"THE BLACK HEART" Curveball on Lethal! [State of Decay 2]

- Update 34 is bringing a lot of wild curveballs to State of Decay 2, but this is definitely the toughest curveball I've encountered yet! Massively increases the health of a plague heart, nearly doubles its plague territory, and drains your fuel as long as you're there! It is quite a slog to take this heart out on Lethal.

My entire community was wiped out while I tried to take out the black heart (about 6 people). I HATE, HATE, HATE this curveball! I used 9 molotovs and 9 C4 charges and it STILL wouldn't go out. Zeds are insane too. I can't even silently fart without attracting them from 20 meters away. The Curveball update is fun, but The Black Heart is just VICIOUS. Not to mention that my black heart was also hiding in a small room in the Jolly Collie Tavern on the Cascade Hills map, so that was just another 'curveball' in a curveball. I literally cursed and screamed at this game (especially, because I lost 4 Red Talon recruits and I HATE grinding for Prestige Points in Daybreak). I'm so pissed off right now, I'm going to take a break from the game. This isn't healthy. I hope Undead Labs will alter this curveball a bit. I mean, a challenge is fine - that's what I want - but it should be POSSIBLE. Effin 11000 Prestige Points down the drain. DAMMIT! 😤
As soon as I entered my vehicle into black heart territory, the fuel instantly drained.. the next moment I was stuck into explosive gunk zombies, 1 level 3 infestation and a juggernaut... my follower died (he was not from my community) and I barely survived. Then I drove straight to the exit point, settled in a new map and turned curveballs off... I'm never going to even try a black heart ever again😂
How do you turn off Curveballs, @@parthtrivedi5203? I couldn't find it in the menu. 🤔
Right now, I have another black heart in the middle of the map, so all roads are cut off. I have no idea how I am going to survive this. I can't even get close to the edge of the miasma without these hyper sensitive Zeds attacking me and giving me blood plague within seconds. 😢
according to Rvid black PH have 7.69x more health and against it's weakness just 2x

That's why you should figure out the weakness of the black heart before going out to destroy it
I was expecting an absurd amount of health for these hearts but it's influence increasing your fuel consumption REALLY is a curveball. Wonder if bloater grenades and a flare would work as well as it does on normal hearts.
Because of this curveball i lost 2 Survivors, i drove straight into the zone not realising it was draining my petrol and i ended up stuck. This curveball is overkill if i’m being honest … you make it look so easy 😂
would love to see you make another state of decay 2 play through with the curveball update its always interesting watching you play!
I had 2 longtime survivors die trying to destroy this damn thing on Lethal! It was BRUTAL. RIP "Torque" & "Banh" The fuel consumption leaves you stranded. It's helpless!
00:29 . . .he lost very slow the fuel when he is driving near the blackheart. how does it work? when i do this, my fuel is almost instantly down to zero??? (AH, he played it in the BETA-version . . . ok)
how can I figure out whats the weakness?
How the hell did you drive there? A full tank lasts about 3 seconds on mine.
I did this while the update was still in beta. From what I've heard (I haven't got black heart again since) they *really* buffed that effect for full release, probably made it way too powerful. For me though, it was before that change

bloater gas grenade plus moly equals cheese
I can barely even get to the black plaque heart due to running out of gas, had to give up I almost died like 3 or 4 times, I play only on lethal
Yeah, it seems like for the full release, they made the gas drain a LOT more effective. This clip was from back during the beta when it was barely noticeable

Man i first time i try to kill black heart with many bullet and nade but cản kill it, and my team mate Shane dead while i try to run aways from toxic area 😢
How do you gain stamina as ur sprinting ? How is that possible ?!
With the Cardio specialization Marathon, as long as you not carrying very much weight (shown as green in your inventory), then sprinting won't cost stamina and you'll even recover stamina while you sprint
All that for just 75 influence? Lethal is really some punishment for something you did...

debating just abandoning my map. my black plague heart doesnt drain fuel but it does constantly cause damage to my survivors in the area
there is a glitch to insta kill the heart

I was worried the curveball would time out if I waited 45 minutes, so I had to go in at night unfortunately

I haven't gotten that far into this curveball event yet.
I paid 5 to the guy who told me the 3 new objectives of gathering 100(X3) material screws
but i havent yet as im 2/3...
wtf... 15 C4 n still nothing, waisting all my time n health keep running back n forth, getting bored with it now just gonna move to another map n destroy them all before they get chance to go black..:)
Some of these curveballs should be there untill the mission is done or last longer on higher difficulty.For example this black plague should be there untill u kill it.
