You are right about working class, when John;s first song came out I was about 10-11years old, now I'm 66 and still loving Farnsey. Back then he was a plumber. His personality really shines out and is genuine. My mate was working near where Farnsey was rehearsing for a concert., many years ago now, and Farnsey came over and talked to him. He told Farnsey he was a chippy (a carpenter) s well as a drummer, Farnsey invited him in to sit and listen to the whole rehearsal. WoW!

That's just John, no airs or graces, totally down to earth and full of admiration for other artists and always acknowledges his backup singers , Lindsey, Vendetta and Lisa

One special thing I love about John is the smiles he gives to the audience, acknowledgements of flowers , gifts etc . The love he has just pours out of him and he gets it returned to him in buckets . He just warms my heart every time .

The thing about John is, it's not 'just' that he has one of the most spectacular voices on the planet, or that he's enormously skillful. Nor that he's a consumate professional, at the same time as being fantastically down to earth, but that he's also a 'Bundle of LOVE'! Love just SHINES out of him. Love for what he's doing. Love for his band mates & other musicians. For his whole production crew. For his audience. And most especially for his lovely wife; Jillie, to whom he has been married for almost 49 years, and for whom he wrote a number of love songs. John doesn't have a shred of 'star ego' and is unashamedly emotional about those he cares for. 'Our John' is inspirational in so many ways. 😍Great to see you enjoying & sharing this special talent.

Thanks.I've been lucky to see John live loads of times and he never disappoints...though he does miss the mike stand quite often LMAO. When I was 19 (eons ago) he was doing a show at one of the soccer clubs before he played to large stadiums; I was right next to him and he gave me a big kiss on my cheek....oh be still my beating heart all these years later ;)

I have a lovely story to tell you both, some years ago I literally ran in John Farnham at an Australian Airport, he was with his assistant helping with his luggage etc, and being cheeky as I am, I said Good Morning Mr Farnham, he stopped and had that beautiful beaming smile, I got a hug a kiss on the cheek, then he said back at me MR FARNHAM !!! It's John sweet heart !!! He was so respectfully and his usual kind demeanor, he's only a couple years older than me.
Glad you both are still loving and listening to our John.

Hi Angie & Rollen, I love your reactions to John, he certainly is a great singer & it was a pity that the world never got to experience his touring. However, I wonder if you could react to an another great Australian group, Divinyls, led by Chrissy Amphlett. I was born (I'm 72 yrs old) and still live in her hometown of Geelong and have listened to their music from the 80s to the present day. Unfortunately, Chrissy passed away in 2013 (R.I.P.) at the age of 53, but their music still lives on. Could you please look at any or all of the following: - "I Touch Myself", "Pleasure & Pain", "I'm Jealous" & "The Boy's Are Back In Town". Keep up the great reactions and all the best from Southern Australia.🇦🇺👍

You love John so check out TINA ARENA the female equivalent to him , and you love Jimmy so check out MAHALIA BARNES his daughter who sings like your motown soul artists . Thank you and your beautiful partner for reacting to our Aussie talent . John presents as a down to earth bloke because he is exactly that and apart from his talent and stage presence being world-class he has never let fame and celebrity change him , that's what Australians like about him the vast majority if not all tru blu Aussie's can't stand people who are up themselves (put on aires) and we have a tendency to cut this kind of person off at the knees , I doubt you'd find an Aussie to say a bad word about him . Please react to him singing COOL CHANGE and PLAYING TO WIN or his cover of LONG WAY TO THE TOP with the Melbourne Symphony orchestra this song involves everyone on the stage and is truly worth seeing

Another great reaction from the lovely couple! Regarding the lack of a "poor attitude/arrogance", we rarely get that with Aussie artists. I believe it stems from our original penal colony foundation as a nation. Many original Aussies were convicts, sent here as a result of the British class system and it's ridiculous laws. The idea of "mateship" was born from the struggle in a "new" and harsh land. From this we strongly developed a believe in equality, so anyone with "tickets on his/herself" will swiftly be pulled down. John was working in the plumbing trade before his musical career took off. A lighthearted poke at highbrow pursuits in the Arts is his duo on stage with ANTHONY WARLOW singing, "Grenada." Anthony is opera-trained but his work is mainly in musical theatre. He has been/is the main male lead singer in many musicals including, "Phantom of the Opera." Anthony is a gorgeous guy and talent with a beautiful voice. His breathe control is incredible. They joke around throughout the song, so you'll be able to see more of John's fun side. And one for the Aussie girls- VANESSA AMOROSI is a fabulous singer. She has a big vocal range. As as a teenager, she sang in the Sydney, Australia 2000 Olympic Games Ceremony. l love her song, "Have A Look". Both songs from these singers are on You Tube. Keep enjoying our singers so we can enjoy you!

Carolyn is correct he does cover most genres of music. With John though it more than his voice, on stage he is phenomenal, his interaction with his fans is second to none. He loves for you to sing along and his delight in being able to sing for you comes across. The fact that so many new fans can listen to his music and feel the magic of John on stage is testament to his ageless appeal. There is nothing 'constructed' about the way he sings his songs, he gives his all to his fans when he is on stage. He is now a man in his seventies and he can still get up on stage and stun with the power of his voice and his love of what he does.
