Castle Mountain lookout - Dec 14th 2024

Castle Mountain Lookout in Banff National Park is a stunning hike that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bow Valley and beyond. The trail is about 7.6 km round trip with an elevation gain of 548. It's generally considered a moderate hike and if you do it if full winter conditions, make sure you can evaluate your surrounding as there is some potential for avalanches. For us that day, the snow cover was minimal and it was totally safe.
