton along with Hills Borough in Fortuna. Hi there.
I wanted to elaborate a bit on the final theory you mentioned, about the cancelled MW2 video from GrandTheftAero (from my own personal recollection).
Yes, there *WAS* a video in the works at the time (around 2018) on both an MW2 video and a cut content video for the original Most Wanted video, and I was originally pitched to serve as the voiceover for both videos (I was formerly known as HGCentral, who voiced the cut content videos for Underground and Underground 2.)
The videos ultimately didn't come to fruition for multiple reasons, part of it resulting from time constraints from my memory's sake.
I'd be more than happy to help with those looking for a voice for videos they may be working on.* :)
you should probably message him again to get the video back on track
The guy has even another channel, for wich I don't remember the name, and is currently uploading some weird music remixes, yes, currently, the last one was like a week or so ago

I expect to hear something from Carbon. Something about San Juan, LeSamurai crew, Nikki being the Final Boss with Endgame and etc
I expected to hear something about NFS Rivals (such as the Zephyr's death theories) and No Limits (such as the multiple references to other games)
At the end i was like "what a good 10 minute video" then i saw the time, it was so interesting that it make me lose track of time lmao
I think some of this stuff would be fitting great in a second iceberg video:
- San Juan city from NFS Carbon and how it was supposed to be part of the main city and story
- Was Underground 1 city always named "Olimpic"?
- The distant islands you can see in some coastal roads in Palmont (Carbon)
- The functional but incomplete DLC cars from ProStreet (Challenger concept, Leon Cupra)
- The "cut" crew graffities found in Palmont City (Fortuna tunnel near the University)
- The radio stations (yes radio, not soundtrack music) scattered around Seacrest County in NFS HP2010 buldings. (Just drive with music volume at 0 and stop in almost any building (verified by my around the beach area and some forestal roads))
- Bikes were usable at some point in development of NFS Heat
Most of this things were seen/experienced/investigated by me, while others are topics that were never answered in the OG NFS theories site.

The developers of both of the Shift games coming from the modding community (SimBin became Slightly Mad Studios), who after splitting in half ended up being part of the developers of Project Cars. The other half (Blimey! Games) developing BMW M3 Challenge. There are so many threads left un-pulled.....
Damn! 😵 that’s insane
Ikr
I mean they did mention Hot Pursuit 2010, Heat and other post Carbon games. But yeah, I think this iceberg should've included things from the pre Underground games. Hell, there's things from the Underground games that weren't mentioned here (ie the cutscene OSTs).
Fun Fact: Razor has always been in NFS before Most Wanted 😉
Elaborate
@@Johnny3Batony go look at the name of the racers in the old need for speeds
@@iVenture01 So in the previous games razor was a random name for other racers? Yeah I can see that turn some of otherwise generic racer names into actual characters in later games to flesh out both the “current” game and previous ones.
@@RyoLeo it's in the very first game
He is not a car guy 😂
got this recommended.
i am prepared for the iceberg Eden.
RIP Brad Lawless, no kid deserves to die that young from an illness. Hope his dad knew his kid was looking down on him proud of what his dad did for work ❤️
I would like to shed some lights on the cop speeches part from the 350Z missing entry
There are 5 other speeches unused in MW2005, those are:
-Chrysler
-Mini
-Opel
-A generic sedan
and a Pagani which was somehow mixed up with the Volkswagen cop speeches
There were 3 more but none of them have ever been recorded leaving the dispatcher tongue-tied when assigning those missing speeches to any car in the game
Furthermore, there a voice lines of the helicopter saying that the suspect has entered the Hospital and the Hotel
And finally, if you noticed, in the final game, spikes are always either on the left or in the middle of the road.
We just collided with suspect vehicle is used, but apparently it was given the wrong trigger for some reason, but ultimately was still used
Eden, I would like to say thanks. I remembered playing a rally game when I was really little which was free in a cereal box. I couldn't remember the title, until now. It was NFS V Rally 2.
You know what else is forgotten? Motor City Online.
Wish I had a computer that was powerful enough back in the day..
im so addicted to nfs mw2005's cut content and seeing an iceberg video of need for speed at all simply made my day.
thank you for this video

I remember screaming cops in Need For Speed III Hot Pursuit and High Stakes, but not in Most Wanted...
It's possible that people's memories mix the games up since that can happen pretty easily with things
If Kuru never became a NFS streamer, he could be a horror commentary channel a la Chills
what I expected: theories, mysteries, etc
what I got: mods, mods, more mods
Wow! I used to be a MW modder and this brought me right back to ~2015. If you ever make a sequel or you're just bored, here are some other things you can research:
- GTRCars Forums
- BMW M3 GTR's yellow headlights
- UG2/MW debug menus
- MW 1.4 Community Patch
- Cancelled spinner rims in MW
- Arushan's disappearance
- MW traffic vehicles that appear only in certain scenes (ambulance/SUV etc)
I can go into more detail about these if you want, so let me know if you'd like me to share!
Sure we would like to know more interesting things like this! Do you also know something about Underground 1/2?
@@ronnie3626 Not a huge amount about UG/2, unfortunately :( I only really worked on MW stuff.
The part I've always been a part of is the character Ryan cooper and how he was in nfs undercover at the start with the police saying we caught the suspect first name ryan and never seems to take his helmet off and the whole theory that the player character played by you is Ryan cooper
I LOVE that you put shift 2 music in level 7 and 8!
i remember watching nfs theories about the mystery city and palmont being bigger than you think
As a guy who has only played mw05,underground and world. Most of this is pretty fresh
Another world player!! Miss that game everyday
I'm pretty sure that "Most Wanted Terrorism" was done by the same guy or a guy from the same group as Cheatby999
cant believe there is an iceberg for NFS too. Btw ,Most Wanted 2012 would get so much hate if it got remastered
I hope that they would change the name of the game to need for speed fairhaven or something like that if they do a remaster (anyway I loved nfs most wanted 2012 )
your video transitions to iceberg levels cause goosebumps. so atmospheric.
I enjoyed this video, but I'd love to see an iceberg for the NFS series that really represents the whole series
When I clicked this the main thing I had in my head the ENTIRE time was the Ryan cooper story plot (from underground to undercover and I was getting really worried it would be overlooked… but you didn’t let me down. Thank you haha.
OH another thing; “other than this there is no other proof of Ryan cooper being the protagonist of the other games”
In most wanted, one of the arrest cutscenes says the drivers name is Ryan, or Ryan cooper.
@@yfi62dortoh *Razor
I'm surprised that not everyone knew about the moon race in nitro
I played it and it gave me a headache to pass it, due to the gravity, short time and all the jumps in the levelto beat the race
among the challenges of the game, you can find two or three in the moon level
as espected, both are so freakin difficult to do
it's funny cuz, to get into the moon, you must pass the special level of every difficult of the game
it will be building a rocket station, once that you get that rocket station done, you can go to the moon, and have a headache like me xD
I think NFS 2015 actually might’ve been Underground 3. I remember seeing rumors that there would be a 3rd underground way before 2015 came out
Thats what I'm saying nfs 2015 just screams *soft reboot* of und2. FUCK EA
@@droopyaguacat3185 i mean..nfs 2015 had more realism in costumization
Great video. What a talented creator to be able to make these type of videos, your usual content and make mods for the games you love. Awesome job.
This entire iceberg is just MW 05, depressing.
Might as well call this the 'Most Wanted 05' iceberg
Listening to stuff like this makes me wonder what happened to the Most Wanted Community Patch 1.4. I think the guys name was ArthuroPlayerOne or something like that. He promised a lotta cool changes (most of which we got in extra options a few years later). I followed the threads he posted but one day he straight up vanished. I searched him up and he had some small activity in 2020 on the nfscars forums but the project is still gone. Kinda makes me wonder what happened to it (tho I think that it was just merged with the extra options mod)
CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE PEPEGA MOD TYSM
Brian's Skyline? That thing is just a model car used as a placeholder. The hero car of MW05 was an M3 GTR since the beginning.
About the last mystery of Grand Theft Aero making a video about Most Wanted's cut content, he was working on a video shortly after the Midnight Club video, even releasing a trailer for it, but the video got cancelled, I remember asking him about it and he said it basically was cancelled, so there's that.
I think the most obscure thing in the NFS community is the Return to Rockport book novel, that tells the story of Hero whom they named Thomas Spidowski
It's a book that's made by a polish man, and apparently he was the one "responsible" for the story for MW and Carbon
I'm quite disappointed at this Ice berg, since it doesn't have everything that people didn't know, and most of these that are mentioned are the things that fans already know, unless they are very new to the series
That was proven to be fake. The book was not made by a man but by a woman, and she wasn't responsible for the story of those games
If you really want to know more about this, there is a post about it on a polish NFS site, as well as a thread on NFST forum
@@kr19 Ah I see
I love racing , Need for speed and yeah I do love watching Icebergs ( specially disturbing videos or scary / internet mystery ).
It's interesting to see NFS Iceberg. Personally I expected something sinister like maybe something disturbing or stomach turning about our childhood favorite but it was just some nice mysteries and secrets/unknowns.
13:36 I believe that would be Unbound. it seriously looks like it
51:11 What I do remember is hearing something like "I got Hit! and I'm falling back!" or "I got hit, but I'm still on track!"
I might be confused with 2012
50:50
Unrelated to Most Wanted, but in Payback, when the cops are taken out in the modes that allow them, they do have a somewhat pain scream.
Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit (1998) bigfoot easter egg + TR02B secret track. Great video btw!
15:35 it doesn't getting cold. It's going "DEEP"
A bit late, but in Most Wanted 2005 I remember a cop soundclip of him screaming in pain. If I remember correctly, it was during a pursuit breaker, I think the gas station? I donno, maybe it was my imagination as a kid or just bad memory all together, but you weren't alone in that.
bonus:
The Burnout and NFS worlds are in the same universe: 🔥x6
Carbon E7's last appearance was in a MW2012 Beta Build: 🔥x5
What is Carbon E7 ?
@Alex R. which one ? The cruiser or the suv ?
Thanks for making this video :)
Good to see that CXMW is getting more attention from the community, really great
Wow this is an amazingly well-made and researched video. Thank you for this quality content.
NFS Shift so underrated tbh i almost forgot shift was a thing and was even in the nfs franchise, but i had shift 2 unleashed and that shii was bussin bussin
This video is a masterpiece! Thank you so much for the amount of time you spent making it! Amazing work! :)
